Izumi didn't know what was going on. Why was Jerome here? How did he know those men? The engineer was in too much of a shock from everything that was happening, and the gashes in her arm, to get up and run, let alone think about what was happening. When Jerome and the two men were fighting, all she could do was watch.
After the fight was over, and Jerome was reaching for Damin's neck, Izumi hiccuped, her sobbing continuing, even though she seemed to be safe now. Finally, Izumi managed to push herself onto her knees, putting her hands on the ground and coughing because of how out of breath she was from crying.

Jerome's hand stopped when the sobbing caught his ears. jerking up and glancing around, for the first time looking over at the women that had been attacked by the gang.
... He knew this would happen, He KNEW it, she was so nieve and careless about this part of town, it was bound to happen eventually... but still... she shouldn't have had to have it happen.
She was going to go into panic, she couldn't breath. Forgetting about the gang members, Jerome quickly crossed the Ally and kneeling down next to her. "Calm down Izumi, slow down girl, breath slow, dig? slow."

Izumi tried to do what Jerome said, stifling back her tears as best she could, though her body shook with the effort. "I-I-" Izumi looked up at Jerome, her face streaked with drying tears. "H-how-" She wanted to form a sentence, say something to him, but she couldn't figure out how to get the words to work. If he hadn't had shown up... well she didn't want to think about it; he saved her. Izumi squeaked something unintelligible and, without warning, wrapped her arms around Jerome, still shaking.

It was uncertain at this time, whether or not that blood on his hands were his own, or were from the men he just beat into the ground. He didn't even take notice of it, reaching his hand down to the back of her shoulders as she tried to catch her breath, trying to speak.
He glanced up every now and then, glancing around the entrances of the ally, clearly knowing better than to let his guard down... there would always be more.
He was caught off guard however, when arms suddenly wrapped around him, Blacked eyes widened slightly, his whole posture stilling, and for a few moment, he didn't know how to handle a situation like this.
The moment passed however, and his posture relaxed, his chiseled, hard expression becoming soft as he lowered his gaze, listening to the women's panics.
This wasn't the kind of world someone like her should have been exposed to, this was his world to fight against... not hers.
"We need to get you out of here." He said finally, and with relative ease, put an arm around her back, the other one shifting under the bend of her legs as he picked her up. standing on his own two feet again.

Izumi let out a startled squeak when Jerome announced that they needed to leave and suddenly picked her up. She wanted to protest and say that she could walk, and he really didn't have to carry her, but when she opened her mouth to speak, only pathetic whines and nonsense vaguely resembling words came out, punctuated with a deep and staccato-ed breath. Defeated, the mechanic put her arms around Jerome's neck, not entirely sure that he wasn't going to accidentally drop her. The metal arm was coated with red, as was the flesh connected to it, which was the only real remaining reason for Izumi's tears--Not to mention the scrape on her cheek, which wasn't bad, but stung badly.

Protest or not, the man's grip on her was firm, and secure, clearly this wasn't difficult for the seasoned gangster. His focus was on the streets around as he made his way to the main street, glancing around constantly as he hurried. leaving the three Griffin gangsters alive, but uncontentious for who knows how long.
not a word was spoken from the man, taking her all the way back to her shop. He would suspect the door to be unlocked... no matter how many times he tried to tell her to lock it when she was away. He didn't have much of a hand though, so he kicked at the door a couple of times, hoping the Pokemon inside might get it.

This time, unlike when Jerome had knocked at the window, the door opened. Though the orange-eyed Metang--once beldum-- stood by the door, watching both red-blotched humans walk in, there was a significant lack of bright blue light following the two around the room.
Izumi's robotic arm rested against Jerome's bare shoulder as she waited to be put down, now that they were in her shop. "I-I..." She started again, but the words deteriorated back into unintelligible whimpering, though two words could be made out in the midst. "Thank you..."

Jerome sat her down in the first chair he could find. not pausing though as he turned and made his way back to the door, closing it and locking it, spending a good long minuet to look around the outside front though the windows for anyone following.
His breath was a little heavy, from the quickened pase he had used to get back here as fast as he could. but as he seemed to calm down, he shifted, looking back over at Izumi. "you okay?" He asked, rather simply, walking back over to her and crouching down, looking over the arm that had been harassed. a deep frown setting on his face.

The mechanic ceased her tears by the time Jerome came back from locking the door, though she was curled up tight with her legs against her chest in the chair. "I-I- um... I think so..." Izumi said quietly, looking away from her arm. She was fine, except for the obvious. Her face stung slightly and felt like something was sticking to it; She reached her real hand up and rub at her cheek, quickly pulling it away with a sharp hiss. Hitting the concrete had given her quite a scrape, or at least it felt that way.

She didn't look like anything was severely hurt, though he did catch sight of a few cuts. "Where is your first aid?" He asked, glancing around again, his eyes catching sight of a much larger Glados than he remembered, staring for a moment.
... he wasn't surprised with he lack of the other Beldum... already knowing what happened to that one.

"Bathroom... under the sink... I-I can get it..." Izumi's voice was barely above a whisper, worn out from yelling and crying. Jerome didn't have to patch her up, he'd already done so much, of course he wouldn't have had to do anything if she'd been paying attention and taken the way he showed her. "... I'm sorry."

He didn't protest to her getting up and getting the first aid kit, shifting himself back onto his feet and stepping back, keeping a close silent eye on her as she walked, to make sure she was able to stay on her feet okay.
She apologized... a part of him wanted to tell her that he told her so, a little frustrated with her naivety, and it put her in that situation... but the majority of him... didn't want to say those things, not to her anyway. "Good thing there were only three of em this time." he said instead, walking after her.

Izumi was mostly fine going to the cabinet by herself, only stumbling initially. The first aid kit was brought back to the couch, where she opened it and realized very quickly that it was difficult to clean or dress any wounds one handed.
"Y-yes..." She said in reply to Jerome's positive outlook. "Y-you... um... did... good..." Izumi wasn't sure if that was the right way to say that Jerome had been a bad a**, fighting off the three men on his own. She'd never really been in a situation where any physical fights had broken out, so she didn't know the proper etiqute for compliments for the occasion.

As awkward as she seemed mentioning the fight he got into, Jerome seemed just as unknowledgeable as to how to reply.
It hadn't been easy, Jerome ignored the cuts he had gotten from it, and he probably didn't look all that great, swelling face, probably a black eye pretty soon to. "Yeah well... kinda learn how after a while." He replied, looking down at the first aid kit. Reaching down to pull out a few things from it before her. "what hurts?" He asked, leaning over to glance at the cuts she had on her face and arm.

"I-I don't think I'll ever learn how..." Izumi wasn't the fighter type; She was more likely to build a machine to fight for her- in fact, she built machines to fight pokemon, which was fairly impressive, even though she even consider all of the possible applications.
What hurt? That was easy enough to answer, though there were quite a few answers. "M-my, um... my arm..." she held up her non-prosthetic arm, which had a standard scrape from where she'd landed when she fell, as well as numerous bruises which were starting to form. The men had not been gentle with Izumi, and her arms had taken the majority of the abuse. "A-and um... my face..." That wound hadn't even really bled all that much, and would heal pretty quickly. Her other arm, on the other hand... She held up her robotic hand, making the many cuts, some fairly deep, plainly visible. "I-it doesn't hurt as um... as bad... B-but, that's just because of my arm... it doesn't really... um... bruise... or get sore..."
