Bellatrix just stares now, her tail swishing a little behind her and her wings sort of twitch.
Her first thought is that Signis was doing this just to laugh at her.
She pushes that back. Not everyone is as devious as she is. . . . No one has the brain power, for one. Well, except maybe snakes. . . .
Her second thought is that he came here, cleverly disguising his visit as a social/business call, to prove that she is just a stupid little child.
Then, go home and laugh about it.
Frowning a little, she pushes that thought aside, as well. Signis just doesn't seem to have it in him to do something like that. Not from what Trixie has seen.
So, she smiles slightly as she decides he must be telling her the truth. Obviously. "I bet I get in a month, less if practice a lot," she says, her tone holds a hint of a challenge.
Yes, she really is that confident in her abilities.
She reaches for the jug of water and pours herself another glass, as well as refilling Signis's. "Have tips? For learning?"

Signis nods his head slowly and he smiled. "You'll do fine, as for tips..." He tapped his chin in thought.
"First, practice constantly from when you wake up and until you go to bed, learning how to do it while you're doing something is very important, because most of the time you'll be doing several things while you're doing it, also, try to focus more on the flame than anything else, as you funnel your emotions into it, it should grow larger, hotter, until it's a roaring blaze, then snuff it out quickly." He nodded his head and smiled. "Also, color the flame if you would like... it's a bit more difficult, mine is white..." He chuckled, "The color of a good forge flame..." He nodded his head. "But it can be any color, but sometimes colors help..."

Trixie nods, slowly, still not blinking. She takes a sip of her water, and her tail stills. She files away the tips so that she has them for a later date.
"Alright, I will practice, all time," she says, firmly, and with an emphatic nod.
"You come teach lesson on only that?" she asks, folding her hands in her lap again.

Signis chuckled and shook his head. "It's the foundation, but we can go over basic techniques if you would like... proper hadling, care, etc." He said nodding each time. "It's up to you..." He smiled. "I teach what my students with to learn..."

"Can we start with proper handling and taking care?" Bellatrix asks. "Need to know those before use sword, I think." She smiles again, a small one.

Signis nodded and stood, moving over and grabbign the blades bringing them over, setting hers beside her and taking his and setting it in his lap, sitting down. "For one, you'll notice my sword has no sheath... That's because I put the sheath away because I never intended to use the blade again... That is a big bad no-no..." he chuckled and ran his finger along the reddish steel blade. "Don't mistake the red for rust..." He murmured softly. "it's not..." He looked up to her. "Now, first, care... then handling..."

"So, stay in sheath, 'less using?" Bellatrix asks, and notes it in the back of her mind.
Then, her brow furrows. "No rust, then what it is?" she questions, eyeing Signis's blade. "Dry blood?"

"Yes, my father's blood, forged into the blade itself, it's called Bloodsteel, and on the isle there are only three blades like it..." Signis chuckled shaking his head a bit. "Now, every so often you'll want to oil and polish the blade..." He smiled and nodded. "Also, if it starts to dull, you'll want to sharpen it using a whetstone, or if it gets a nick..." He nodded his head. "But the metal that blade is made of should rarely do either of those..." He smiled and leaned back a bit, stroking the blade. "That takes care of basic care... Now as for handling..."

Bellatrix smiles in an almost eery way at the mention of the blood in the steel.
But, she catches herself and stops smiling almost abruptly.
What she is picturing now, though, is only for her to know. . . .
She nods as he explains things to her, and blinks once, probably to show that she understands and that he may continue.

Signis smiled back at her, not really caring what it was that she was thinking, it was for her mind alone and he would not press his own thoughts on her. He had come here to teach not to preach, besides... A little random killing was never bad...
"As for proper handling, I think we should take that outside, as there is a lot of very lovely stuff here that I would HATE to see damaged..." He chuckled and nodded slowly standing, sword pointing at the ground.

Bellatrix nods, and stands. "Good idea. No want any of my pillows slashed," she smiles again, craning her neck back a little to look at him.
"I follow you," she adds, moving to stand behing him, a hint of humor in her eyes.
She's still a child, even if she tries not to act like it. So, little games, such as the one she intends to play until theyget out of her cave and to a suitable spot, are highly amusing to her.

Signis chuckled and smiled, nodding his head and heading out of the cave. He lifted his blade to rest on his shoulder, moving with it gently out of the cave, not wanting to cut into his skin, but he had on several times in the past, and it wasn't the end of the world, just hurt like all hell... Either way, he made his way up out of the cave and towards a clear spot, looking over his shoulder to watch Bellatrix.

Trixie takes extra care to step in the exact spots that Signis's feet have stepped before her, and every once in a while, she bats at his tail.
Well, if she is going to have to walk, she might as well have fun. And, she doesn't know how long she is going to have to walk. . . .
But, her game soon comes to an end, and she moves to face opposite Signis, carrying her blade the whole time, mimicing the way his blade rests.
Her amused smile fades, and her eyes sweep around the area. Nodding, she returns her unnblinking gaze to Signis again, expectantly.

Signis slid the blade from his shoulder and held it infront of him. He bowed low and chuckled. "Lady Bellatrix we shall start with basic form and go on from there..." He slid into an attacking stance, sword held before him. "This is your attack stance..."

Bellatrix beams at the title when she hears it, and starts to unsheath the sword. There is the respect that she expects others to give her.
Then, as she studies his stance, her smile starts to fall, and her face becomes one of complete concentration. As an afterthought, she bowed to Signis, ever so slightly.
Because, Bellatrix bows to no one.
Then, she starts to imitate the way Signis is standing. After a few moments, she seems assured that she is in the right position, holding the little sword in both of her hands, and watching Signis closely for any signs of movement.
She takes the time now to try and do the trick Signis was telling her how to do earlier, but she is also a little distracted, listening for any instructions that Signis might have for her. As far as she gets, this time, is imagining a bit of green flame, slithering oddly instead of flickering, as though it is trying to be a snake.
