His words caused her to pause, and now it was her turn to feel sad. She knew she was still smiling, always smiling... but Sabine knew that if Ladon got a real good look into her eyes, he would see her own flash of sorrow.
"I can understand...If... it makes you feel any better." She stood up next, scooping up the little paper bits from the bandaids. The red head found her gaze lifting until she was staring right into the males eyes. "I have been a negaverse officer my whole life." Of course she meant the last few months, but to her that was her life. She did not remember anything about her previous existence. Not since she was born. To her, this short time she had been in the negaverse WAS her whole existence. It was all she knew.
Lowering her gaze she turned around and walked to the other side of the room where a trash can lay. She did not really feel like she needed more words so... she stayed quiet. Only upon her way back did she pause in front of her desk... and if Ladon was watching, he would see her fiddling with it carefully.

"Your whole life? I....haven't seen you around." He wasn't clear about what she meant by that, seeing as this was the first time he really sat down and talked to a corrupted senshi. He never once felt the need to do so, seeing as he still saw them as tied to the enemy. However, it was hard to see Sabine that way after she came into his apartment smiling about stuffed animals and took him here to get patched up, even if the injuries were minor.
He watched her mess with her desk, but didn't pay too much attention. "I'm sorry for being a downer. I'm usually not like this." He usually wasn't a lot of things, but a lot of personal issues were building up and after all that he lost, he had no companions to rely off. To to the extent he felt he was able to burden them with his own complaints and woes. He knew plenty of people from the Negaverse, but he never felt he was close enough to trouble them with all he had. These were all matters he should figure out on his own, and it wasn't like he wanted to reveal how much of a naive, desperate, moron he was. He was a captain after all. He had to keep what little level of respect he had intact.

Her eyes were narrowed as she fiddled with something in one of the lower shelves. If listening in, it sounded like a lot of scraping and trying to move something. While concentrating she did not dare look up at him again. "I know ladon, you are a very sweet guy at heart." it was why she was trying to help him. She had seen him happy, so seeing him sad made her want to help him.
A small popping noise and a 'ah!" from her, she removed the bottom of one of the pull outs carefully. "Yes you have." Now that her job was done, she looked back up at him. "You met me only a few days after i was brought over. I... i dont have any memories of before that." She figured it was common knowledge.... so she reached into the hole in her desk, and pulled out two bottles.
Something Ever had given her, more at her own curiosity than anything else. It was two bottles of liquor. Ever seemed to cheer up when he drank....so..... would Ladon?

Maybe he was too sweet, but at least she said sweet and not insane. He'd been hearing a bit too much of that lately, and he smiled to think that 'sweet' was at least a description he heard once before. Still, sometimes he felt he was too sweet for his current career. "You're sweet too, Sabine. It's sad about your memory, but I'm sure it's nothing you'd want to remember. It was back when you were senshi, right? I can't imagine how badly their company would have been." Considering his time with the BMC, being in their company and on their side seemed like it would be a nightmare. If anything, maybe Sabine was sweet because she didn't remember fighting with monsters.
He breathed deep, leaning against the wall and watched as Sabine messed around with her desk. It seemed to be an awful lot of work for something as easy as opening a drawer and he found all the noises rather strange. Was she cracking a safe? Once all the noises stopped, she turned about holding two long-necked bottles. He didn't need to drink to know what they were. The shape and the fact they didn't come from a fridge caused him to sit up straight. "Why do you have liquor in your room?" For a sweet girl, he didn't think she would be the type to drink and have some readily available!

Sheepishly, she looked nervous. "Well... i was staying with Ever for a while remember? He always had the stuff available, even though i never tried it." Walking over she settled down on the edge of the bed. She laid the bottles, unopened, on their sides. "He always seemed happy when he was drinking, or at least calm. From what i saw at least. I was curious so i asked him to try some, and he bought me these two as a present." She moved the bottles forward, one labeled 'peach schnapps' and the other 'sour pucker'. They clinked together.
"I thought it might cheer you up." If it worked on Ever, why not them? Bouncing off the bed suddenly, she remembered she forgot cups! She went to a little closet and pulled out a few paper cups that she used when she brushed her teeth. "You are after all, part of my family now. So i want to make sure you are happy and safe." They all were. Those people she knew. They were important to her, special. She did not care about her past.... only the here and now.
She settled back on the bed and offered him one of the cups.

Ladon was getting a poorer opinion of Ever by the day, but if he was friends with Sabine and Zac, he had to have SOME good qualities. What these were was still to be seen, and he didn't really approve of any guy giving liquor to a girl, but at least he gave it to her and didn't stay to make her drink it. There had to be some honor in that...he guessed. It certainly made it seem more of a present than a tool to get close to her.
Looking at the bottles, he tried to read their label. Peaches? Apple? They were flavors he knew, but of course, he didn't know any sort of drink names or brands. These were all foreign to him aside from the flavor name. "I guess.....I have only seen happy drunks in the street before." Many of which lived around his apartment, laughing and stumbling like fools. While they looked stupid, they at least looked happy.
Still, this went against everything he had told himself. Drinking was something rather bad, certainly against his standards, but.........
He kept thinking about it. Maybe he was called desperate and naive because he had always been so closed minded and didn't want to try new things. Why did he even bother keeping these standards when no one cared? When it meant no one appreciated them? It was why he had been so desperate beacuse he had had such high standards and wound up dating Billy the first chance. It was why he was alone now.
Maybe he just had to just do what everyone else did. Drinking ....he was 18 now. Certainly he could do it once. Live a little - or at least that's what other people said.
He took the cup from her. "....I never tried it before either." He eyed the bottles. "I mean...we're inside and together. It's not like we're going to get up to to any trouble....right?" He looked around. It wasn't like some cops were going to barge through the door at any moment. They were responsible kids. They could have a drink and try it out at least.
"Maybe we can just..........try it and see if we feel better?" She was the one offering after all, and it would be impolite to decline.

"I have only seen Ever drink this stuff.... and when he asked me into that bar to fetch someone to steal energy.... there were a lot of happy people in there too." Of course Sabine did not understand, but the bar smelt like the stuff Ever would drink.
It made it a good thing right? Maybe Sabine just had way too much faith in the white haired man.
She nodded a few times, staring down at the bottles. "As long as we are not too loud im sure its ok?" Did drinking make you loud? "Until we feel better..."
Lifting one of the bottles.... she handed it to him. A silent 'you go first' or at least a 'please open it' went along with that gesture. Maybe both.

Ladon reached out, taking the bottle by it's long neck and setting the cup aside as he took the cap. He looked at it once, looking at the goofy apple staring back at him. Something as cartoony as that seemed to make it fun enough, and he twisted the bottle. It didn't take any effort to unscrew the cap, and he set the cap aside before taking his cup and pouring himself a generous amount as if it were soda. Then he gestured with the bottle for her to offer her own cup.
Once offered, he poured her an equal amount and then closed the bottle, setting it neatly beside the other one. Holding the cup, he smelled it. It had a peculiar smell, reminding him of something like chemicals. Still, it wasn't too strong, and he looked up to her, a bit unsure. "Um....bottoms up I guess." He decided, as a guy, he should go first.
Tilting the cup, he took a sip and swallowed, wincing a bit to the slight burn it had. "It's a little.......rough. Still, it does taste like......a really weird Jolly Rancher." It burned a bit, and felt hot warm. If this was the taste of alcohol, then it wasn't nice. Still, he wasn't DEAD or anything, and it wasn't all too terribly bad either. Just not as pleasant and easy to swallow as, say, iced tea or soda.
He waited a moment. "I don't feel any different." Maybe he had to drink more.
