Castille tilted her head to the side, much like a confused puppy. His way of speaking was...interesting. He sounded so proper! She wondered if this was a usual thing or if he talked this way to sound important.

"Alright, let's head up to the front counter then!" She said cheerily, leading the way to the front of the store where an employee stood by the register. She gave the girl her sketchbook, pulling out her wallet and removing a few bills to place into the woman's outstretched hand. Castille opted for a bag; she didn't want to hold the thing under her arm the whole time, and then took a few steps away with her receipt to wait for Alexandre to check out. While she waited, she pondered the nearby buildings, wondering which cafe, restaurant or what have you to go to.

It was normal, a learned thing, but normal as of years ago. He picked up how to speak from others, people his mother dealt with, and people at parties and such. He knew it was rather proper, but it didn't bother him in the least. He found he preferred it to how most teenagers spoke.

Handing over the paints, taking each one out from his basket separately. He checked over each, making sure he hadn't accidentally grabbed two of the same color and not noticed. Good on that he added the brushed, being careful with them. He went with one of those bags of fabric you could keep and such, they were a bit green with that.

"If you didn't drive here I can drive us both. The cafe's a few blocks away, but the drinks are very good." And well priced, not that such a thing mattered to him. Handing over the debit card he signed off on the receipt and once done turned to Castille. "You should like the place, it's rather random in decor but a bit old fashioned as well." The place was a thrown together mass of antique couches and arm chairs, tables of the side table and coffee table variety. Lights as well were old fashioned and the place had a rather interesting feel to it, the old wooden floor boards didn't help any. But it had an artistic feel to it, something which attracted a certain crowd.

"That place sounds wonderful!" She exclaimed while he paid. She wondered what he meant about when he said she should like the place. Did he think she was random?

Then her brain exploded.

She was going to get a drink with someone she just met. Granted, they were going to be coffee or something like that, but still with basically a stranger that she thought was interesting.

Did this turn into a date!?

When he was finished paying, she made her way toward the door, thanking the lady behind the counter with a smile that betrayed a hint of nerves. What did she get herself into now? She didn't even plan on something like this happening today! She didn't even dress up! Because that's what you were supposed to do on dates right..? Well, this probably wasn't one anyway..but what if it was?

Her brain was continuing to fire a mile a minute when they walked out onto the street.

"I didn't drive here." She said, looking for a car that might be his. He was implying that he drove right? "I'm actually not old enough yet." She pointed at her nose, saying "Only 15 here!" while she grinned foolishly. Castille curiously looked around again. There weren't many cars parked on the street due to the lack of parking this far into the town's center. And none of the cars looked like something someone like Alexandre would drive. "So which one's your car?" She asked, holding her bag with both hands in front of her.

The place was random yes, but also it just had a certain vibe about it. It was one place that wasn't high end that he frequented. He couldn't help it, he liked the off beat feel of the place. It certainly wasn't the normal sort of place you'd expect to see him, dressed in Burberry, Guuci, and other name brands.

Nope, not a date. Unfortunate perhaps, for her at least. Leading the way down the road, a few yards, he ducked into an alley which lead to the shops back parking lot. "Oh, I just got a permit in February." So not just got, but still it hadn't even been a year. So it counted, in his mind, as being a just gotten thing.

"Oh! I'm 16." He said, not that she couldn't have figured that out, due to his previous words. He had a nice black suv, though he referred to it as a car. Pointing out the black Lexus he nodded his head. "That's mine." A car was hard for him to see over the wheel in, due to his height. And he felt far too low to the ground for comfort.

"You can put your things on the back seats, it's what I do." Unless he was moving a painted on canvas, those went into the trunk wrapped in one of three blankets he had in the trunk at all times.

Keys were produced, from a pocket, and the alarm was disarmed, with a flickering of the lights and a beeping from the car.

"I can get mine in March." She said, following him to his car parked off the road. His car turned out to be a lot bigger than she imagined, seeing as he wasn't much taller than her to begin with. "Oh, it's it new?" She asked, looking at the shiny black paint. "Or do you just take really good care of it?"

She hopped up into the passenger seat, twisting to put her things in the back. "So where is this place?" She asked, putting on her seatbelt. She was still a bit nervous about getting into a car with someone she didn't know. But the kid was only 16 right? He couldn't be a creeper.

"I think when I get a car, it's going to be red." She said, looking around the interior of the car. "And small, since I'm a little short." She smiled in amusement.

"I take good care of it, I don't want it dirty or damaged." He liked having something taller, it gave him some height that was needed. Not to mention he didn't like feeling right on the ground, it was a unsettling feeling.

Climbing in he buckled up and started the car, opening his window so he could get some air. There was a different between fresh air and the a.c. If it was tolerable out he'd take the fresh air, if not than the a.c was put to good use. Today was an open window sort of day. "Four blocks, it's on a corner." He answered, while twisting, his belt on, to put his own things onto the back seat.

"Red is nice but too loud for me. Black is sleek, plus red cars I believe insurance is higher on. I did look at cars but I'm too low in the seat and too low to the ground. I dislike cars." He didn't like being a passenger in a car either. It wasn't something he often had to worry over though, his mother had a car which was really a suv that looked like some mix between an suv and a minivan. It worked well. His father owned an actual car but he never got in it. If they had to go somewhere he'd follow, or vice verse. He would not get in it.

Key in the ignition he started the car and easily pulled out of the spot, turning to look out the back window as he backed out of the parking space. Cutting the wheel and soon enough he was out and leaving the parking lot.

"Tell me, have you ever been to an art gallery when they have a photography show going on?"

"That makes sense. Something as expensive as a car should last a long time."

It was a smooth ride. "Red is my absolute favorite color, so I wouldn't even mind paying a little more on insurance. Plus I think red just looks so fun! Maybe because it's a warm color, and warm colors are supposed to invigorate you." She said thoughtfully, rolling down her own window as well.

She turned to look at him when he asked about the gallery. "You know, I never have been to an art show. I mean, other than the couple of art shows my school has had. But those don't really count do they?"

Her eyes turned wistful. "You know, I would love to be a part of an art gallery, have my stuff displayed. It would be nice to pursue a career in photography, but it's such a hard thing to really get into professionally."

"Perhaps, that would be a good reason to go with the color. If your looking to invoke that feeling. I find black a subdue and calming color." Something sleek and somehow it calmed one. But he also liked how city lights reflected off a black car, it was very nice.

"They count, but not as a proper art show viewing." He said, giving the other a bit of a smile. "We'll have to correct the injustice. An artist who has never been to an art show." He stated, he'd find a way to get her to a gallery. She had to see some of the art.

"It is, but you could go to a showing, talk to people, mingle. And see if anyone wants to see your work, perhaps find someone who wants to help nurture your ability." It wasn't a bad idea, she might be able to find someone to take her under there wing and get her showings in time.,

But why would someone want to be subdued? Castille decided against asking that question, at least for now. Alexandre seemed very calm and collected, something she wan't used to in a kid her age.

"I usually have school on the weekdays, and volleyball practice right after class." She explained, ticking off her fingers one by one. "Then in the summer I am a summer camp counselor. And I usually have at least volleyball camp that I go to. Then there's always babysitting my brother." She grimaced. "So... yeah, I don't usually have time to roam about the city much." When she wasn't a senshi. She smiled cheerfully. "But who knows? Maybe I'll have an off weekend and I can go to a real gallery."

"It would be fun to talk to other people about something I love." She said, her hands clasped together in her lap. "But it's always fn to find someone to share your interest with!"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 25, 2011 11:25 am

"You sound like a busy person." Babysitting didn't sound all that hard, but he was an only child so couldn't judge that properly. He also lacked in friends who did babysitting, so again no way to judge. The rest though, she was athletic, and such.

"I'm not one for sports. But during the school year I do attend high school, I'm in art club." He tended to go about doing his own thing there. "In the summer I don't do anything out of the norm for me. I paint, I go to gallery's, shopping." He didn't mention his gardening. It wasn't something me told many people. Very few knew about it in fact, and he wasn't inclined to change that any time soon.

"If you find time I'll see to it that you get to some gallery, hopefully one showing photographs." Letting her meet others into her area of art would be good. "I agree, it is fun to find others to speak with whom you share common interests." Making a turn onto the block the coffee shop was on.

She treated him to a sweet smile, saying "I like being busy. It keeps me from being bored!"

"Sports are a lot of fun!" She said, practically bouncing in her seat "There's just something about being a part of a group that just feels right. Maybe because people are naturally comfortable in groups." She could see the coffee shop now, and started to shift in her seat.

"That would be a lot of fun! You can show me around the gallery! You'll have to call me when there is a photography show. I'll trade babysitting days with my sister or something if I have to so I can go." Her smile grew wider as she looked over at Alexandre
PostPosted: Fri Jul 29, 2011 5:48 pm

"Perhaps, though there are people who do dislike groups. The vast majority do like group situations." He was one who didn't like most group situations, especially the parties his mother attended that his father and himself had to attend. He disliked those immensly, unless Lily was there to keep him company. The time she was alone he spent listening to others speak and sipping ice water. Very rarely did he enjoy those events, if it was an art gallery and the art was good he'd enjoy himself. But for the most part he was one of the youngest in the room, if not the youngest. His mother liked to bring her family, give him some culture, and of course it was good to have her husband with her; he suspected his father enjoyed the events.

"Of course, I'll talk to the few gallery owners, and workers, I know and find out about any upcoming ones." It was a good thing, in this way and some others, that he did go to so many events. He got to know the owners and workers of the gallery's.

"I can't say I'm much for sports myself, but perhaps I'll attend a game to watch. Maybe I'll find some interest in a sport. You'll have to tell me when and where, for the next game." It seemed they were in luck, a parking spot two stores away from the coffee shop. Pulling into the spot, making sure he had enough room to pull out later, he put the car into park and cut the ignition. "Were here."

Castille decided that she was very lucky to meet Alexandre. Not only was he a nice kid, he was offering to help get her started in real photography stuff! The thought of going to a gallery made her giddy, as did the thought of ever being in one.

She snapped back to reality when he said she should tell him about the volleyball games. "Of course!" She said, clapping her hands. They were pulling into a parking lot near the shop, and she waited until he had parked before unbuckling her seatbelt.

"I'll have to get your number. There aren't any games during the summer, unless your in a rec league. But once school starts there are going to be games every week for the first couple months. Maybe longer depending on how well we do in the season."

She opened the door carefully, not wanting to hit the car next to them with the door.

Why not help a fellow artist, especially one who wanted to pursue it? He had no reason at all to not help. He appreciated art, and those who created it.

"Of course, once were seated." Speaking about giving her his phone number. "It's easier to do over a table then on a side walk." In case someone walked into one of them and a phone got dropped and broke.

"I didn't ask earlier, but to which school do you attend. I'm attending Meadowview." Hearing her speak he nodded his head, silently hoping they did well. He didn't know to which school team she played, not that it mattered. He didn't do the whole school pride thing, never did and never would. He didn't see why you had pride in your school, schools changed and then you graduated and such.

Approaching the doors, which were lined in blue lights, Alexandre opened the door and held it for the other to pass.

She looked back and said "Oh! I'm going to Meadowview too! I'll be a sophomore." The thought of the upcoming school year with a mixture of dread and excitement. New school year meant new sports teams, and seeing her friends again. But it brought Math with it.

She passed through the door and smiled at Alexandre. She was glad she decided to go to the store today. She ended up making a new friend!
