Masamune slowed to a stop and waited for Einlanzer to catch up.

"We should start heading back. It'll be dark soon and I dont want to be reprimanded for being back late."

It was now around what would be called midnight. Neros sat up and looked around to make sure everyone was asleep before he left. He stepped out of the bed and went outside. He quitely slipped away to meet up with Lucifer. A while later, due to sneaking, he arrived and this time he was late. Lucifer was crouched behind a tree picking out a root of the tree. Masamune walked up and piped up in a deep voice that sounded like one of his superiors.

"Lucifer, what in the name of our lord are you doing out here?!"

Lucifer jumped and noticed Masamune. He shook his head and walked over. His gaze was stern.

"Ahh good, your finally here. I have something very important to talk to you about."
"Ok so what is it?"
"Its about the way things are going here."
"What?"
"I mean how things we are continually being stripped of our freedom. Its not right, especially when the senior angels can do whatever they want."
"Yeah and?"
"Something should be done about this injustice."
"I dont like where this is going, I wont tell anyone about this conversation but dont bring it up again. Im leaving."

Neros turned to leave but Lucifer grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.

"Listen to me, just hear me out. I found something. I want to show it to you."

Lucifer senced Akina's aura as they walked through the forest. He acted as though he didnt notice. She would be his trump card if things got bad. Neros posed no threat to him, but he didnt want to kill him. They kept walking and soon the forest grew darker as a small aura protruded from the the aura of the forest around. A while of walking later they could hear the sounds of moving water. It grew louder and louder. A moment later they came to a river.

"Is this what you wanted to show me?"
"No... Stay alert. Its up stream."

Neros had heard strange tales of this area. The strange aura grew stronger as they waded across the river to the other side and began to move upstream. It was something neither Lucifer of Masamune had ever felt before, even in their passings to the dark realms of the universe. An hour later they came upon a small waterfall with a cave behind it. From inside the cave poured out the strange yet seemingly warm and inviting aura. They moved around the fall and into the cave.

As they walked deeper into the cave the aura became colder and more forboding.

"Remember one thing as we go further. This is a secret. If anyone finds out the must be eliminated."

His statement was cold and fierce, not like the Lucifer Neros had known.

"What do you mean? Eliminated? What is this place?!"
"A place where our Lord's all seeing eyes cant reach. The depths of darkness and the well of power to control everything we see. We could take this kingdom and make it our own."

He squinted his eyes and looked into Neros'. Even though it was pitch black, Masamune could feel Lucifers eyes peer right through him.

"I cant... I must leave..."

Neros turned to leave but once again Lucifer stopped him. Lucifer had a death grip on his upper arm.

"I dont need you you know... I chose you. I chose you because you are my closest friend. I remember our oath of brotherhood when we were first assigned to the military. The oath to stick together and fight along side each other... no matter what. To fight and die as brothers in arms. A very grand wish, that has kept you going after I was removed from the military and put close to the grand angels. Are you going to break it? Our oath of brotherhood?"
"No... This isnt right... Lucifer, we cant do this. Its impossible, not to mention deplorable. We'll be banished in a heart beat."
"No it isnt, and we wont. We could raise and army of followers and strike them in the heart and take this place by the neck... and rule it."
"This power... What is it?"
"Its a power left over from the creation of the physical universe. It was sealed away years ago and it started to leak through. I found it a while ago. With it we can stop everything evil in this universe. But first we'd have to reform our kingdom."

Lucifer's charismatic nature and persuasive tactics proved why he was put in the grand council. But a great power now surged within him. He would chose nine disciples and with them raise and army and take Heaven by force.

"Fine..."

Neros turned his head to the side as though he had been shamed. He took a deep breath and let it go.

"Good. Now that your on my side. If you turn back we will both be put to death or banished. We make one more pledge. Right here right now. To see this endeavor through to the end. And to renew our old pledge of brotherhood. Oh and no grand theatrics, a simple hand shake will do. I dont want to make much noise in here. Plus they can sense our swords."
"Fine."

Neros stuck out his hand and Lucifer grabbed it. They shook and let go. And proceeded further into the cave.

"You do know we're being followed right?"
"For a while. Ignore her... for now... She may need to be killed if she goes ay further and doesnt join us..."
"How do you know its a she?"

Lucifer placed his right hand on Neros' left shoulder and shook his head.

"You have good senses, but your gonna have to learn to read personal auras if your gonna get promoted. Its Akina."
"Akina..."

He was at a loss for words, finally Lucifer chimed in.

"If it comes to killing her, your gonna do it. A pledge of allegence kind of thing."

Masamune stopped and watched as Lucifer walked forward.

"I cant do that..."
"Well its going to come to that if she stays on their side. That or we die. Its your choice."
"But... She's like family to me..."
"Does it matter? She reveals what our plans are, we die. Its survival of the fittest now. And soon we will be the fittest."

Neros caught up to Lucifer and they entered a small chamber with a ball of some kind of floating dark matter. It eminated with an aura of supreme power. Lucifer rammed his hand into it the power shot straight through his body as he fell to his knees and cried out in pain. His hand was stuck in it and more and more power flowed into him. Finally he freed his hand. He looked the same but he now had a power to rival the Lords. Neros stuck his hand in the hole made by Lucifer and he too cried out in pain. He aquired power equivilant to 1/2 of amount Lucifer aquired. He pulled his hand out. He felt the power rushing through him.

"Now brother... There is no turning back."

The next few days flew by quickly to the date of their deployment. Nothing had happened since that night with Lucifer so Neros guessed that Akina didnt reveal their plan. Lucifer had told him that it would be best if she died on this mission, but Masamune couldnt come to letting her die while he was there for her, or any of his squad mates for that matter. The squad joined up and went to their briefing room. The all sat down and waited their CO. She walked in.

"Squad, 'tenhuh!"

She walked by the now rigidly standing Angels and put them seats (attention while sitting).

"This one is going to be dangerous, I wont lie to you. some of you may die there. But this mission is important. The fiends have gathered here, your mission is to slay them all... They are S ranked fiends and can probably slay all of you with a single blow. But your all we can spare for this mission. So good luck. Oh and one more thing, they have a Wyvern Tamer, the Wyvern is unknown so be careful. Make sure you use the weapons we provided for you. They have the Dragon element and will do extra damage to the Wyvern or Wyverns. Dont take them on one on one, you'll die if you do."

The squad left and got ready to deploy.

Their CO gave Neros an amory key. He went and opened the Armory to find several weapons that looked as though they had been carved out of a fiend.

"Sqaud! FALL IN!"

The Squad formed up outside the armory as Neros issued them all the special weapons. He gave the lance-man the Black Dragon Spear. The Black Dragon Spear was made using the pieces of a huge and powerful dragon that took two regiments to slay. It was long and plated with the durable black scales of the Fatalis. Next was Akina. He handed her the Black Dragon Sword. It too was made from piecies of the Fatalis. It was the length of a normal sword but at the tip of the blade it forked into two cutting blades and a sword breaker. The next was his Sergeant. He handed him two short blades. The Dual Dragon Ultimus. The Longer of the two blades was black and made of the same materials as the Black Dragon Sword and Spear, though it was shaped like a long sharpened scale. The other was glowing red and made form the scale of a Lao Shan Long. Another huge and powerful dragon, and favorite snack of the Fatalis. And for himself, he walked out weilding a long and immencly powerful blade. It was increadly long and slender but increably heavy. It had several spikes on the back of the blade that made it look as if it were on fire. It was a katana called the Red Dragon Sword. All were made with the soul purpose of slaying dragons and wyverns. Even with how sharp and powerful they were the wyverns could still survive a barage of attacks from all of them at once. Though they had no idea which kind they were. The could be a Cephalos, a fish like wyvern that swims through the sand, or a Rathalos. An increadably powerful wyvern red wyvern that breathes flames and explosive materials. Or it could be a Fatalis and Lao Shan Long. For all they knew they were running into certain death blind folded.

With the weapons issued the squad moved toward the launch area. As they went the landscape slowly became blan until it turned white all together. The Gates of Heaven were close and the mortal realm and their mission were too. As they closed on the gate it slowly began to open and a small tug pulled them toward the gate. All consentraited on the area where the mission was going to be held and the disapeared and reappeared in the area. It was a plain with lava and volcanos. They moved slowly and scouted out the area until they found the one of the targets. A bad target to get right off the bat. It was the Wyvern tamer. He had a relitivly weak Wyvern though. A Yian Kut Ku.

"I want you all to keep low and move to the next area. Since Sarge is scouting to the west Akina, your in command. Dont do anything stupid. Ill take this one."

He slowly crawled towrd the Kut Ku as to not get its attention. When he got close he stood up and rushed it with the mighty sword drawn. The Kut Ku turned, squacked and rushed him. Masamune rolled between its legs and struck for its weak points. Its chest and head. The first cut hit both as it was a down slash. It passed through the Kut Ku's hide. As it came down he swung it backward cutting deeper and with the third he swung it from the left side and cut at its legs. The Kut Ku reared and threw of his tamer. It turned and spit fire at Neros. Neros raised the sword to block. The fireball exploded when it hit, throwing Neros back. A flash bomb fell of Neros' belt and the explosion ignited it. It blinded the wyvern long enough for Neros to get back to his feet and cut it through its weak points one last time. This last hit dropped the Kut Ku. He then rushed the Tame and cut him in two. He moved back to the Kut Ku and carved off a scale, its ear and beak.
