Oh, if only Jude knew. She'd seen, heard, and been through much weirder than this. It took a lot to truly shock Darryl at this point.
He was starting to relax, and so did she. False alarm, then ?
"I'd have to have a look at it, then." She could write down the serial numbers and get info of which parts went in that way. "I don't, but I know where it is, so I could meet you there ? Would probably help if I knew your name, through..." She suddenly realized that she did not, in fact, know his name. "Im Darryl."

"Jude Harrow." The briefest pause and then he offered his hand: it was professional sounding, at least, even if he had a bit of a limp fish handshake. Most certainly not a powerful personality, only his chosen method of dress really made him somewhat memorable.
"I...don't really know anyone else who knows a lot about computers, and I'm trying to keep it simple." Low-budget, actually, but he bit down on that and just shrugged at her. "I can get you free coffee in return."

Darryl took the offered hand and shook it, not seeming to mind the limpness. Hell, it wasn't like she even know what a real handshake was supposed to be like !
Hmmm... Free coffee. Coffee wasn't exactly something the nuns at school let her have, and she rarely ever had the spare money to afford some. "Sounds like a good deal to me. Depending on your laptop, I might have the pieces around already..."

"I don't know anything about it." He shifted, uncertain again for a moment, and then kicked into action -- rooting around in the inside pocket of his vest for a small notebook and a pen. Appearances were obviously important to him, the pen metal and heavy in his hand, the notebook soft if cheap.
"I can give you my email and you can give me mine and maybe I can poke around under the little help thing that tells you stuff..." He wrote carefully as he spoke, carefully forming the letters on the page, with his name above them. After a moment, hesitating with uncertainty as to if he should offer his number as well.

"Oh, that can work." She pulled her own pen and paper from her pockets, though hers was a great deal less fancy than his.
"I'll give you my cell number too, so you can call me if you need ?" She said even as she had gone beyond jolting down the email address and her name.

"I...don't think it'll quite hit the realm of..." He hesitated, floundering with the words, and then shrugged them off to just nod at her. Jude tore the page neatly out of his book and folded it in half, offering the tidy little note across to her. "Sure. I put the coffee shop's name and address on, too; that's usually where I am."

Okay then.
Darryl did blink a bit, but then accepted the paper and handed over her own. "Well, let me know when you're ready ? I'll look in my stash to see if I have anything that'll help you out."

Delicately, Jude folded the paper into fourths and then again, so it was a neat triangle he could tuck into the front of his book: all of it done with precise, delicate movements, something familiar and almost automatic. He didn't look up until he was done, and then it was a bit awkward, realizing he'd been quiet and her...
"...um. Right." He tapped his forehead, in place of a hat, and fidgeted for one more moment before he turned to go pay for his things and let him be. He was an odd one. And he'd probably be too chicken to call her, too.
