"No, none of us should have to do this alone. We won't be able to get anything done if we try to do that." She'd heard rumors of more eternals popping up every day, had felt a few of them, through had thankfully managed to avoid them for the most part. She wasn't sure if she wanted to lock blades with a buttwings-sporting senshi before she was certain of her abilities.

She doubted she would get this long, through. It seemed like only a matter of time...

"Lieutenants can't teleport." Ashley said. "A team of only lieutenants, you, and General Hematite might not be able to react quickly enough, depending on what we'd be facing... Hell, teleporting is kind of difficult even for me." Yeah, she wasn't going to pretend otherwise.

"I'd like to learn, yeah. It's an useful thing to know, and the more of us know how to patch up wounds if something big happen, the more efficient we can be." She wasn't doubting Kaia's abilities, not at all - but she was still only one person. She couldn't be everywhere at once.

"I could ask Schee to spread the word..." Her expression turned pensive, and it was a good thing that no one else was around - technically this could have been an huge slight toward a general. But it was hard to think of Schee as anything more than Schee, especially since she'd known him for so long.

"Actually..." She didn't want to decide anything for her general, but... "Have you talked to him about this ? I think he'd be interested to help out, too..."

"You're right, of course, about teleporting." She frowned and pursed her lips together a little, staring off silently into the distance, as if the darkness held the answers to the rough patches in her plan. "Hematite has an increased ability with it now - more of the, more often, more people - but I don't think he will always be able to cart around a small squadron of lieutenants." Her pensive face grew more serious and she drew up one hand to to brush her dreads back from her eyes.

It definitely had the potential to be their downfall.

"Schee?" She blinked and glanced up quickly at Ashley as she said the other General's name, as if the one word had brought her out of her contemplation. It was easy for her to forget that energetic, full-of-life boy that had watched cartoons with her on the couch was also a general. It seemed to slip her mind. "You're right, I hadn't thought about him. This seems like something he might like to do, especially if he gets to play video games and drink energy drinks in the downtime." It could have been insult, but the smile on her face was fond.

"I'd like it if you could mention this to him, and ask him if perhaps he has time to come talk to me about it the next you see him?" She glanced up at Ashley again with a questioning smile. It was easier for the Captain to find her General than for Alkaid to try tracking him down. "And I'll start training you in first aid when this gets started, how's that? We'll do it while the guys.. watch TV or something equally useless." Her hops for Khal were sky high, really.

She reached into her purse and began to fish around until the jingle of keys filled the air and she was holding them clenched in one hand.

"I could do that." Ashley said with a nod. This wouldn't be too hard. Even with her being a captain, he was still her superior, her general - she usually knew roughly where he was at any given time, and had an easy enough time finding the glowing general.

A blind man could probably be able to spot him in the night, really. She figured that for what Schee did - recruitment, support - it was practical. For her, it simply wouldn't be.

"And that works for me !"

Ashley waited as Kaia looked through her purse for her keys. Really, this was why she rarely carried a purse - you always spent most of the time looking for your stuff...

"Good," she said in a voice that was all relief, glad that Ashley had been so ready to help her with this. It was one little check on her long 'to do' list for this project, but it was those little checks that would eventually add up.

She took them through the maze of apartment buildings until she reached the one she shared with Khal, one that technically belonged to Tanzanite but had once (she suspected) belonged to someone else. The decor didn't seem much like the General-Queen, but then, Kaia supposed the woman didn't have much use for the place and probably hadn't for a long time now.

When they reached her door, she put the keys in the lock and twisted it open quickly, then deposited them into a decorative bowl that sat on a small table by the door. She hung the bag up on a hook and stepped into the dark apartment, immediately aware that Khal wasn't around. She had all of five seconds to be suspicious and feel the bite of jealousy for whoever he was with, then she turned to Ashley with a smile.

"Do you want a cup of tea or something?"

Ashley was used to how maze-like Destiny City's apartment complexes could be. Matthew's old apartment had been perticularly hellish as far as that fact had been concerned.

She stepped inside after Kaia and kicked off her sneakers by pure habit. "Maybe some juice, if you have any ?"

She really wasn't all that much of a tea fan, really.

"You're lucky I'm the one that buys groceries around here," she laughed softly as she spoke, responding to Ashley's request. As she trudged through the livingroom she flipped the switch on the wall and turned on the light, then rounded the corner into the kitchen.

"Otherwise you'd just be stuck with Khal's idea of.. food." Even if her face was hidden by the wall that separated the two rooms, the tone of disapproval was hard to miss.

She returned not too much later with a small juice box, then held it out to her. She had one of her own with the straw already popped through the top. "Don't laugh. He tries to bleed on the carpets enough as it is." No, she did not actually trust Khal's ability to not spill everything he touched.

"It's not exactly the best idea ?" Truth to be told, there was very little out there that Ashley wouldn't eat. It was blend food that got to her, not actual tastes - she loved to cook, and well, loved to eat too.

As much as she told not to laugh, Ashley did just that - pure amusement. "Oh god, I don't think I've had any of those since elementary school !" Might as well have been century ago at this point ! "Thanks." She accepted the box once she was done laughing, and poked the straw through her own.

She just shook her head with a small smirk as Ashley did exactly what she told her not to, but she at least took it in stride and simply shrugged her shoulders at the Captain's comment.

"He doesn't drink them very often anyway, only when I complain that he's had too much soda." She sipped a little from the tiny straw on the tiny juice box, then kicked her shoes off on the linoleum in the kitchen. When she turned back to Ashley there was a questioning look already on her face, before she ever spoke.

"Did you want to hang out here for a while, or do you need to get home? Or maybe do Nega stuff?" She didn't mind it any way, she was intending to stay in and finish the final touches on her GUARD plans.

"Well, I don't work 'till tommorow afternoon..." She shrugged. "And my quota's pretty good. I had planned to go see if I could find a lieutenant or two that might need some training.

"If you need help with something for your team, through, I can do that." Ashley was indeed curious to know more about what she'd gotten herself into, so to speak. "Do you have all the supplies you need, if something happen ?" Ashley fulled expected that Kaia had already thought about all that, but it was good to know for her own mental roadmap, so to say.

As Ashley offered to help, Alkaid's typical, easily pleased smile spread across her face. She crossed to the couch without even answering and picked up a couple of notebooks that were still stretched out on the table.

"Actually, I'm still kind of making all of the lists I need," she waved one at Ashley for emphasis. "I want to make sure there are as few surprises as possible once we have everyone under one roof. I know we need a bigger first aid supply, which we can get from the Negaspace, but there's also the matter of food and entertainment for the soldiers here."

She paused over this and her face took on a pensive look as she tried to consider anything she'd forgotten. Then she let the notebook fall back to the table.

"I don't want them falling asleep from boredom, or leaving to go get food. Do you know anyone with a game system?" She was rambling now and laughed at herself, blushing slightly when she caught it. "Sorry, this is just a lot to organize."

She plopped down on the couch and picked up a pen on the table in front of her. "I could probably use a fresh mind to look over this if you're okay with a long night?"

Oh, still in planning stages, hm ? Well, no matter. As long as she was helping, Ashley had no qualm about what exactly she was doing.

She sipped from her box, a thoughtful look on her face. She didn't follow Kaia on the couch, instead deciding to lean against the wall. She much preferred moving to sitting, anyway, but this was something the blonde might already have noticed.

"Im pretty sure Schee might. If not... Maybe I can convince Matty to lend us one. With my paychecks starting to come in I can probably pick one up relatively quickly." The only thing she really had to pay was her cellphone bill - the rest was just free money.

"We'll figure it out." She said with a smile.
