Bast, observing the imminent danger of an apparently incontinent new arrival, deactivated her Armor of Wind and jumped for the evil-looking man. She charged an Oukashou in her hand, prepared to unleash it directly on the man's toughened muscles.
Mononoke was plugging away at the newly-spawning automatons when the lightning skittered across the beach. She immediately launched several metal arrows at the ground, providing lightning rods to attract the electricity and hopefully lessen its effects.
Meanwhile, the Princess was enjoying smashing fake skulls when she came upon the boulder. She launched a punch for it, but the sand shifted under her foot and she slipped a little bit. Her fist only grazed the boulder, but it cracked nonetheless. The automatons in the area would seize up momentarily, and would begin to move more jerkily.

Rolling over to face upwards the sleeping Lucas would groan and get up. his eyes still closed and flask in hand he would quickly leap towards the closest automatons and while drinking with one hand he would attempt a straigh jab with the other to the chest. this would miss and he would fall short of the automatons. his flask slightly leaking out a strangely large amount of alcohol that would begin to soak the ground around him. he would slowly get up but if any automaton tried to attack him he would simply fall away from it as if he were having a hard time figuring out how to get up. slight snores could be heard from his body every few minutes.

James Cameron Poe King of The Frozen SandJames was once again torn in his need to act against the enemy and his duties as a medic. James made a judgement call after analyzing the dark man and the busted gennin. James dashed forward, his speed shocking for a man of his size, and did two things. the first would be to blast the row of automatons in his way as he dashed slightly out to the left with a mach 4 airwave, James did not know the strength of these new automaton, but little could survive the precise blast of earthshattering wind. As James blew by the automatons, he would cover the last five feet in one lightning fast slide, and launch a chakra fueled kick that James had perfected. the kick provided the ultimate strike. Utilizing the entire body of The King of the Frozen Sand, The kick would impact on the boulder with 8 times the force of Oukashou. James used his percison to aim the kick to launch the shrapnel of the boulder, or the boulder itself at the dark man. Extreme decapitating airwaves. Keshin frowned when his attacks did nothing but decided he needed the extra boost and easily opened the first four gates. Hi body began to sweat as he grinned again and set Suki down. Crouching low he would take off at four times his normal speed. Being blinding fast now he would appear right above the dark haired man and slammed his foot down at his face. Even if he missed he would vanish once again and go to throw a punch at his face. However this was a faint and just before contact he would vanish and re appear under the man and proceeded to slam his foot towards the man's gut. Flipping back he would wait to see the effects of his attacks now.

Howaido was about to yell to take them out when he felt nothing leaving his throat, his vocal chords did not work, it seemed no ones did. He could not dwell on this though, as being up front the brunt of the electric attack washed over him. Dulled by the lightning rods the electricity passed off of him like a splash of water due to his resistance to electricity. With the automatons weakened temporarily he went at it with all of them. Enhancing the length of his cleaver and utilizing his white chakra he sent an extending boomerang styled attack from his position with his cleaver and launched it in a straight line the blade massive enough to catch every last one on his left side. Drawing his swords he went to work on his right side using caligraphy. When the cleaver made its return run he would jump and let it pass to annihilate more, retrieving it not the highest priority at the moment. His passive ability of Vorpal Blades made his offensive attacks unstoppable, this man was threatening his friends with all he had and now the beast had been unleashed.

Manfread's saw the lightning streak forwards and blinked. Jabbing the tip of his sword his sword into the ground and hiding behind it the large chunk of metal would hopefully act like a lightning rod grounding any bolts that came his way. Activating his Byakugan his vision sprang out and he could see so much more then a normal person. He watched as the other genen opened more Gates then Manfread could, and charge in.
This will be a good distraction, he thought as he was out of sight from the man since his sword was in the was. Manfread sank into the ground using Earth Military Movement. Quickly creeping up behind the Raccoon wannabe man after the other genin finished his fast assault, he would burst from the ground and hammer a haiken into his enemy's lower back, rib area. If it his the chakra released would aim to break a few bones, since this guy's muscles seemed to be made of iron.
The very edge of Manfread's vision was just starting to go a little fuzzy, as the islands ocular deterioration began to set in. Manfread passed this off as lack of sleep, since he was not really paying attention due to the fact he was now in close quarters.

Scoffing at the deliberate punch, the man reached out with a hand & stepped to the side, pushing down on Bast's forearm with two fingers in a sweeping motion. Tumbling head over heels, she would flip over & into the gate, gone from the battlefield, her presence having been rapidly phased out from the dimension. With the Sannin Bast out of the way, the man grinned as the bruised genin tried nearly the same tactic as before, even though he had just demonstrated proficient knowledge of Aikido on one of Suna's finest warriors. With the genin slamming his foot down on the man's face, he played nearly the same exact tactic as before, half-stepping out of the way & directing the kick around in a circle. Due to the different direction, though, he would end up being flung at the simultaneous blue boulder's destruction, acting as an impartial shield & projectile into James' body. Disappointed at the automatons' central control point's destruction, he stepped one step backwards, Manfread's sudden appearance headbutting the back of his knee, causing him to trip back into the gate, disappearing in the same manner as the Miyamoto.
With no immediate threat anymore, the gate's door began to grind across the volcanic stone beach, very, very slowly closing. Overhead, contrails from all parts of the horizon began to rise towards a central point directly overhead of the shinobi. On the beach, the automatons powered down, easily being mowed over by any & all active techniques, including the Toruneedo Raitoningu that was supposed to be their own offensive jutsu.

Howaido smirked as he flickered to retrieve his cleaver, the automatons powering down and victory theirs it seemed. Until Bast was thrown into the gates rift, it was then when Howaido acted on instinct alone. "Sensei!" He had only the strong sense to charge in though his shinobi sense spelled danger his instincts told him not going in and possibly being of help was worse.

Lucas rolled around on the ground slowly and then rolled into a sitting position only a few feet away from the closing gate. still asleep Lucas fell down again even closer to the gate. a few seconds later he would have rolled into the gate and only his boot was left behind.

Keshin was taken back as he slammed into the side of the rock and feel to the ground. He looked up just in time to see the dark haired man get sent away by someone else. Coughing he would let the four gates close and try to stand only to find that his muscles were highly damaged durning his fight. Sitting up he would relax against the boulder he had landed against and look at the other genin. I will kill that dark haired man, even if it is the last thing I do. He thought as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

James rolled back sheltering the much smaller Gennin, and came up to his feet with the momentum. The impact, hurt, but it was nothing James couldn't shrug. James set the gennin down. "Look kid, I'm not fully acquainted yet, but for the gods sake please don't do that s**t again. how bad are you hurting." James gazed over the gennin to asses his injuries quickly, and then head after the others.

Keshin groaned as James moved him in his sleep. Felling his muscles being mesed with he awoke and just nodded to James's words to hi. He still felt weak but he knew after he rested he would be fine.

Manfread, having headbutted a giant in the back of the knee, rushed over grabbed his sword and proceeded to head for the Gate. Diving head first into he was shouting something about 'cowards' running away and 'getting me a new Raccoon fut hat'. He then vanished behind the slowly closing doors.

Upon entering the Gate, those who had entered would see a greenish-black expanse extending limitlessly in all directions. The dark background was studded with small spots of varying colors, the closest of which was a little over three hundred meters away and very rocky, much like a floating island.
The platform on the other side of the Gate was a large, flat, rocky disk that was about one hundred meters in diameter and twenty meters thick; from it extended a path that lead away from the Gate and toward a Village floating in the distance.
Bast was nowhere to be seen, but the evil-looking man could be spied disappearing down the path toward the Village. The strange flora and fauna that dominated the other side were all absent in the wasteland that was the entrance island, the only thing of note being an old wooden sign near the Gate that read "Do Not Pass This Sign - Beware of Guard" in big, unfriendly reddish-brown letters. Underneath the message it was written in Braille, and in the margins it was scrawled repeatedly in many familiar and many ancient languages. All this was meant to deter the advance of the Shinobi, and although there was no immediate physical presence to be seen, a large amount of Chakra identical to the missing Bast's could be sensed through various Jutsu or bloodlines. The Chakra simply floated through the area as if it belonged there.

As soon as Lucas was on this side of the gate he immediately settled down and became comfy. it was almost as if he'd been trying to get here all along. this was not however the case as he had just become more calm with having exherted himself in his sleep. likely once others were with him he would probably wake however, what mood he would be in would be interesting and dependant on how he woke. also to any sensor ability his chakra would be noticed as changing slightly to mimic that of the floating chakra in the air. the new chakra would not be an exact match but it would be quite difficult to distinguish from the floating chakra source. also his appearance would be changing slightly as if he were reverting to some sort of other self he'd had. this was all in fact not the local area doing this but him subconciously adjusting himself to his surroundings. as a result he now looked slightly younger than normal by a few years as well as the fact that his douka was wearing off. these were results of his subconcious use of the form manipulation he could perform while in his douka state as well as the use of his chakra transformation technique which had drained him of the majority of his chakra.
