Apollyon watched the tigress from the ceiling. He had managed to crawl out of the elevator and gotten quite a bit from it, but seeing as this lady was a sharp one, he decided it best to stay put untill things calmed. Seeing how the fox overreacted to everything around her, and was scared enough to actually think someone was watching even before she could've possibly known of his preassence, this probably wasn't the first time she acted that way.
Gosh that thing's annoying... He looked down at the tiger and the circular object on her back. Looks just like a freakin' halo... Oh don't tell me HE's behind this all! Naaah, he wouldn't dare, the coward. If he had anything to do with it, he would've sent me an "angry" letter on prehand, telling me he was planning some sort of test for me, atleast. Who made him boss anyway? Ugh... Isn't she done down there yet?
Once again, Apollyon was tempted to just get things over with, but there was no fun in surprising them when they were allready waiting for it. Maybe he could play them out against eachother? That kind of games are always fun. And besides, he had to sneak around atleast untill he knew what business they had up there. Maybe there were even more of them? Besides, it did seem as if they were about to have a meeting, as atlast two of them where allready at the scene. And maybe a meeting like that would be enough to get the information needed to filled out some paperwork when he got back.

All was silent for a few minutes, so Sin began to sniff the air. She thought for a moment, wondering why it seemed so familiar, and then it clicked.
That idiot dragon from earlier, she snarled to herself. What the hell is he doing here?
Sin padded forward, still prepared to fend off any incoming attack. Once she entered the hall, she closed the door softly behind her, waiting for the reassuring click to sound. The room would take care of itself if he tried to attack directly. Following the scent upwards, she saw the source of her annoyance clinging to the ceiling.
"What is it you want?" she asked smoothly. "I don't recall inviting you here and I am sure Vida did not ask you either, seeing as how she is now cowering in the broom closet."

"And the heroine strikes. Haha..." He slowly started crawling down the wall, smoothly, like a lioness sneaking up on her pray. "Oh little miss, I think you need to take another look at the situation from another level, for from up here, I can see it all clear as a day." He chuckled a bit, cracking his neck. He was now just above her eyeheight, gazing into her deep eyes.
"Milady, I never meant to scare your little friend over there, but you see, I'm on a secret mission. If she would've just hurried up a bit, it would've stayed that way too. I need not ask for permission to enter that which I own, though. That was really rather rude of you, miss. I would've used my own keys, of course, but I wasn't expecting a mission when I left home tonight, and I do believe one of my assistants have them at the moment. However, I do must say I feel sorry for you all, with that boring ol' elevator. Why haven't they fixed the music yet? Maybe I'll have to collect a debt for this... Either way, I'm just here for the usual inspection, don't mind me at all, I'll just fullfill my duties, your majesty."
He slithered back up into the roof and started tapping the walls, with his ear against it, pretending to be listening for something. "Ah yes, this side seems to be all in order. I'm afraid though, bella, this is all we have time for tonight. See, it's nearly 4 am, and I have an appointment at 5 with an important man, which I just cannot miss. So if you'd be so mostly kind and open that boring old elevator, and I'll see you again the next time my schedule allows it." Apollyon smiled quite sweetly at the tigress, looking down at her from the dark ceiling.

The tigress sneered, not believe a single thing the dragon said.
"Unfortunately for you, I happen to know the owner of this building. He's a very good friend of mine. I also happen to know none of his workers are ever unprepared nor does he ever have any "secret" missions for them, knowing they would quickly end up...disposed of by accident by his unhappy clients. Furthermore, I happen to know all of his employees. And don't attempt to lie by saying you were recently hired. His is somewhat of a family business, run only himself and his sons and his sons' sons. They're all rather hands on, so they have never hired outsiders other than when this building was built. And even then, it was a business run by his cousin."
Sin stalked closer to dragon on the ceiling, flicking the sharp, spinning ring closer to his throat. "Now, why don't you cut the bull and tell me exactly why you're here."

Apollyon was happily surprised. He liked it all very much. "There's a difference from owning the building, or even the company, from that of owning the person who does own it all, miss. I honestly can't tell you too much at the moment, I've been scolded enough this month for my big mouth, not that I see what harm it does. And by the way, my dear, you may want to put that thing away. Sure, it may sting in the morning, and it may sting really good, but you can't really kill me with ordinary things like that. You need to go by the book, you know. However, even if you could, I don't think you'd like to, for it is a responsibility to kill he who bares many names."
He looked into her eyes again. He really enjoyed the fire burning in them. He could tell she was one like himself, who was used of getting their way at all times. But this time, none of them could have their way. He had allready been stopped, and she wasn't gonna push the words out of him.
"Listen, kido. You're not that bad, I'll admit, for being amongst the commons, but I have no intentions of harming you. But I do need to get to that meeting now, and if I'm late, who do you think gets to suffer from it? If you're about to say it's me, think again. One that could suffer though, would be that old man owning this building, the poor man by the door, or even your favourite soccer player. Nonetheless, I'm in a hurry. So if you'd be so kind and let me go without having to use force, I'd gladly be back some other time, maybe share a cup of tea, have a nice chat and explain as far as I can without having the whole godly punish upon me. Now how those that sound, missy?"

Sin edged the weapon away from his skin but still kept her guard up. Padding over to the door, she opened the elevator with a touch. She was exhausted and just wanted it to be over with.
"To any other person, those threats may have sounded quite terrible," she murmured, turning towards the red dragon. "But I've seen worse and done worse to far nicer people than anyone in this building. The doorman in this building means nothing to me, nor does the man by the door, nor does the best soccer player in the world. In the world I live in, you learn to keep attachments to a minimum. Now get out. I'm tired and I have things to do in a few hours."
Turning once more, she opened the door to her floor then closed it behind her. It appeared Vida was still hiding in the broom closet, so wearily, the tigress headed up the stairs to collapse onto her bed.

Apollyon slithered out the door and into the elevator, going down. It may not have been a successfull night, but it wasn't a complete failure either. Now I know very damn well they're up to something in there, and that something aint good. And she's a violent babe, hehe... He took out a notebook and scribbled down his discoverings, not that they were many.
Well down on the base floor, his satisfied grin soonly changed. As the elevator doors opened, he stepped up to the doorman. "MUSIC!" He shhout out at him. "You'll be expecting a tape within the day, and you better use it..." He could hear the poor man shivering behind him as he left, which of course got that smirk up on his face in no time.
Well at home, he threw himself at his bed, put some trash metal on and rolled the volume up to the highest. But his rest didn't last for long, for soonly an assistant came creeping in. "Sire, you're late." First Apollyon ingored him, hoping he'd give up and walk away. But as he thought, it didn't work. "Oh just leave me alone, will ya!?" But no. His duties called, and the assistant wouldn't move a bit. Just the serious look on the man's face made him want to grab a big bottle o' whisky and drink the day away. "FINE! I'll go!"

The meeting was longer and far more boring than usual. Basicly, some guy in the military had been playing dirty, yet it was hard to determine just how dirty. In the end, Apollyon decided he could be free if he worked in a soup kitchen for the rest of his life, which he highly doubt would happen. But now, he could finally go to bed. Or so he thought.
The moment his head touched the pillow, another assistant disturbed his rest. "Sire. You haven't forgotten the meeting, have you?" Apollyon sat up and gave him an angered glance. "I just came back from it, thank you!" "No, sire, not that meeting. The 12 o' clock one." He jumped out of bed and stared at the poor guy. "TWELVE!? Why have I not be informed of this!?" The assistant backed up a step, looking down at the floor. "S-s-sire... When was the last time you checked your desk...?" "WHAT DESK!?" "Exactly my point..."
About half an hour later, Apollyon reached the downtown café where he was supposed to meet the leader of a gang of high quality con artists. The gang had appearently existed for years without his minions and assistants considering them to be worthy of a contract. Of course, this angered him. In fact, it angered him just enough to send his assistant to scold the mobleaded.
Apollyon knew he was late, but didn't care at all. He had dealt with enough of these meetings to know that the more irretated the leaders were, the sooner they'd burst out of the place without making up a deal, letting him go back home and sleep. He entered the shabby place, looking for the right table.

Sin walked into the cafe, re-energized after a few hours of sleep, but curious. Only a few hours ago she had received a call from some unknown person. The caller had had a raspy voice, unidentifiable, and the call couldn't be tracked. It had asked her to meet at this specific cafe at twelve and to come alone. This of course had made her wary but she agreed. Before leaving the crew's flat she had checked to make sure her ring was still running smoothly, sacrificing a few small marble statues in doing so, and checked on Vida, who had seemingly run off during the night to go hide elsewhere.
Looking around, she saw a small fox gesturing to her urgently. Padding over, she joined him at his rather large table.
"I'm so, so, sorry about the urgent call. You see, our boss is a bit disorganized and I-"
"Do cut to the chase, sir. I'm rather busy at the moment," the tigress said, cutting off the nervous fox.
"R-right," the fox stuttered. "W-w-well you see, our boss has a business proposition for you. I believe you two have met before, just early this morning. But he didn't say anything to you then, we're unsure why..."
As the fox continued to ramble on, Sin's thoughts wandered. I met him earlier this morning? But the only person I met this morning was-
At that moment, the object of their conversation burst into the cafe, swinging his head back and forth, appearing to be searching for the table.
"You," she said scathingly.
"Wh-why yes, me," the poor fox said, nearly on the verge of having a nervous break down. But noticing the young tigress was not addressing him anymore, he followed her line of sight and discovered Apollyon and finally arrived at the cafe. "W-wh-why hello sire..." his voice now reaching an unnatural pitch.

"YOU!" Apollyon almost slided towards the table where they sat. He noticed the tigress from earlier, but it wasn't her he was talking to, not yet. "I remember giving you a mission, a very so important one aswell... Yet, I find your ugly face up here... ARE YOU HAVING A COFFEE BRAKE?" The poor assistant got up so quickly and rough that he threw the chair down on the floor with a loud bang. "I... I'm sorry, sire, I-I mean, I... No sire! I'm just helping you, that's all, I-I-I..." "QIUET, FOOL! By scheduling this meeting, without my knowledge, you gave me no choice but to send a weasel like you off one of our biggest clients! He will not be pleased by this, and YOU will be the one taking the impact, THAT is your PUNISHMENT for your FOOLERY, yet you keep disobeying my orders! OFF WITH YOU ALLREADY!" The fox ran off as quickly as his paws could carry him.
Taking a deep breath and cracking his neck, Apollyon put the chair back up and had a seat. So I was right, the tigress is up to something big... He looked at her for some time, not moving his frowny face an inch, not saying a word. "IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR AN IRISH COFFEE?" The owner of the café came running with one withing less than a minute. After having a sip, Apollyon once again looked at the tigress. "I know more about you than you'll ever know about me. I am here today to tell you the Devine Truth. From cradle to grave, I can change your life and afterlife, just snapping my fingers. I have a proposal for you, and wish you follow my words, shall I wash away your sins. Are you willing to listen, and will you listen clearly?"

The young tigress in question leaned back calmly, looking at the bellowing dragon that sat across from her.
"So, there is such a thing as divinity, heaven, and hell," she commented dryly. "I'm sure the church will love to hear that. After all, they've made such a large profit off of the idea." Her tail whipped to the other side as she continued. "However, if I had been worried about such a tiny thing as sins I would have quit my job and joined a nunnery. But seeing as how we are currently not in a convent you can assume that I don't. A proposal is still a proposal, though, and I wouldn't want you to have frightened away the poor women's customers for no reason. So for now, yes, I will listen."

"Hahahaha!" His smile was back up. He looked deeply into her blue eyes, trying to figure her out a bit further. "The "poor" lady owes me bigtime, so don't you worry about her, dear." He drank a bit, flicked his hair and continued. "There is very damn well such a thing as heaven and hell, and I've seen every bit and piece of them both. So trust my word, a sweetie like you deserve better than what your future will bring. And that can be easily arranged." Apollyon took up his notebook, flickering throuch the pages untill he found the right one. He read a few lines, then put it back. "I see... Sin, you and your gang has quite the talent, I admit."
He looked at her from tip to toe and back again. She reminded him somewhat of an old coworker. "Miss Sin, I know your business throughly, and I would like for it to change. However, you, nor your little crew, would notice the difference. You see, there are crimes which ought to be comitted, for the good of the world. If you are ready to, not always, but when commanded, do the tasks gived to you, all other will be forgotten." Apollyon took up a note from his brother. His smile turned into a frown again. He read it, quite unwillingly, and then he once again turned to the tigress. "There is another leader of your team, I know that. She isn't far off from here as we speak, and shall you decide to give my offer a serious thought, it will be arranged for her to... Come across an obstacle, and set sail in our direction." He crumpled the piece of paper and gave her another smile. "So, how be it?"

Sin raised her head defiantly, glaring at the red dragon.
"If you know all about me and the crew I helped build, then you would also know why it was created. We did not escape our gilded cages only to walk right into another. We do what we do, when we please, when it pleases us to do so. Yes, there are consequences, but those are our consequences to accept. We will take no orders from anyone, even if he were the creator himself nor do we bend for mere bribery." The tigress stood, her posture stiff and cold. "Now, if you are going to insist on wasting my time every moment we seem to meet then I really must be going. It seems I have a friend to assist."
Sin started towards the door, seething inside but still maintaining her composure. She would call a few contacts as soon as she returned home, people who could assist Katla, wherever she had gone. The insolent b*****d, she thought. Worse than my parents.

Apollyon spoke without even turning her way. "We haven't contacted you for no reason, miss. It may seem as if I commit only pure evil, bur I am... Not what I look like. The truth is, your friend is in great trouble, but not of the kind you can help her out of by walking away." He drank some of his coffee, slowly trying to uncrumple the note from his brother. He looked for the one line and quoted it. "Serious action is both needed and urgent. She who goes by the name of 'Katla' has been on my mind for some time now, yet her situation fails to change. Her deeds has taken her to a state of unqualification, one of which proportions I haven't seen for years on end. I leave it to you to speak to the only person we've found with connections to her. Come up with something, I trust in you to do the right in this." Apollyon gently folded the paper and put it away, taking a few more sips of the drink before he spoke.
"You see, your friend is risking Limbo. It is something even I would fail to describe, but it is in fact a farther worse destiny than hell. He or she who fits no profiles is condemned to end their days in Limbo, with no turning back. Now you wonder, why didn't we go to her? The world goes by unjust rules, which is why I... Nevermind. The point is, we can't. A person labeled as a traveler towards limbo cannot be told of the Divine Truth, nor can they sign any contracts. One could say they don't exist. They need to cross to either side before we can contact them, and you are the only one the damn b*****d found who could affect her."
He finnished his drink and walked for the door. "Of course, the choice is all up to you. Either you let us bring her to you, or she ends up in Limbo. But you better decide soon. If she reaches her destination, it could very well be her last journey." Apollyon walked out the door and kept going, hoping he could finally get some sleep.
