A love of nature

Arafel sighed as the gentle breeze swept across her face. The only noises around as she walked through the park consisted of bird's melodies, the rustling of the new leaves as spring warned of it's coming. Accompanied by the faintest of squeaks from the wheels of her double-stroller.

The woman perked as another sound joined in, the light noises of a toddler awakening from his nap. A wide grin pulled itself across her face as she stooped over the little stroller-canopy, careful not to tip the whole stroller on accident.
As usual it was the darker twin, Futoeki. Iteru still showed signs of his illness.. whatever that was. And as usual was sound asleep.

Futoeki fell back as he head a noise above him, tilting his head as far as it would go. His ears perked curiously before he reconized the figure, "Aa!" he exclaimed gleefully, smacking his hands together before reaching up at the figure known as mom.

Arafel smiled, reaching a hand down, that was immediatly latched onto by both smaller hands, and wiggling her fingers under the boys chin. Her responce was a joyous giggle, and the kicking of feet.
She moved her hand, the squirming replaced with another curious look.... as though to say 'why'd you r hand go away?'

They were both thrown from their thoughts as a leaf on a mission flew straight into the boy's lap.
Futoeki blinked at it. "Bvaa?" Giving it a few pokes he carefully grasped the little leaf, grinning with a sudden accomplishment, hoisting it high into the air to show his mother above him. "aa?"

"Hm?" she carefully took the vibraintly colored leaf from the boy. Looking form it back to his expression she smiled " It's a leaf."
"Veee?" He tried to repeat
"fff." she finished for him. She pulled back, ready to simply discard the object before abruptly interupted by a loud whine. "UUuuuu!" She blinked, a bit startled by the actions. "Eh?" she peered back at the boy, whoum was making desperate grabby hands. "Well..." she looked to the leaf, gave ashrug and passed it to the boy. "I guess we can keep it. No harm in that, right?"

The boy bounced as the leaf was returned to him. Settling back in his part of the stroller contently.

Arafel gave a sigh, happy that had calmed him down... Worst thing was a baby whining and you couldn't figure out why.

She started her walk again, ready to go around hte curve and head back home. Taking her time in doing so ofcourse... She still loved the outdoors. And the twins seemed to feel the same.
Futoeki even had a love for a leaf, how much more in love with outdoors could you get?

Not another one...

Arafel
Arafel gave a yawn wide as she stepped into Freize's house, sure she lived here but... That was still "temporary." Though she didn't feel like moving back out anytime soon. Not like she could just leave her children here, or take them from their father...

"We're home!" she hollared as she dropped her coat and pushed the stroller on in, moving to the living room to unstrap the two near-toddlers and place them on the floor. Proceeding to fold up the stroller and start the 5 minute unpacking of baby stuffs.

Futoeki watched his mother do whatever she was doing.. He had no idea, but it was fun to watch her do all sorts of awkward movements to get the stroller locks to release.
He paused when a figure he hadn't seen in far too long stepped in. "Veee!" he held up the leaf proudly, waving it a bit.

Now, the leaf had looked a tad familiar to the woman... Like something she'd seen awhile ago. But she saw alot of leaves, and leaves look mostly the same...The fact the leaf may have been an eden, like her significant other's had been, never even poped into her head.

Freize
Freize froze right where he was, hand in the midst of running through his hair, eyes locked on the leaf. Why had they brought home a leaf?... Of course, he knew a possible reason. And now he was given some not-so-distant memories of a loud humming noise that had kept him up all night on multiple accounts.

Iteru stretched out and yawned languidly, wriggling about where he sat before looking towards the leaf his brother wielded curiously. What a funny green thingy... Why'd his twin like it so much..? Well, if Futoeki liked it, then it must be good.

Dinh stepped out, standing beside Freize solemnly, eyes placidly glancing over what the child held. He looked up at his caretaker, tail swishing halfheartedly behind him, and then moved forward to sniff at the leaf. He was careful not to get too close to the baby- he wasn't fond of children. He then looked at Freize, -... Same.-

Freize let out a grunting noise, as if he'd just been punched in the gut. Dinh had been one of the first of the family to notice that Eva as a leaf had been special.

And now he was saying they were the same. "Arafel... Where...? Where did you get that?"

Arafel
"Hm?" the woman looked back, jumping as the stroller suddenly burst back into a stroler.
She frowned at it a moment, her tail slightly bristled at the sudden shock. She let it go rather quickly, looking back to them... Following his eyes to their son with the leaf "Oh. That? It just kinda fell into the stroller on our walk... Futoeki didn't wanan let it go so i brought it home..."

She moved over to the children, inspecting the leaf again. It wasn't dangerous was it? Like poison oak or.. something...?

No.. It didn't look like anything harmful she'd seen... And she knew more than enough about plants and other things. What was edible and what not, what not to touch. What helps what. Things like that.

So... what was wrong? She paused, looking up at freize curiously.

Futokei turned to his brother, noticing he was finally awake "Vee!" he waved the object, before going off ona repeating spree. "Veeveeveeveeveevbebbb" the word gurgled out as he forgot to swallow.
It was a great lil green thing! Why? Who knew. But it had flew to him... So it was special! and GREEN.

Freize
"Vee?" The other child echoed, looking in awe upon the green object that was waved in his face... Wait... What was a 'vee'? Why was it green? Was it tasty to eat? Was that why his brother liked it so much...? He yawned softly, rubbing at his eyes as his brain fog took over. What were they talking about again, "Mmraaa?"

Freize simply stared at the leaf, "... Oh...." Fell onto the stroller... He looked now to Dinh once again. "The same?" The dog-like creature nodded before glancing back to the leaf. He'd been very taken to Eva's leaf as well- this one was a bit different though. Maybe because of the creature that was hidden inside. His ears flattened back and he returned to Freize's side.

"... Oh boy." The male finally said, rubbing at one of his temples lightly.

Arafel
The poor "new" mother of sorts took to a worried, sure she'd had alot of kids but these were her first newborn fresh outa the oven babies. "Why? Is somethign wrong?" She took the leaf from the baby as soon as the thought it could be harmful was present.
"It looks fine to me is it poisonous? Should i wash his hands? Aa what if he put it in his mouth?!"
Oh nod. She was a bad mother, atleast for hte moment as she inspected both sides of the leaf.

Futoeki was about to become baby proffessor and explain just why this leaf was so special.
Ofcourse then it was taken from him. "Veee!!" he cried, reaching after the wonderful green object as it drifted from his reach. His eyes brimmed with tears, as his face scrunched threatning to burst out crying. Sure if it'd been taken from him slowly he wouldn't have responded as bad.. but.. it was just wooshed away. And he wasn't done yet!

Freize
Freize was silent for awhile, allowing his significant other to let out all of her worries before his steady blue eyes focused on her own. He looked to the leaf, and then back to her face slowly... "We'll need to prepare a new room." And then he gave out a defeated sigh. "And get a new bed... And some more furniture..." He turned now, beginning to just walk away. "Another mouth to feed, too.. I hope this one gets along with Eva... Maybe they can share a room." Siiigh.

Dinh looked at Arafel solemnly. -Eden- Suddenly would ring out in her head, and then the creature turned and trotted along behind his caretaker.

Iteru watched his brother's fit, jerking back slightly at the initial loud noise. "Aah?" He was simply confused for a moment, and then he did what any baby would do. He went on the verge of crying as well, although he wasn't quite sure as to what was going on.

Arafel
Arafel blinked, staring utterly confused as her mate walked off. Another room? feeding?... It was just a leaf...
Had her beloved lost it?

With as many wierd things she'd picked up to turn into children one would think it woul dhave clicked faster. But she had a slower mind than most...It was uhm. Cute. yes thats it.

She paised, Eden? Oh boy where'd she hear that... Eva.. Eden... Oh! Eva was an eden! That whole leaf baby thing.
The were-elf puffed her chest out momentarily, pleased with her fine tuned deductive skills before reality smacked her upside the head.

"E-eden?! Holshhh--"She choked on the word, clamping her hand over her mouth before it excaped. A bad habit picked up from Freize no doubt.

Eva.. another.. kid?! and... Oh dear.

She sunk a bit, looking exausted suddenlly.

Futoeki's lip quivered as he reached again, receaving one of his favorite pushies instead. The instant he got it all remouse of losing his 'vee' faded as he gleed happilly, sticking one of the plush's arms in his mouth.

Arafel sighed at the two boys "Hn... What'd you get me into, hm?" She received an innocent curious look, before turning to finish her unpacking and find a place for the leaf.

Well...
Here it goes again.
I was trying my hardest not to take in any more children. I realize that when you get too many you can't meet their needs, right?

I guess fate thought i needed one more.

I didn't quite reconize it at first, it being an eden that is, it was just another oridinary leaf my child happend to take a fancy to. I took it home unsuspecting...
it wasn't until freize's responce that I realized.

So... The leaf is now carefully tucked away, currentlly sharing a room with futoeki (out of his reach, but in his sight) since he's taken a liking to it.
I'm not sure why that is... but babies are often random.

Although, since fate seems to have placed this child in my care I can't help myself from getting excited.

I've showed the little leaf to our little mismatched family. As expected almost everyone was welcoming the child to be, leaf or not. Our exceptions were Eban, whoum's distanced himself from the family all together...
And yuki. Dispite his.. differences he seems to find it unbeleivable... Even Kagi, who's "all aobut the facts" could accept it.

Thoguh Yuki's been distancing himself too. While the other children were wanting to look at hte leaf he simply said "It's impossible." and left.

Either way... The family's happy to have another member coming. As allways Colette's being as helpful as one can be.

Oh! I almost forgot. I decided on a name for... it. It just kind of came to me.
Ilori.
It means "Special treasure"

Though it's a girls name... Hopefully that won't end up a problem.

Tyyne hummed a nice tune as she rode her bicycle. Some blonde strands of hair were always getting into her way, but she was able to push them away quickly again.
She stopped in front of a well-known house. "Freize's one...and Eva's.." The Eden girl mumbled as she put her bike aside and took a small envelope just as an orange flowerpot from it's back.

Gently she placed both objects in front of the door and made sure that the letter was attached well.

A letter from Eden

Dear Arafel,

You have probably waited for a letter. Indeed, I've been informed that you found a leaf of ours. The telephone book told me that you're staying with Freize and so I suggested, that you know of the leaf's origin.
As every Eden your leaf needs to be planted to develop as well. The time until the growth often varies and the leaves have very different attitudes, so be prepared for the necessity for lots of water or dry sand or whatever suits your leaf's soul.

Have a nice day

Potting Project

Arafel poked her head outside, after hearing something along the lines of "s'for you!" hollared at her.
She frowned in a bit of confusion when no one was there... How was it for her if- Her thoughts paused as she started to step outside foot connecting with the porcelain.
It took her a moment of staring at it before she perked up, tail wagging. "Aa! Just like Freize said!" she piped, dropping down to scoup up the pot and letter. Opening it like an eager child on christmas.

Even though everyone had said it was an eden leaf there was no confirmation until the actual pot arrived... And here it was!

Sure, there was the downside of having another mouth to feed.. another room, lots more work. But the maturnal creature that was Arafel could never help but feel giddy over having "another mouth" around the house. Though Freize might object... no one can resist the call of "fate."

"Fuu-chan!" she hollared as she kicked the door shut. Trailing to the twin's room.
The near-toddler peered at her as she entered the room, giving a happy glee and hitting at hs brother to try and wake him up. Yay mom was here. And she had stuff!

Arafel carefully pulled the leaf off of it's mini-bed on the shelf. Her and the kids had gone through the trouble of making the child-in-a-leaf a nice little bed to stay in, couldn't leave it on an uncomfortable shelf after all.

Futoeki watched with his brother as she left the room, then returned without anything. "Gaa oo vee...?" he questioned her, arms reaching up almost immediatly as she neared his crib. The grabby hands motion soon following.
Arafel smiled, picking up the first twin, and then the second as he copied his brother's grabby hands. Resting one on each hip as she returned to the little spot she'd set up in the living room.

In the middle of the room sat an old towel. Ontop of that a colorful bag of dirt, some of it trailing out onto the towel. Then the pot, and the leaf next to that.
Next to the towel set the ever-helpful child, Colette. Smiling at 100 watts as she waited patiently for the rest of the group to start their potting job.

Arafel nodded to her, setting the twins on the ground and then following herself. "Allright... So, Yuki's told you how to plant, right Colette? What do we do first?" sure she knew how to herself, but it'd be more fun to force answeres from the child.

Colette nodded, almost puffing up with pride as she knew the answere. "First... Uhm... You put the dirt in the pot! Halfway...! And and.. then you pat it down." she finished her tiny instructions, smiling brightly.

Arafel nodded, leaning foreward to scoup a handful of dirt from the bag, leaving a messy trail of dirt before it reached it's destination. Ofcourse, this was what the towel was for. She repeated another handful, eyeing the dirt level. "There i think thats about half..." she passed the pot to Futoeki and Iteru, "Here, pat it like this." she demonstrated.
it took the babies a moment to figure it out before they were flailing their arms to smack weakly at the gritty substance. Bits of dirt getting flung about them. Once again, mr.towel was mroe than useful.

"There." Arafel took the pot away from the two patting-crazed-weremutts, getting a tiny whine of protest but no more. "Now what?"

"Uh.." Colette blinked, pausing to give a look of concentration as she tried to remember the instructions she'd gotten from Yuki. "Ah! You put int he seeds... Leaf. Then support it with loose dirt." she nodded to enphisize.

Arafel nodded, setting the leaf inside "Hold this please..." Colette quickly did so as Arafel grabbed a few more handfulls of dirt, situating them around the leaf. "There."

Colette smiled pausing to tickle her two baby 'brothers' "Then... Water!"

Arafel nodded, pouring a bit of water over the dirt, tail giving a wag as she watched it soak in.
Lastly, she peered over the letter once more. "Hm..." The last bit.. About preferences, how would she know what soul it was?

She shrugged it off for the moment, lucky her she had soemoen right in the house who apparently got through this whold process just fine. She'd just ask him.

After the pot was set carefully out of reach of anything that might do it harm, she returned to her little group. "Allright! Time to clean up..." she frowned at the mess.
"Colette, could you watch the twins?" The young girl ofcourse immediatly agreed, and Arafel went to the ohsofun job of cleaning.

It's been a busy day, first we received a letter from the eden project... Not only telling me to to go to the next stage but that this leaf definatly was.. special.

Myself, Colette, Iteru, and Futokei all went to potting Ilori. It was pretty fun, the twins got to throw around some dirt inside the house. I got to clean it up. And Colette's just all too helpful with these things.

Thought she's potted, the letter says something of certian things they like depending on their soul.
But... I don't know it's soul. I'm worried I might end up hurting it or something.

I'll ask Freize, Eva seemed to turn out wonderful... He should know something, right?
Atleast It'll give me somethign to work off of.

The feeding habits of a leaf
Arafel
Arafel carried the potted eden with her as she shuffled down the hall, going at a painfully slow pace. She stared at the little leaf, frowning at it curiously. No... There wasn't anything she could possibly think of to tell what the leaf liked.
Well, other than trial and error.. But.. That could kill some things! Too much water might drown it, or too little would dehydrate it... If it were a normal plant, one might know this. Alas, this leaf had a soul. And that soul had likes and dislikes.

once again the wereelf was creating a painfully slow pace as she stared at Freize's door. After a few moments she finally sighed, gently tapping on the door.
She couldn't help but feel nervious.. He'd done this without any help at all, and here she was unable to think of anything.

Freize
The male was sitting at his desk, foot tapping up and down as he wrote down something or other in one of his many binders. His head turned slightly, although his eyes remained on his paper as he heard the knock. "Eva."

The 'roo yawned widely, hopping off from where he'd been laying at the top of the bookshelf and landing with surprising grace for someone so small. He walked to the door, one hand finding its way into his pocket as he unlocked and opened it, wide blue eyes peering out. "Hullo...? Whozzere?" He hesitated and then smiled merrily. "'Fel!" He chirped happily, ears wriggling before he tugged the door all the way open. "Da, 's 'Fel!"

Freize swivvelled in his chair, looking towards Arafel expectantly, Dinh lifting his head from where he lay at the weremutt's feet. "Yes?"

Arafel
Arafel seemed to slouch at all the sudden attention from the room. "Aa.." she fumbled a bit, peering at the door's frame as though it still contained a door. "Can i come in?"

Freize
"Sure." Freize consented, leaning back in his chair languidly. "C'mon in." Dinh peered warily up at his master before giving a soft snort, deciding that he was fine with her entering. The blue canine-like creature lowered his head and yawned, not worrying himself with the female any longer.

Eva took hold of the woman's sleeve, tugging her ahead gently, ever the cheerful fellow, "Hullo 'Fel! Whatcha doin'? We were jus-..." He eyed the pot curiously, moving his face closer towards the dirt-covered leaf. "Whazzat?" He questioned in a breathless manner, filled with his usual youthful enthusiasm. The brim of his hat drooped down over one of his eyes.

Arafel
Arafel smiled and entered, a tiny wave of releif washing over her. Something about inconveniencing people or interupting.. It had never been good as a child.
"I jus-" she was cut off by the curious inquirings of the boy below her. Almost relaxing immediatly at the child's presence. "Aa it's Ilori..." She lowered the pot to the boys eye level so he could investigate. Watching him so he wouldn't accidentally harm the fragile leaf. Ofcourse, that probably would have happened with Futoeki before Eva did it.

Her tail gave a tiny sway as she tried to phrase her question just right. However, that attempt failed. So, plan B, blurt everything all out at once. "The letter said they needed stuff depending on their soul, like hot or cold or water or not and... Well. I don't... know what it is... What if I hurt it by giving it the wrong thing?" She frowned a bit, looking over the leaf.

Sure she could feel a tiny something from it. After she potted it the feeling that it was more than an ordinary leaf became more and more strong. But she was supposed to be able to feel life... Much more strongly than this. Once again her elven, or even kitsune skills failed her. That was her brother's department. She got he strength, which apparently came of no use here.

Freize
"Ilori...?" The 'roo echoed, curiousity ringing out in his tone. Curious little hands rose, bead bracelets letting out a soft 'shik-shika' noise as they clacked together. He touched a tan finger to the put, trying to gently ease it down so he could get a better look. "Why'dja name a leaf..?" There was definately something about this leaf, though, even Eva could feel it. He was confused at the speak of the leaf's 'soul', having not quite understood his own origins very well.

His weremutt caretaker, however, was completely silent the entire time, one clawed finger scritching behind one of his ears. After awhile he straightened in his chair, looking as if he were preparing to go back into work- his 'business' self was much different from his normal self.. Well, atleast to those who knew him well enough to notice the subtle changes that made it so different.

"Well, it's not always obvious... Eva showed discontent all throughout his potted stage.. It didn't seem like he liked anything I did, as a matter of fact." Woops. Maybe he should have paid better attention.. Ah well, the kid was alright now, right? It wasn't as if he ruined the kangaroo boy.

Arafel
"Well... Because it will be a child someday." She nodded, practicing the wonderful art of holding two conversations. Ofcourse how does one try to explain to a child they came from a leaf?
Although the one with her significant other seemed to be dwindling short rather fast. Not that she hadn't expected it to, normally he left him alone when he worked.

She tilted her head to the side, arms slowly giving way to the boy's tuggings as she focused her attention to the man giving her the answer "Really?" the question wasn't really there, afterall... why would he have said it if it weren't true? Saying really had become a bad habit of showing suprise she picked up from her first two adopted children. She never saw the point, but then she started doing it.

She nodded some, smiling softly "Thankyou." she carefully shuffling over to him, leaning to give him a kiss on the top of his head. "Don't work too hard." Not that he'd listen to her... She stood straight again, heading back to the door. She paused, looking at the child, then back to Freize "Mind if me and Eva go color?"

Freize
"A child?" Eva echoed, but didn't press for an answer. He allowed the adults to have their grown-up talk time, simply examining the leaf with the utmost curiousity.

Freize nodded sagely, and smiled slightly as she kissed his head. "I never work too hard." He insisted, although both knew that wasn't true. It was actually quite the opposite.. But he'd never admit to that. He'd never admit that any task was too much for him- in that way he was somewhat similar to Spiro. He always felt the need to prove his worth by taking up tasks people had once told him he could never do because of his inferiority. He'd prove them wrong... And then he also needed to work for the family. He needed to keep mouths fed; including his own. After all, he was a bottomless pit. He turned back to his work. "Go ahead." He waved a hand and smiled.

The 'roo brightened, ears perking, "Coloring?" He smiled merrily and moved to try and take one of the older one's hands, "Really?" Excitement simply radiated from him, and he tried to tug the woman out the door and towards the supplies. Coloring certainly was fun! Much more fun than sitting on the top of a bookshelf staring at a wall!

Well. I got my answere, probably not at the best time to ask, but I couldn't let Ilori starve... or whatever leaves do.

Freize said you can't really know. And while, I don't want to mess up... I'm very releived that it seems i can make a few mistakes without killing it.
Very, very releived.

I'll start with the basics of plant care. Sunlight, and water.

Chilling experiences

Arafel held back a sigh as she stared uncomfortably to the ceiling. She shifted, wiggling a moment to try and get more warmth from the blankets. Every part of her body screamed for her to just fall alseep... But it wasn't coming.
Something familiar to the household. Their house probably contained 50% of the popuation of insomniacs...

However, this wasn't just her normal can't sleep moment. Something didn't feel right...
She frowned, finally giving in. It never took long for her instincts to tell her what to do. After all, she'd try to build a den when the twins were on their way. She hardly ever fought what her mind told her to do.

Carefully, she shifted from the bed, flinching as her feet made the slightest tud against the floor.
Then the man next to her shifted, giving a tiny noise of annoyance. "Shh. I'll be right back. I'm just checking something... Go back to sleep." she smiled reassuring to the half-asleep weremutt. She hurried to the door as he seemed to accept her excuse.

Free of her light sleeping significant other she was padding down the hall in a bit of a hurry. Poping in every door she could find in the house. Somethign was wrong somewhere in here, and no one was going to be let alone for it.
Instead of something she expected like Yuk, Spiro.. Even Ajani she couldn't find anything.

The woman let out a light shiver, "Its cold..." she whined lightly to herself, stopping at one of the rooms she'd checked first. The twins room. The two most vunerable of their household it was natural to be a rechecked place.

She opened the door slowly, releived there was no loud creak to wake the toddlers. She made her way to their crib, dodging the landmine of toys she'd forgotten to pick up. She did her usual routine of checking them over. Both were well dressed for the cold night, bundhled up together.
No fever...
But, that was everyone. For once in their households life everyone was fine.

Her eyes widened as they hit the pot situated by the window. Aa! the woman hurried to the leaf. Carefully lifting the pot without noise, and hurrying from the room as fast as she could.

The door shut behind her, and soon she was in the living room. Pot in lap as she placed her hands on the leaf's surface. "You must be freezing..." she muttered, and indeed it was. The green item felt like ice on her fingertips.
The instinct faded as the leaf slowly warmed up. The crisis was averted, as the small lifesign one could feel of the leaf seemed to revive. She let out a small sigh, shivering lightly and strongly missing her warm fluffy blankets.

Ilori was first though.

Soon, Arafel was crawling back in bed. An old scarf wrapped around the leaf and set next to the vent to get warmth across it.
Ofcourse, Freize woke up again. She silently cursed his light sleeping habits, settling an arm around the man's torso as she cuddled up next to him. Slowly drifting to a peaceful sleep.

Something strange happend lastnight, I couldn't sleep even though i was exhausted. But this feeling that something was wrong just wouldn't go away. I know to trust my instincts by now.. or I should, but instead I stayed in the bed longer than i should have.

The feeling finally urged me out of bed as it became more urgent, and after checking everything else.. I found Ilori was freezing.

Normally, a plant wouldn't need to worry about one cold night. But.. this isn't a plant by any means. Not to mention the previous hint of life radiating from the leaf seemed to have completely faded.

I used my hands to warm it... And soon the feeling of presense was returning. Then i wrapped it up in a warm blanket and set it next to the vents to get some heat acros sit all night.

I'm assuming this is one of those soul things. I've taken new measures to make sure it stays warm. Waterbottles and whatnot. During the day it's been fine.

I'm really glad I got up... It felt like it was... dieing.

I won't let that happen again though...

I'm sure Eva's leaf had begun to do things by now. Humming or something like that if i remember freize telling me right. Ilori's done nothing... And after that one night, I've become really worried.
It feels like it's.. changing? I don't know. My sense on these sorts has been dulled...I wish my brother was here.

But.. he's not.
So, I guess my only choice is to go straight to the eden project and ask... I can't just wait on something when they might help her. Maybe they'll take her from me... but, that'd be better than not going and letting her die.

She's still... alive. But it feels funy... Like... I don't know...

Mission; save thy chloroplasts

Arafel gave a determined frown at her various items. The twins were in their stroller, couldn't leave them at home alone after all... Which meant packing 50 thousand baby supplies.
She went over the mental checklist, daipers, food, toys, chewy things, directions to the eden project... Yep. That was it.. right?

She gave a firm nod, picking up the scarf-wrapped leaf in a pot from the table beside her. Carefully tucking it in one arm, she used the other to awkwardly push the stroller out the door.
