Krovi waited and waited as he watched his trap with a yawn. He looked away for a moment only to hear that his box had fallen onto something. He scurried to see what he had caught. A wild forest spirit, something instead of junk!

Sepheran had heard about thee scarefari and wanted to see what the big deal was so he decided to go ahead and set up a trap to see what he could catch. Lo and behold when he returned to the trap he was surprised to find that he had actually caught something after all!

It seemed to be some sort of Torterror. Taking it into his arms he brought it back home out of curious to see what it would become.

It seemed as if Xiu had caught something for her troubles but...she was a little confused, really, as to how this thing got into her trap in the first place. Could...could it move? She hadn't been watching when the thing fell into her trap--she had glanced away for only a sliver of a second, and when she turned back...

...The Baku wasn't sure if she really liked this thing though. Something about it seemed kind of...snarky, as if it were insulting her--or at least, saying something rude to her--in some way.

Carmine was having a hard time finding where he had set his trap in the Scarefari. For some reason he decided the dark woods was the best place, so he had hidden it slightly among the trees to fool the little creatures. Now walking through the menacing forest, he was lost. He had no idea which way was what and how to find his way out. Finally getting bored, Carmine spun in some circles with his eyes closed and counted to ten. When he finished counting, he stopped spinning and opened his eyes, that was the direction he went. Quite possibly one of the worst ways to decide where to go ever.

Somehow it managed to work out for him. In the distance, not too far off there was a faint glow and the rustle of something small struggling to get away. Carmine stealthily (read: like a bull in a china shop) made his way over towards the noise and glow. Once there he realized it was his trap, and he had caught something! He wasn't sure what it was, but it was his and he was going to keep it.

Now just to find a way out of here....

He'd only been there a few hours this time before the box trap he'd set had fallen and twitched a bit. Gleefully, he'd bounded over to see what he'd caught, hoping it wasn't another snail.

It had been ever so pathetic, curled up beneath his trap in a tight little ball and blinking at him when he'd lifted the box. It hadn't even tried to run, just squeaked and looked at Tyr, likely hoping for food. As pathetic as it may be, a catch was a catch and it was certainly better than the glowing blue snail he'd caught the day before. He'd take fluffy balls of fur with glowing eyes any night.
Tyr grinned triumphantly as he trotted to the booth to record his catch of the day, cradling the small shadowy critter in his arms.

Edel had fixed up a pretty shabby trap to be honest – it looked like a hole that was just filled with leaves.
Seemed to do the trick though – and she was delighted to see that her trap had lured in a rather sluggish looking creature.

Picking up the snail by the shell with her fingers, the frost demon dropped the creature into a jar. It looked at her lazily, moving its tentacles in a slow-mo fashion. Did she forget something? Oh right. Scooping up a few leaves from the trap, Edel placed them in the jar and watched the sluggish thing proceed to resume its nomming.

The undead grombie had been enjoying learning how to set various traps. Levia often went back to the festival and checked in hourly to see how her trap had fared. More often than not it had been quite empty, but her luck hadn't left her entirely and she managed to catch a few creatures. She was still perplexed over who would leave a decent pair of shoes in her trap to wander the woods with no protection, but to each their own.

This particular trap involved a sturdy vine (and goodness knows she had enough experience with vines since the incident in the haunted house) and a well placed fluff of brush. The foliage hid the knotted makeshift rope, which would encircle any who triggered it. With a sprinkle of sugar in the middle from a bottle she had obtained to help lure in some creatures, the ensemble was complete.

Pleased with her preparations, Levia had returned to the festival once more, following the myriad of booths and activities and strange creatures alike.

An hour's time passed and she returned for her trap as dutifully as ever. Her trap had been snapped, and she eagerly trailed the vine with her eyes to the end. She had caught..

Well, she wasn't exactly sure how she managed to catch herself a cupcake. It didn't even have any brains sprinkled on top. Regardless, this was proof that her traps worked, and so she took her prize and stashed it gingerly in to her bag.

While it had taken her some time, Astra had eventually managed to catch herself something with one of her traps. Excited, she lifted up the box and saw..

...and saw

What the heck was this thing?

It was like a cat...but it was a fish...A catfish? She had never seen anything like this before. She prodded the fish but it merly flopped around useuslly onthe ground. Ah! she needed water!

After some frantic searching, she had managed to retrieve a bottle fillies with water, and placing it in the bottle she began to set up a new trap. Maybe she would catch something else?

Adyian didn't know how long he had been quietly sitting in the forest waiting for something to come along and be trapped in his trap. As so far he had only caught coal, ore and junk. He still couldn't figure out how those things could have gotten in his trap, unless it was a passing minipet that was doing that. But never had he seen anyone of thing put it in his trap only tracks. But he was having fun none the less at this place remind him so much of home.

Just starting to nod off when he just heard that his trap had been tripped. Carefully getting up from his hiding and stretched as he didn't need to have a crick in any place just in case he caught something that gave more of a fight than anything that he had caught already. Quietly walking up to the trap as he didn't want to stress out if there was a minipet inside of it. Getting closer to the trap the Fu Dog could hear that something was scratching from the inside of the trap trying to get out. Excitedly he carefully lifted the box to see...

What he thought looked like a rock until it started to move. Adyian thought it was the most epic thing he had ever seen. As rocks to him were interesting as he knew lots of different ones. Carefully he picked up the minipet to see it did have legs. "Its alright little one I wont hurt you. I just want to keep you and protect you as well," he said to the minipet as had tried to get away, but had stopped it struggling as it heard Adyian's soothing tones and calmed down. Crawling up his arm up to his shoulder as it watched everything around. "I think that I will call you Granite," Adyian said as he petted his new pet.

Sebastian was in the misty fields of the scarefari, looking for a good place to set up a trap. He wasn't exactly ... trap savvy- he preferred to pet animals, not catch them. When in Amity, do as the students right?

He set up a little box with a string and a stick, and set some bait in it. It was literally the type of trap that scarelings set up when they were trying to catch bunniculas- absolutely no brains put into it whatsoever. It was the only trap that Sebastian knew how to make though.

However, after watching the box for so long with no results, Seb grew bored. He leaned back onto a soft patch of grass and closed his eyes. It's not like anything was coming any time soon.

Sebastian opened his eyes lazily, trying to gain his surrounding. Oh jack! He had fallen asleep! He glanced over to his trap, and was absolutely flaggerghasted that the box had fallen down, and something was moving inside of it. Carefully, he lifted the lid and found ... a pastry box? How odd. He picked up the little box and carried it away with him.

Damien had pride in himself for having some decent hunting skills, at least under normal conditions. If math was any indication, her was horrible at making traps, so it was no wonder why his shambling traps fell apart as soon as a potential victim came up to it.

He wasn't sure how a rock on a string could fail so catastrophically that it flung him onto the floor, it was no bigger than his foot!

He had all his faith in the classic of all traps, the covered pitfall. and for once he heard something fall down into its depths. "BOOYAH!" he all but cheered and looked down at his victim to taunt it.

He caught a green acorn.

He wasn't exactly thrilled about catching something that gravity decided to throw his way. it didn't even have a choice to evade, where was the sport in that? Either way, the hound caught something as he placed it into his pocket and reset his pitfall for hopefully something that moved.

Altair had finally managed to capture something. Sure, it was only a pastry box, but... he'd take what he could get. It was difficult, spending day after day in the barrens, wandering the misty fields and the eerie forest laying down traps, returning hour after hour to find only tantalizing tracks, the faintest scent, but nothing in the trap.

So the incubus brought forward his pastry box with no small measure of pride.

Tyr had been in this stupid forest for hours. And here he'd thought that after the field, there might be better catchings here. Jack! Was he wrong. All he'd gotten was a stupid boot. How a boot had gotten into the trap, the cat were had no idea. Maybe another of the students he'd seen in the forest had dropped it in as a joke. If he found them, he'd throw the stupid thing in their face.
Tail switching in annoyance, he stalked around the tree, intent on dismantling the trap for what seemed like the zillionth time and froze in shock. "Eh?" Something had fallen in! His steps gained a good deal more enthusiasm as he practically bounced to the trap and peered eagerly in.

"Another one?!" He exclaimed, fishing about in the leaves and retrieving another snail shell, this one glowing a rather sickly yellow. "Ugh!" He hissed, baring teeth at the shell, which gave off the impression of being unimpressed. Huffing, Tyr stomped one booted foot and gave the hole-in-the-ground trap a glare before setting up another one and stalking through the trees towards the recording booth. Maybe someone else would want the thing.

How many traps had he set, how many times had he caught nothing? Not that he had caught exclusively nothing, he had caught a fair few creatures, some he had seen a couple hadn't, as well as several pieces of coal (he still had no idea how coal was getting into his traps). Thinking about it he realized he really shouldn't complain.

This time he had found something he'd never seen before in his trap. He had no idea what it was, or how it had gotten into his trap. At first glance it looked somewhat like an onion, but he doubted that's what it was.

Putting aside questions of what it was for a moment, he set the object on one of the tables, filled out the info he did know and attached a picture. He supposed he would have to wait to see what, if anything, revealed itself from the object.

Lynn stood over the notebook, preparing to write down a short message. She cast a suspicious glance at her minipet before starting.

The whole thing was rather uneventful. I checked my trap, and was surprised to find it full!
Though, I have no idea how the pet I found actually got into my trap. It must have rolled, seeing as it is only a ball with a tail. Quite fortunate for me, I think. But if it can move around so much at this stage...I can't wait to see what it turns into. -Lynn

She then stuck a picture of her new pet into the notebook.

"I imagine I am going to have to keep an eye on you," she said to the ball as she scooped it up and walked away.
