At the command to settle down, Bazzite did as he was told and shut his mouth, awaiting further instructions. Yes, he needed training! And he needed to gather energy and be a good little ninja! He could totally do that, right? Right? Totally! Bazzi knew he was confident enough to enter a scene, perform his duty and leave without a trace. Ninja was practically his middle name. His face contorted in a gesture of extreme concentration and self-control. It was all he could do to keep from exploding into a thousand tiny pieces and leaving one hell of a mess.
"I need training. Lots and lots of training, but I can do you proud, Boss Lady! I can. I totally can. I'll bring you back so much energy that you'll need to call up Rent A Space just to hold it all!" To emphasize his boast, the lieutenant threw his arms in the air in a wide gesture, as if he could bring back the energy equivalent of however big that was. In Bazzi's mind, it was a metric ********. Now he just had to live up to that expectation and he'd be fine. And maybe rough up a blasted space pirate or two.
He was just about to cook up some elaborate energy-stealing plan when a wrench was thrown into the machinery of his brain. "But... how do I bring the energy to you when I have it? Cuz... I mean, I can't call you. Can I?" He blinked. Did Ninjaverse people get cell phones or beepers or something?

"Always be careful about gathering too much at once! Be smart about how you do it. Make it look believable, or spread your victims out. Always think about the stories they might come up with: they're not going to remember much, and they're going to wake up and try to justify what happened. Try to work with that. If you can."
Sometimes, it was just fun to ******** with people.
"Every Nega is given a crystal to communicate," she summoned hers from its subspace pocket, "it's stored similarly to your weapon. But you must be careful when you use it. You can contact any nega you know, by focusing on them, but you must be powered up, and they must be, as well. I will give you my regular schedule, just in case."
She smiled at him, hoping to remove the wrench that got thrown into the gears of his mental work.
"You should be careful using it, of course. It drains a bit of your energy, and you must use some each time you use it. There are other things it can do, as well, but we'll cover those in training, I think. But! I think you've done well tonight. energy drained your first person. Played lookout. We'll call it a night, and begin your proper training tomorrow."

"Wooooooooooow did I get a crystal too? I don't remember getting a crystal, but there was this BIG purple lady who was like, spiky and stuff and she looked mean. And kinda like a gargoyle. She brought me to the Ninjaverse and then... well, stuff happened and I had to go out and keep and eye on things and that's why I was in the dumpster. I was spying!" He remembered it like it was yesterday. Only it was several weeks ago and he couldn't recall Tanzanite's name. Kimono Lady was Serandite, but Bazzi rather liked calling her Kimono Lady. Her outfit was so pretty and her shoes were really tall too!
Bazzite scrunched his face up and held out his hands to try and summon the crystal but to no avail. All he succeeded in doing was looking constipated. He'd have to try later. "Okay, so I can just make the crystal pop up and tell you that I've got energy to deliver? And that's it?" Man, if that's all there was to this whole League thing, Bazzite had it made! "How much energy do I need to get before I call you?"
Painite had said that her new minion had done enough for the night, and as soon as she did, the young boy started to yawn. Man, this ninja stuff was hard work. But he now had a goal! A most excellent goal! His enthusiasm was waning, but not due to lack of interest. Now what his body craved most was his bed and a nice, warm blanket. And a cheeseburger.

Painite was about to answer his flurry of questions, but she smiled when he yawned. Something about the young nega sparked a feeling in her she hadn't quite experienced before. She had always been caring, and loved her fellows in arms, but with him she wanted to make sure he was safe and that he flourished. He had a spark in him, though at the moment it seemed that spark was flickering for the night.
Someone needed a nap.
Doing her best not to catch his yawn, though she was feeling tired after teleporting anyway, she shook her head and clapped him hard on the shoulder.
"We'll go over everything in our next lesson, don't worry."
Hearing sirens on the air at last, she powered down once she was sure they were hidden from view and there was no one powered up around to catch her. She didn't mind if Bazzite knew her regular identity, half suspecting he would just forget it anyway, and more than that if he ever had any kind of trouble he would always be able to find her.
Or if she wanted him to run for coffee or errands he would know who to bring it back to.
"Come on, let's get you home," she'd head back once she dropped off the energy. She motioned for him to walk with her, keeping him company until he went in a different direction from her.
