Personality: Dedicated to his family and pride, very noble yet strict when it comes to morality and justice. He takes his job very seriously and is devoted to the well being of those he calls friends and the innocent. Often misunderstood and considered prideful or stern, he is just a simple male trying to do his best with what he has been given. In private he is a loving mate and doting father, often showing a rare touch of understanding to kids games and the trouble all youths get themselves into.
Image: no cert availableWhy they would join/fit in Kizingo'zaa: Giovanni and his mate Maria had lived all their lives in their family pride, it was a small band dedicated to protection of the innocent and the triumph of free will over dictatorship. All of them were warriors, born and trained from the time they could walk to uphold the creed of their pride, truth, justice and honor. They had rivals, a band of equally dedicated military-turned-nobles and diplomats who thought to create a perfect world, through force and control and by taking away their free will, to 'protect' the lions from themselves and what the pride deemed 'bad choices'. The small warrior band of Assassins fought the nobles in an endless war, each side suffering heavy losses and yet gaining small victories. Then the nobles hired a band of rogues, violent huge brutes with more brawn than brain. Under the Nobles guidance, they attacked and finally destroyed the family's pride, slaying nearly all the members. Those few who were left fled the area, going into hiding for many months, taking new names for themselves ad staying far away from any other pride. By the time Giovanni and Maria resurfaced there was no one left of their family, the last survivors scattered to the four winds.
The pair finally reached the boarder of the Kizingo'zaa pride's land and with no strength to go any further, they sought safety within the pride, hoping that at last they would be able to rest and grieve for those who had been lost.
The sanctuary of the pride and its open-door policy and general secrecy attracted the homeless couple. Knowing that there were few places that would tolerate their beliefs, the Kizingo'zaa's open-minded status was a god-send. Giovanni has no issues abiding by the 'harm none' policy of the pride and is almost counting on the pride's new high level of secrecy to protect his mate and their family, having lost faith in his own ability to protect them alone.
What rank would you want for them? Patron – While he is more than equipped to go for the Patron General rank with his long service in a military like society, he is not looking for more responsibility, and only wants to live his life quietly with his family so will be ‘keeping his head down’ and not seeking out any more notice than is entirely necessary.

Personality: Born into the noble Mozzi family, her parents strongly protected her from the outside world, which she grew tired of by adolescence. Maria liked to blend with "real citizens" when she was younger, leading to her chance meeting with the lion who would later become her husband. Her parents allowed her to start crafting close to the family palazzo (den). A week later, while working, she met "a male with such conviction I found myself rooted to the spot, I couldn't look anywhere else." This male, Giovanni Auditore, developed a close relationship with Maria, and soon after they married. Following their marriage, Maria went to live with Giovanni in their own den away from her family. As a member of the Auditore family, she continued to fraternize with the lower classes, developing a working relationship with many, ignoring her noble parent's wishes.

What rank would you want for them? Crafter. As a slightly older female she wants something that will occupy her during the long hours of the day but not something that will require the energy of a younger lioness like the Mummers rank.
