"It will be an amazing challenge."
A loud voice boomed from behind them as a rather large man approached them from the back. He had a huge grin on his face as he patted both Mot and Lizzy on the shoulder (the force almost caused Lizzy to face plant on the floor; instead, she was just pushed forward a little), "Welcome to my ranch~ My my, a pair of friends? Or a young couple?"
"Notacouple," Came the rather instant and flustered answer as she blushed, looking up at the owner, "Uh, B-Bones said he told you we would be coming?"
"AH, Lizzy and Mot then?"
"Yup!"
He paused, looking both of them over before laughing, "I hope that you-" He pointed at Mot, "Are not planning to ride with that hat covering your eyes and that you-" He pointed at Lizzy, "Are not planning to ride while wearing a dress. Come here, ghoul, I can provide you with more suitable clothes."
"... Uh..." She pouted before looking at Mot in a 'I'll wear pants if you take off your hat' way.

Mot's shoulders tensed at the booming voice behind him, barely able to peek over his shoulder before he was nearly pushed down by the firm pat on the back. He finally did turn around to see the large man behind him. Must be the owner then! "Buh?" Young couple? Ha ha yeah, no. Lizzy covered that one on her own though. Mot was all kinds of eloquent.
Mot's posture stiffened as the boisterous man pointed at him, a grimace planted on his pale face. The hat? He... had to take the hat off? But Mot was not himself without his hat! A sense of panic started to surge within himself. He felt obligated to go along with it, since Lizzy had taken him out, yet taking off his hat meant feeling out of place and insecure. His hat made him feel safe.
He turned to Lizzy. She was pouting. Mot's mouth twisted into an uncertain frown. Do it for Lizzy?
Mot nodded slightly. He'd do it.

"Alright," She agreed, nodding at the owner, "But I... Can't ride." She finished lamely, tugging at the end of her ponytail, "Uh... Are you going to teach me?"
"Oh, Why not just share a horse with your friend there?"
"... You mean the horse won't fall apart?"
There was a pause before the man burst out laughing, although it was not an unkind laugh, just an amused one, "Hey hey, my horses are made of tougher stuff! You can't learn to ride in a day, after all... If you're fine with sharing a horse, I have... An outfit in mind. The two of you will match." He laughed again; yes, he had noticed the whole 'cowboil' theme going on with the boil. Come on? Hat, chaps and boots?
At least he blended in well.
"So, what do you say, cowboil?" He grinned.

Mot looked to Lizzy. Couldn't ride? Had she expected him to just ride around by himself all this time?
Mot nodded to the ranch owner, still uneasy about the prospect of losing his hat. If it was just him and Lizzy, then it might be possible to last a little while. "She can ride with me." His heart was beating quickly, nervously, but only because of the issue with the hat.
"I'm ready when she is." Hat stayed on til last minute, jackdamnit!

Yes, she had expected Mot to ride around all this time. She had already said she couldn't ride!
"Alright, come here, ghouly," He grinned, grabbing Lizzy's arm and practically dragging her to a small house near the barn; a lady was waiting outside, presumably the owner's wife. As she was dragged away from Mot, Lizzy was pouting all the way, staring at the boil with puppy eyes until she finally disappeared into the house with the owner's wife; she did not want to get out of her dress! Dresses are more comfortable than pants!
BUT HORSE RIDE. She was sort of excited about that, even if she was just going along for the ride rather than really riding.
It was several minutes later before she emerged from the house, her face red from embarrassment, judging from the way she had to be pushed out. Her dress had been replaced by a button up shirt, tucked into a pair of pants with chaps on top, while her heels had been replaced by a pair of boots. She looked like she was about to sob, although it was from her being required to wear something she was not comfortable with and feeling really embarrassed about it.
"How do you even stand wearing all of this-" She gestured at herself as she walked towards Mot, the owner walking behind her with a smirk on his face, "AND with a coat on top?" She actually sounded rather... Impressed?
"Now that you're dressed for the part, time to find yourself a horse," The owner nodded, taking out a whistle and blowing on it; a moment later, a skeletal horse trotted over, snorting before nudging Mot's hat with its nose. or rather, where its nose would be if it had one.
"This is Epone," He patted the horse before throwing a saddle on its back, strapping it down before turning to address Mot and Lizzy again, "Boil goes first, help pull the little lady up after, yeah?"

Mot watched poor Lizzy get dragged away, a befuddled expression on her face. Just what was she upset about anyway? Mot had no idea she was not a fan of pants.
Mot paced around while he waited, kicking at bits of dirt until finally Lizzy emerged from the house. Oh.. oh wow. She did not look happy. To be honest, it was very strange seeing Lizzy wear something so... unfeminine. Mot smirked a bit at her plight. "Quite easily." Mot replied with a shrug. "Though I don't tuck in my shirt." Maybe that helped? He was a boil. Wearing pants was natural, and wearing chaps and jackets even more so.
Mot turned his head as the owner addressed them again, calling one of the horses over. It had been a while since he'd ridden a horse, and the boil smiled as it approached him. Mot chuckled nervously as the creature nudged his hat. Oh right. Hat not wearing thing happening now. "Howdy, Epone." Mot said calmly, patting the horse's face. He then gave a tired sigh, grudgingly removing his hat, ruffling his hair afterward before handing it off to the owner. "Don't... lose it." He asked pleadingly.
Mot's baggy eyes lifted from the ground to regard the horse, before lifting himself onto the saddle.
Okay, yeah, this was going to be worth it.
Mot smirked slightly, then looked down, offering his hand to Lizzy. Once he had it, he pulled the ghoul up onto the horse's saddle behind him. She could hold on while he did his thing. And let us be honest, it might be slightly awkward to have her up in front of him. Only slightly.

"Not tucking in your shirt... Right..." She made a mental note of that little advice before she started to tug at the edge of her shirt with a slight frown, pulling it out of her pants and straightening it down before just standing there.
... Nope, didn't feel any different. It was still odd. Mainly the pants though.
Just as she was about to reveal her findings, the owner called for the skeletal horse - Epone - to come over. Immediately, her face lit up as she reached out to pat the horse... Not that there is much to pat, really, seeing how it was all bones. Hesitant, she then nervously took Mot's hand as she pulled herself up, making herself comfortable behind him.
"Cross my heart," Came the amused answer from the owner as he took the boil's hat, "Ride around a bit first to get a feel of her... Ah, yes, hold this too!" He took out a small handgun that was attached to his belt and held it up to Mot with a huge grin, "Filled with pellets, harmless if you do accidentally shoot at anything living or undead!" He probably found that amusing somehow, because those instructions were followed by a laugh.
Lizzy, meanwhile, still had no idea what to do. It was awkward, and she realized that while Mot was holding onto the reigns, she had nothing to hold onto. Leaning forward, she frowned before whispering, "Um... Am I supposed to hold onto something...? I'msupposedtoholdontosomethingright?"
The owner had simply vanished in the meantime.

Mot nodded to the owner. The man seemed amused by Mot's hesitance, and he just hoped he meant what he said. That hat was precious to Mot. Oh hey! He gets a gun! Mot took the pistol in hand looking it over. For now, he'd keep it in hand, along with the reigns.
Mot took the owner's advice with another nod, fiddling with the reigns until Lizzy asked a question. Mot paused, laughed, then turned his head and grinned at the ghoul, a mischievousness sparkle in his eye, that would have otherwise been hidden by the brim of his hat. "Yes. You're supposed to hold onto me." Mot informed her. "Either hold onto my belt or just wrap your arms around me. Ladies choice."
Once Lizzy made her choice, Mot got the horse moving, galloping around a bit to get a feel of the creature. "Man Oh Man. I haven't done this in a while." Mot gleamed.

"Ah! Right..." She muttered before the realization of what she was supposed to do dawned on her and she blushed, fidgeting with the material of her shirt before wrapping her arms around Mot, still blushing away. Was she avoid direct eye contact for now? Yes. Sure, she was getting used to hugging him on a regular basis, but they had always been short, quick hugs! This was like... One long hug.
Idly, she was now wondering if Mac could ride a horse.
She could always hold onto his belt, but... She had a feeling she would just fall off in that case, or... Pull him off or something.
"When was the last time she did this?" She couldn't resist asking as Epone started to gallop, her grip around Mot tightening a little, but not so much till he might get uncomfortable. The whole 'wind through her hair' thing was rather enjoyable, but she still felt nervous about the whole thing. She trusted Mot though. Thus the 'clinging to him for dear life' thing she had been doing.
"Alright cowboil," The owner's voice sounded through the ickycom, "I released some balloons out on the ranch. Bright pink balloons. Can't miss them! 5 of them in total. See if you can pop them without stopping the horse to do so! Here's a hint; bringing Epone to a canter might make it easier than at full gallop."
"Ohh, it has began!" Lizzy grinned, part of the nervousness melting away to excitement as she looked around before pointing at a pink balloon in the distance.
[Trot: Roll 1D6; odd = miss. Canter: Roll 1D10; odd = miss. Gallop: Roll 2D20; odd = miss.]

With Lizzy holding on (apparently for dear life), Mot brought the horse to a trot after a few rounds of galloping. The ickycom sounded and Mot tilted his head in the direction of the sound. Oh boy! This game sounded fun and so challenging.
Mot grinned devilishly. "Indeed." He replied to Lizzy, bring the horse back into a canter. He'd never done any shooting while riding before. He didn't want to try a full on gallop while aiming. "Keep an eye out Lizzy." His friend pointed one out for him, and Mot handled the reigns with one hand, aiming his pistol with the other at the pink balloon.
He felt like a real cowboil now!

"Will do!" She giggled at his instructions and watched in mild fascination and awe as he managed to get the balloon on his first try; granted, he had slowed the horse down, but it was still impressive! Throwing her hands up into the air while cheering (and almost falling off the horse as a result), before quickly leaning forward and uh, hugging Mot again, Lizzy's blush deepened as she sighed in relief, "Neverdoingthatagain."
Resting her head on Mot's back (yay warm body!), she took a moment to recover from almost falling off the horse before something pink caught her eye. Sitting up straight, she used one hand to point at it while her other hand remained firmly wrapped around him, "Thereeeee!"

Mot turned his head back as Lizzy let go to cheer. Stupid ghoul! Luckily, she clung back to him again. "You'd best not." Mot scolded with a chuckle. Unless she felt like flying off a horse. Chances were that was a big no.
There was another balloon in their sights. Mot decided to try once more while cantering before trying for a gallop. The first shot may have only been a lucky one, after all.
"Dang.."

"I won't!" She nodded at Mot without actually looking up at him, as her attention was on the nearby balloon; she had learnt her lesson after that first time, and had no intention of falling off or hurting herself, "Promise."
When the boil missed, she gave him a gentle squeeze (since her arms were wrapped around him anyway) before smiling, "It's only your second time shooting from a horse! I think you did pretty well!" Pausing, she tilted her head, "Are you going to turn around and uh, canter by again?" The owner had said something about a canter or a gallop and one being harder to aim from than the other, after all.

The compliment was met with a smile that could not be seen by Lizzy.
"Oh, I'm going back all right. Me and that balloon have unfinished business." Mot turned the horse around, now galloping.
Plan: Taking that balloon out!
A gallop may have not gotten him a hit, but it felt amazing to try.

Was she prepared for the gallop? Nope.
"Ahhhhh-" It would have been accompanied by flailing arms if she wasn't clinging onto the boil, her eyes wide open as he charged towards the balloon. Peering around him, she frowned, "B-be careful!" She was sure he knew what he was doing, but some warning before going faster would be nice!
"That was... Rather fun," She had to admit that going faster was rather... Thrilling, compared to going slower, especially when accompanied by a gunshot.
