Jason Kharo
Bounty Hunter
A drink always helps.

Jason listened to the Adept with half of his attention, while watching the little Ratling with the other half, keeping an eye on his hands and body movement. He could clearly see the abhuman was surprised the Adept wanted a drink, and concealed a very well hidden smirk by turning to the side for a second.

He knew the bar environment quite well, and had interrogated his fair share of people within one's confines, and had made a mess of dozens of them around the galaxy. It was one he was comfortable in, but knew that alcohol and angry men could be extremely deadly to any bystanders, and he knew why the Adept was taking him along, although Tarquinn could most likely handle himself, he could understand why he would want Jason nearby.

[Short post, sorry.]

Alphonse Tarquinn
Princip Adept
Rubi's Bar

Tarquinn followed the ratling to a local bar. Judging by the local clientele this was not a high class place by any stretch of the imagination, he looked down at his clothes and wished he had changed, his current attire would stick out like a sore thumb. Nevertheless he was determined to sample the local ale and stepped across the threshold.

As he entered the hubbub and chatter of the bar fell silent and all heads turned to look at the offworlder. He made his way through the bar and took a seat at an empty booth and signaled for his companions to join him, he beckoned the barmaid over and ordered them a round of drinks.

He wanted to wait until the locals lost interest in him and his party before making any inquiries, for for now they would sit, drink and talk to kill time.

'So my friends, let us get better acquainted with one another, I imagine we are going to be spending a rather long time on this assignment and I for one want to know a little about who is working with me. Also, I want your opinions on our mission here. That includes you Bodo.'

Emperor's teeth, this was going to be long, long mission....
Scarlet looked carefully as she dodged around people in the croud, she didn't know why she was asked to dress like this, or even make her presence known to those she was working for, she may not have been a high ranking member of the Death Cult of His most Holy Emperor, but she was given orders, and by Imperial law, one doesn't ask why one serves, only how. She was given a very short breifing on her mission. She was to find Alphones Tarquinn and help him discover, search and root out any heresy that they find. He had been under survailence by the cult for a number of days prior to the the request, they were confident that he was no going to be a threat and that the light or the God-Emperor was with him in his quest. With that said, he was her superior until the mission was complete or the Cult claimed her back into their services... or she gave her life in the name of the God-Emperor, any of those scenarioes were fine. Her robes were that of a journeyman Adapt, to be brutally honest, she felt a little sacreligious wearing these things. After all, she was not a member of such a Holy guild as that of the Bureaucracy of the most Holy Terra. She was not of such a noble bloodline as that, she was just an Imperial Worlder, orphaned by war and then trained to foster the rightous of hatred for the Traitor, the Heretic and the Mutant.

Scarlets long hair was set in a thick single braid that was placed down her back. she walked down the winding streets towards the pubs to find where her temporary supervision and overall boss was staying for the time being. She knew that one of his guilds was a ratling... vile mutant... if she had things her way they would all be eliminated. But that was beside the point, not many places allowed mutants of any kind in, so her search was thankfully lessoned to the more seedy places, they likely wouldn't have brought everyone far from the landing point in case there were cases like her that had some last minute business to take care of before coming here. The heel of her boots clicked softly on the paved streets as she walked by, the sound being lost to the crowd of miserable looking people that were scattered around. There were many beggers that litered the streets, the poor and the oppressed were everywhere and the once stable economy had ground to a hault and a rise of theives, scum and other ne're-do-wells were coming out of the wood work and having to steal and loot as a means of survival. Scarlet had no love for the Adaptus Machanicus, they were as alien to humanity as any of the Xeno scum that infested the galaxy. She would have no heartbreak over anything she may have to do if the evidence pointed to blasphemy of the Mechanicus.

After a few tries she finally stumbled across Rubi's bar, upon entering she was greeted to the stares and unwelcoming glances of the occupants. Her gaze hardened and her eyes narrowed slightly at the rest of the occupants before taking a quick look around. It was probably a good thing that Alphonse was wearing robes that made him stick out like a sore thumb, if he hadn't she would probably have just walked on and started to search the other bars and pubs. She gave a quick study of the mans face and confermed that it was Alphonse that she had finally found. She hoped that she hadn't kept him too long. This port was surprisingly large for an Agricultural world. Scarlet had troubles removing the scowl from her face as she walked over to the rest of the small group that had gathered. She did her best to at least create a little more stocism into her face. She made the sign of the aquila to Alphonse and bowed her head slightly to the group. She said nothing to the group and look a seat. She let her sapphire blue eyes slowly roll over to Jason, she guessed that he was an Imperial worlder like herself. Her look darkened conciderably when her eyes fell on the mutant. She didn't care for mutants, and why Tarquinn was tolerating the presence of the enemy without was beyond her. perhaps after his usefulness was ove she would have the pleasure of removing a small portion of the Imperials plague with her own blade. Turning her attention from the mutie she looked back over to the man in charge, as if the answer was going to appear on his face written in neon. When the barmaid came over to take her order she shook her no to send her away. Scarlet was never one of many words, silence was her native tongue and she had become less bilingual with every passing year of service to the Moritat Assassin Cult, she hadn't earned the right to have a voice yet, so she lost it. It was less complicated when one obeyed dutifully and without question.

Alphonse Tarquinn
Princip Adept
Rubi's Bar

Tarquinn greeted the newcomer to the table with a smile, 'Ah my silent companion has arrived.'
He saw the hate filled look in her eye as she looked at Bodo and he flashed her a stern look of warning, quick enough for her to notice but not long enough to arouse suspicion.
Tarquinn did not doubt she would love to kill the little man in an instant if the choice was hers, luckily for Bodo it was not.

She was surprisingly young for someone so deadly, he smiled to himself. The Moritat had outdone themselves again. He gave praise to the Emperor that he was fortunate to have such allies. Soon Scarlet would have a chance to put her skills to use.

He knew the girl would not speak at least not vocally, but he knew she could communicate in other ways.

He gestured to her in Thoughtmark, an old sign language to be sure, but one that was favored by those who did not want their conversations overheard and a language rarely understood in these times.
'Have you been fully briefed on what is expected of you? There must be no mistakes, your identity must remain hidden for the moment.'

'Forgive me, my female companion does not speak. A quality the Administratum highly favors to be sure.' He said to the group by way of an explanation.

Scarlet caught the quick, disapproving glare. She took the voiceless command in and acknowledged it in her own way. She would not dispose of this mutie, as long as he was under the protection of Tarquinn and she was under his employ, then she would obey and the mutie would be safe. She didn't exactly return the warmth of a smile, but she gave another bob of her head, both of acknowledgement of his greeting and the acceptance of his unspoken command of not approaching the mutie in a violent manner. She didn't trust him, nor did she particularly like him, but she would turn a blind eye to enemy without. But she would keep an eye on him, and give him some wide girth.
A motion from Tarquinns hand and the signing that had been produced by them surprised her, actually. Not many knew the sign language that the Moritat used. She hadn't expected it, but it would make things easier if she did need to ask things, or if she needed to communicate something secretly to him. She closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again.
~I was only given a brief explination of the situation and that I was to be attached to you for the remained of this... task. I was informed that you would give me the rest of the details when I met up with you.~

Scarlet wasn't sure what to make of that comment about how the Administratum liked their females silent. Part of her was a little pissed off, but the rest of her knew that he was just sprouting a cover for her silent nature. She assumed that neither of these people knew of her background, just as she didn't know theirs. It was likely better that way. Knowledge was power, and power brought with it corruption. It was better to live in blissful ignornace than risk the lures of the Cursed Chaos.

Jason Kharo
Bounty Hunter
Silent Assassin? How cliché

The first few moments of the Adept's arrival were the most important to Jason, as he could gouge the reaction of the locals to the rather well-dressed Imperial coming into their bar. They weren't happy, and seemed a bit curious, yet nervous, as a couple of people had left when the Adept walked in. It would be awhile till the locals stopped talking about them, and making up theories and such why they were here. Luckily, they didn't really seem to notice Jason, and just started at Tarquinn.

He went to sit down to the older man and took his drink, staring down at it then swilling it around and smelling it, before placing it down again, then shook his head to the rest of the group, indicating not to drink the local brew. The bounty hunter turned his head slightly to look at the quite obviously disguised Assassin. She didn't move at all like an adept, she moved with the grace and elegance of a natural killer. He noticed Tarquinn and the woman pass along several hand gestures, but could only catch what half of it meant. It was something he was currently interested in, but did not have the time to learn it properly. "She's not fooling any one, Adept." Jason whispered into Tarquinns ear, shaking his head as he looked down at his drink, which had some how changed to a slightly lighter shade. "These people know something, you can tell from how they sit. They are nervous and anxious, or are they normally like this?" He said, mainly to Bodo then looked to Tarquinn to see if he agreed.

He decided to answer the Adept's earlier question, and started it with a shallow sigh, rubbing his chin lightly. "It seems quite standard, aside from the Mechanicus possibly becoming violent. But that isn't too uncommon. There are many different explanations why they would do this." He started, keeping his voice quiet. "The obvious reason, they could have found an STC, and don't want any one outside the Mechanicus to know. Another could be that who ever leads them as come under the sway of the alien or heretic, and is doing this to disrupt supply lines, as a way to help a war effort on a distant planet. That would require planning of maybe years ahead, but the alien and servants of Chaos are indeed patient." Jason explained, going through only two of the many ideas of why the Mechanicus have quarantined such an area.

Alphonse Tarquinn
Princip Adept
Rubi's Bar

Tarquinn raised an eyebrow at Jason's quiet warning, 'Her presence is a necessary evil for this mission, and yes, to you and I she sticks out, but to the engrossed masses she looks like any other adept. Trust me, the minute someone points out her disguise will be the moment it is no longer necessary.'

He looked at his drink and wondered just how awful it really was, if his ruse was going to work he would need to find out. He picked up the glass and downed half of the liquid. It was not the worst ale he had ever consumed, but for an agri world it was diabolical. The barmaid probably didn't like offworlders and had given them the worst of her stock.

'Jason, you have a keen eye for detail, I too am beginning to suspect these people know more than our reports would suggest. Keep you ears open, who knows what you might overhear.'

He reached into his robes and brought out a small pillbox, he opened it and took out a small white pill and swallowed it. The oxi-pill would counteract the alcohol allowing him to remain in control of his faculties. The game had started.

Tarquinn scanned the room and smiled when his eye fell upon a lone man at the bar, he had just found his fulcrum, and now had to apply a lever.
'Now if you'll excuse me I have an idea' he said quietly to his group before raising his voice loud enough to be heard across the bar, 'So I said to him "take your money and begone! I'll have no man say I accept bribes"' and with an animated sweep of his hand in time with his tale, knocked over all their glasses spilling their contents over the table and unfortunately into their laps as well. The other clientele just laughed and returned to their drinks, clearly this old adept couldn't hold his booze, probably why he was here in the first place.

'Oh by the Emperor I am sorry, allow me to fetch you all a new one. That was terribly clumsy of me, I'll just be a moment.' He gave them all a mischievous wink and made his way across the room to the bar.

The second they reached the interior of the bar, Bodo's hand reached up in the air and pointed at himself whilst popping a glance at Rubi. By the time they had found a seat there was already a drink sitting on the dusty table for him. Slowly he climbed up on the booth and plopped down. He had been meaning to ask Rubi for some stools around the bar but for now he just suffered with a little extra climbing. As Tarquinn and his bodyguard sat and got their drinks, Bodo had already greedily took a few chugs of his as the adept asked about personal opinions on the situation. He swallowed the liquid and was about to share his enlightened view about the whole planet while putting down his mug.
Suddenly he noticed in all its perfection a beautiful woman standing before the table, staring right at him. Rubi must have given him the good stuff, surely he was hallucinating? The girl kept staring and Scruffs grinned as he took another gulp of his drink. Finally Tarquinn gave his future lover a look and some sort of fancy handshake or something. She stopped staring, maybe she was the boss mans mistress? Perhaps now taken by the pure primal charms of one such as himself. He let it build for now, there would be plenty of time for the two of them to get to know each other better later. Typically he had forgotten entirely what he was about to say about the situation on the planet, he was too lost in his sick mind. Eventually Tarquinn explained that the girl didn't speak. Meaning she could never say no. Oh yes it was very clear what this girl was for.

forget getting paid for this job! I want a woman like this!

He thought to himself with a slight chuckle as he fantasized of a thousand dirty scenarios.
Once everything was settled, Bodo gestured for a second drink. Rubi brought it over with a smile and thanked her and took a swig.
In a cold shock his lap was covered in the strong ale and he threw his hands up into the air looking down at his soaked clothes. Much more important was his drink! He had just popped the cherry on that one!
Clearly Tarquinn was not the best drinker but he offered to get a replacement, which was a excellent idea. He watched Tarquinn from his seat as he walked up to another man at the bar. His drunkenness had only just kicked in and he wondered if he had ever seen the stranger before. He knew most of the regulars in the bar and even the new people had a certain look to them. This guy had neither. Finally he put his mind at rest, causally trying not to get caught staring at Scarlet's figure.

Ugh, why were they wasting time with this little game of the Princip Adept? They should just keep an ear open -or go to people who where higher up- and bleed the information from them. If a few died so that the God-Emperor's will was done, the end always justifies the means, so what was a few dead innocences if the world itself was saved from blasphemy? However, Tarquinn seemed to want to take the long route and do things nicely. Maybe it was her assassin nature... or maybe her quick tempered impatience at the world around her, but she didn't think that spending needless time going over to fine and delicate details, Alphonse must know where the root of this problem was located, so why not just go there, see what trouble they can stir from the nest of the Xothic Blood locust, grab on of the flesh and blood thinkers and interrogate them till they give them the information. Scarlet rested her elbows on the table and then returned her head ontop of her interlocked fingers. Her eyes narrowed in thought, plots and their consequences rolled around in her mind as she went through them.

...one of which was what was going to happen if that mutie kept leering at her the way he was. She was seriously debating if she would be able to shove that empty pint sideways up his backside without getting into trouble with Tarquinn. He gave her a sharp look about killing that little weasel... the Adept had some use for him, but maybe if she arranged his face, but left a single eye for him to see out of that would be appropriate, she could probably get out of that with a certain look and fained innocents about the subject, she'd probably have to bribe the other that was with them, but maybe she'd be doing him a favour too by putting that mutant in his place. Lets see... without knowing his purpose it was hard to decide how to politely tell the Twist to keep his eyes to himself.

Speaking of the other man who graced their group... she couldn't get a read on the guy, he was an observant one, that was for sure, granted their disguises were... simplistic... but they didn't give any reason for others to think otherwise that they were anymore than they presented themselves too be. She didn't know his exact profession but she knew it was more than an adapt. He was also told to keep an ear open for information among the people. She could eavesdrop as well as the next cult member, but to be able to attune ones ears to all, and yet be able to pick out something specific, it must have taken quiet the training to reach that. Her assassin cult didn't have the resources that the Officio Assasinorum had at their disposal (granted, there was rumours floating around the members that the true sponsorship of the Moritat lies within the distant and dread temples of the Officio Assasinorum itself), but she didn't know if even they had people trained in such abilities. This man was a curiosity, however, she would have to keep her ears open as well. She likely wouldn't be able to learn as much as this man, but she might be able to focus in on something that may be equally as helpful in some other way. Sometimes the best information was the information you weren't openly looking for.
...though maybe she could shove the ratling fully into his empty pint first... he looked like he could fit with a little coxing.

Alphonse Tarquinn
Princip Adept
Rubi's Bar

Tarquinn approached the bar and leaned against it as he ordered a round of drinks. As he waited for the bar maid to carry our his order he looked over to the lone man who was sat on a bar stool nursing his drink.

'Hi there, I'm new to this planet.' Tarquinn said in a manner he hoped would come across as drunken innocence.
'What do you guys get up to for fun round here?'

The man gave him a quizzical look before returning his gaze to his pint.
'See I heard the Mechanicus have control over an island here and I heard it was a boon for crops, being part of the agricultural department of the administratum I was so hoping I would get to take a peek and see what it was about the place that made it such good farmland. I bet it's the soil, it usually turns out to be something in the soil..'

'It was more than just good soil, I dunno, everything seemed perfect there, great land, weather. I worked on a farm there, ran it with the rest of my village. we had the highest yield of all the collectives year after year.'
Tarquinn, nodded, coaxing the man to keep talking, subtly changing his body language to make the man feel more at ease, and also discreetly slipping a compound into the man's drink as he reached over to pat the man reassuringly on the shoulder, it was designed to help loosen his tongue. the man took a swig of his drink before continuing. 'Then those ruins were discovered under our southern fields and it all went bad from then on. Those Mechanicus bastards turned up and to begin with they kept themselves to themselves. But soon they changed and ordered that they were quarantining the area. We tried to resist, to reason with them; but they...by the Throne they shot my Brother! Those bastards killed so many of my friends. Anyone who refused to leave they just killed...I...I fled into the fields, spent weeks on the run, dodging the Mechanicus patrols, I thought I'd be found quickly but there's something in the soil that interferes with their auspex scans, made them useless. There were others like me, we tried to get revenge on those mechanical swine. We were going to plant a bomb at the dig site, maybe if we caused them enough problems they would leave. We watched the dig site for days, and then something happened, I dunno what they awakened in there but all hell broke loose. they tried to re-seal the ruins but something must have got out. We heard the screams during the night. The search teams all came rushing back, and we decided we'd better get the hell out of there before we got caught.
As we ran we could hear gunfire, Terra only knows what happened to them but they got what they deserved!'
The man gave a vengeful grin, before continuing.
'I reached the capitol three days ago, I have nothing, no family and few credits. I figure the only thing left for me is either death from starvation or military service. I just spent my last credits on this lousy drink! I'm dead out of options...I'm gonna have to sign up tomorrow, there's sure jack s**t keeping me here. I figured I'd try and enjoy my last night of freedom you know?'

Tarquinn patted the guy on the back 'I'm sorry my friend I wish I could offer you something as compensation.'

He discreetly jabbed the man with a hypodermic hidden in one of his rings, the drug would knock him out for a good twelve hours.
As the man slumped forward Tarquinn beckoned the Barmaid over, 'My friend here has had a bit too much, can you provide him with lodgings for the night? This should be enough to cover it.' He said as he produced a bag of Imperial credits.
'There's a room out the back of the Bar he can stay in, it ain't much but it's better than most of the lodgings in these parts.' She said.
Tarquinn though for a minute before agreeing, and they carried the man to the room and layed him down on a small bed in the corner of the room.
'I will have someone collect him in the morning, this is official Administratum business now, so he better be ok in the morning or you will be hanging by your pretty little neck, I promise you that!'

the woman was startled at the threat but was quick to realize that Tarquinn meant what he said.

He headed back into the bar and approached his companions, but as he did a surly man who had not been in the bar earlier blocked his way.
'We don't like offworlders poking their noses into other people's problems round here' He said with a sneer.

'Oh you have got to be kidding me!' Tarquinn said quietly.

Jason Kharo
Bounty Hunter
I was wondering how long it would take

Suddenly, the rather large man's head had connected with the wooden bar to his right, making him slump to the ground, both drowsy and stunned from the unexpected blow. Jason looked down at the body then looked behind him, nodding to the assassin, then to the doors, where he knew that some one, or some people would try to block off. "Adept. We move, now." He said, stamping down hard on the man's arm, who attempted to crush his knee with hugely muscled arms, thick with corded tissue. To illustrate his point, another man, some what slightly smaller, but with a wiry frame, came at Kharo with some sort of switchblade, and lunged towards the bounty hunter with the intent to stab the blade into Jason's spine and kill him quite easily like that. The more experienced man pivoted on his heel and chopped his hand down at the attacker's neck, temporarily collapsing the thug's trachea and making the man drop to the floor, clutching at his throat, as it was clear other men weren't happy about this sudden intrusion and decided to act about it.

"Get him out of here." He said to the assassin, indicating Bodo, then pointing towards the door with a flick of his head, then nodding to the adept. "Don't get hurt too much, sir." Jason said, catching another man's thrust out arm and snapping it at the elbow, before kicking down into the thug's knee joint and delivering a swift palm to the back of the man's head, quickly knocking him out, and he also slumped to the floor.

Scarlets head turned to the side while she listened to the tales of woe that plagued this world. She wondered what those mechy's were up to this time? They were more machine than man, and because of that, she knew that they were not likely going to care what the reason was that others were doing close to what they wanted, they would use logic and knowledge of the human mind to their advantage, once word got out that all who entered perished, superstition would take over and the ruins or whatever it was that grabbed the Mechanicus' attention would be left well enough alone. It was an interesting theory, and in a backwater hiveworld turned agricultural world like this it was likely going to keep every Emperor fearing man far away. However... why do something so drastic as to murder the Emperors faithful? All they would have to say was that the land was 'tainted' by something and people would leave well enough alone. Granted... such a claim might actually attract unwanted attention, followers of the Dark Gods my well start to powerlust for it... but that would kill two birds with one stone, so why not do it? What did they find and what were they hoping to get from it? Things were getting... interesting.

Scarlet kept an eye on Tarquinn, watching him carefully as he made his way around the bar and chatted up some locals in search for information. She thought that there where better, more less conspicious ways of actually gathering it. But then again, she was not the mission leader, so she was to obey without question the instructions given to her. Scarlet watched him disappear into a back room breifly before coming back out again. She assumed that he was going to come back and tell him that they were going to move out after a quick mission briefing. Things started to change when a huge man rose up to block the way of Tarquinn. She shifted to stand up but hestitated, should she risk blowing her cover now? It didn't seem wise espeically if they needed more information or the population on their side for a while longer. If the people found out too quick that an assassin cult member was amoung them then they may be less cooperative out of terror of the Emperors Rightous Wraith.

However testosterone took over and violence errupted into the room.
...Men...

Scarlet almost brough her hand to slap her face at the sudden and... violent outburst, now she liked violence as much as the next assassin, but there was always a time and place for such things. She hoped that the twist wasn't as impulsive as their... other friend. Scarlet sighed, and with calm abandon, she could handle herself and quiet frankly she didn't want to touch the mutie incase she contracted something from him, but he was looking a little tipsy so he probably needed the assistance. She gracefully stood up and reached over the table, if Bodo 'allowed' himself to get caught by the sour faced young woman he would find that she was not the gentle flower that she appeared to be. If he did allow her to grab him, surprisingly strong fingers would wrap around the scruff of his neck and uncerimoniously drag him along as painfully as she could.
If he walked out on his own that was fine by her too. Everyone seemed to hone their attention on the brawny psychopath throwing punches. She was going to like working this guy... as long as he remembered the mission itself. Hopefully their muscled friend would just appear as any other bodyguard. At least that way they could keep whatever cloak and dagger they needed if more information was needed. Taking the word of just one man may be foolhearty, he might not be all that reliable either, he had a fair share of rotgut in his system after all. She came outside of the tavern, casually tilting her head to the side to gently dodge a thrown booze bottle that made it after her. If she had the ratling in her hand, she just let him drop to the ground. She sidestepped out of the door way to avoid anything else that made it out of the door. She gave him a bit of an odd expression.

~That could have been better handled. What's our next move?~

Bodo causally nursed his drink as he watched through semi glazed eyes as Tarquinn went about talking with a strange man. Even in his current state, the Ratling knew the look of the people and it was clear this man wasn't from around here. Perhaps he was another servant that he hadn't had the chance to meet. Although he cared little for any of Tarquinn's other help now that Scarlet was here. The woman was ravishing for being so cold to him. Then again she was most likely shy and intimidated from Bodo's impressive physique and rough lifestyle. She was after all a simple Adept and probably already had her heart beating fast from being outside some dusty Administratum office for so long.
Oh what surprises were in store for her he thought.
By the time Tarquinn returned from Rubi's back room, Bodo had finished his glass and was looking around quietly at the other people in the bar.
Suddenly a fight broke out between Tarquinn's bodyguard and a few others. Locals mostly, he saw the one guy in here before a few nights ago. The other guys name was Mick? or Tanner? Something like that.
Scarlet seemed upset and was moving towards him, most likely fearful of her precious life ending in a dirty bar fight without confessing her love to him first.

"Shhh. There will be time for that later."

He said in an almost whisper to her as he drew his stub revolver from its holster at his hip and climbed up on top of the table, kicking over empty glasses as he stumbled up in his stupor.

"Oi! Dont worry boss man! I'll get your girl out of here"

He yelled across the bar and hopped down off the table, gesturing with his empty hand for Scarlet to follow him.
He kept his head down, although that hardly mattered given his height.
Bodo led the adept straight out of the bar and by the door quickly and once he was sure she was safe he peeked back into the bar.
The Ratling turned his head back and gave her a look, a mix of lust and romance filled his eyes.
But within a second he disappeared back into the embattled tavern, revolver in hand.

"Theres no time for love in a moment like this. Tarquinn has to be saved, and I'm not letting these punks ruin my favorite bar!"

His thoughts raced as he ran under fallen tables and bar stools, granting him a beautiful cover. Finally he reached the back of the bar and crawled underneath the employee entrance. Using a small stool he hopped up on the bar at the opposite end of were Jason was fighting. The Ratling held his hand high in the air, his revolver pointing to the ceiling of the bar. He squeezed on the trigger, firing a shot right into the ceiling. The loud noise filled the tiny bar and even Bodo found it kind of ear shattering. He looked at the ruffians and shouted in an angry tone.

"Alright you punks! You think you can come in here and wreck one of the only taverns on Andalus Prime that accepts Ratlings. Start a fight in front of a beautiful woman and Try to fight a member of the Administratum! I dare say the Emperor would be looking down in shame upon you lot! All that said! Its closing time!"

He pointed the stub revolver at the nearest punk and gave a "Do you feel lucky?" look at him.
If Jason and the men kept fighting, Bodo would open fire but if they dispersed. He'd holster his gun, no sense bringing even more attention to them.

Alphonse Tarquinn
Princip Adept
Laying the smackdown, Administratum style...so you're all gonna get a fine!

Alphonse was taken aback by the swift brutality handed out by Jason. By the Emperor the man was quick.

He decided he would leave the fighting to the professional and slowly skirted round the wall heading towards the door. He was almost to the exit when he was stuck from behind, his vision blurred as he fell to his knees. Determined to go down fighting he lashed out with his foot and was satisfied when it connected with his assailants knee, snapping it. The man howled in pain as he slumped to the floor.

The fighting in the room seemed to have calmed down, so Tarquinn used the opportunity to quickly search his attacker, the man lay unconscious due the the pain and Tarquinn soon found what he was looking for. He slipped his findings into his robe before slowly getting to his feet and heading out the door. No-one was paying him any attention, they all had their eyes fixed on Bodo who was brandishing a pistol.

As he stepped into the night air he felt an odd wet sensation at the back of his head, he touched his head and brought his hand into the light, his fingers were wet with blood. No wonder I've got a headache He thought to himself.
He spotted Scarlet and made his way over to her. He hoped his fellow companions in the bar wouldn't be too long in teaching the locals some manners.

Sergeant Wayne Fokley
4th Everik Black Watch, Munitorum Security Forces
Adeptus Administratum Andalus Headquarters
SSDD?

Just a few months ago, Wayne and 3rd squad were just another number to these Munitorum big wigs. He was a serial number, either taking his place in the list of active units or the growing list of dead. Now, because of a few strings pulled and favors drawn on, he was lapdog to a small time local adept who wanted nothing more than to line his own pockets. Adept Festus Bhulov, a fat, cowardly man with an ego the size of a battlecruiser had gladly lapped up the opportunity to grab some battle hardened thugs to do his bidding while their unit "rested". The way Wayne saw it, he was still a Guardsman doing the Emperor's bidding, throne preserve him, but the big man odiously had some other plans for the scarred Sergeant. Thankfully, this was to be his last errand, or at least so Bhulov said. He was to accompany, protect and observe an Administratum adept that was coming to observe the drop in tithe, and make sure that he didn't cut the Munitorum out of the pie. If this was done, Wayne and his squad would be released from service and sent back to join the rest of the regiment as they partied through the local hive-cities. Should he fail, however, Bhulov promised that Wayne and all the men from 3rd Squad would either see a Commissar's boltgun or a Penal Legion. Gak him, but the fat man knew how to light a fire under a man's arse.

Wayne leaned on the gate outside the Administratum complex, lightly clutching a hand made smoke between powerful robotic fingers. His robotic eye whirled as it focused on the slowly burning tip, watching each ember float to the ground bellow. During one of the hundreds of unnamed battles Wayne had fought in the Cadian system, he had been unlucky enough to wander into a Chaos artillery attack. The attack ripped off his left arm and severely damaged his left eye, both beyond conventional repair. His regiment could only fund crude biotics, especially optical replacements, but Wayne did enjoy the magnification he could get from it. He took a long drag from his smoke and let it out through his nose, shifting his weight so he hasn't resting on the chainsword strapped to his back. He had been told that the Adept arrived today and was supposed to visit the headquarters building at some point soon after his arrival. Wayne snorted and took another drag, flicking the stub away with so much force that it exploded into tiny black dust. He had been waiting at the front gate for two hours now and there was no word on the Adept, other than he had landed and was on his way. As another silent minute passed, Wayne swore silently and began to wrap his third smoke. He was going to be here a while.
