Iris couldn't be happier. They were going to the circus! Of course, she knew she was already a part of a grand one herself, but it was like a family outing to her to be able to watch the performances in the stands with her circus family. She hoped for another tight rope walker so that she could watch their tricks and perhaps mimic, but rumours about Noire were about strange animals. Perhaps they should be staying up in the upper parts of the bleachers. Iris wasn't exactly fond of beasts larger than a cat. Before leaving, the issue arose of what to wear. She could choose this or that, or perhaps that with this. Grumbling a bit, she dug through her trunk of 'normal' clothes... until a small light lit in her head. "Oh, Aure~" she called out to the small girl. "Let me dress you up!" Without consent, she began digging through a small mound of clothes for something small enough for the young girl before picking out all sorts of dresses. "Steed, you have to stand outside~! Only girls in this tent," she said as though the puppet was a real boy, which in her mind, was in fact true.
"Here. Put this on." Iris demanded as she quickly was able to fix her own block by dressing up the other girl. Grabbing a light white summer dress and a pair of white sandals that elevated her height by at least four inches, she changed and spun in a small circle, enjoying the small ripple of the hem, completely oblivious to how high it was. The bottom of the dress reached mid-thigh, but any movement lifted the dress's hemline higher and higher. Putting on some make-up, a little mascara, eye-liner, and some lip gloss, she finally turned to see Aure's progress. "You're so cute, Aure!" Iris practically sang out as she giggled and laughed, happy of the single moment.
When the two were done, Iris grabbed her green and white umbrella on their way out, not wanting to leave it behind out of pure habit. With her umbrella acting as her 'purse', hanging on one arm, she grabbed Aure's arm into her own. "Steed? Let's go!" She cried out before half-dragging the helpless child with the energetic young woman.
"Icarus and Melly are already at the circus.. Maybe we can go ask them to buy us some snacks and candy later." Iris said even when she carried a few coins tucked away in the oddest of places, never revealed until she needed to pay for something. She knew how to pay for things and such, but liked it better when Icarus and Meldellevo were acting like older brothers to her.

Ace Ladarius “Mademoiselle Silencieux? This is Ace Ladarius,” The Illusionist calls out from outside of the wall flaps of the backstage. “I’ve placed the fire alarms where you asked me to.” The Illusionist waited for a reply, making no movement to enter the performance tent (he didn’t want to intrude the two ringmasters). Because of the ringmaster of Nelle Stelle is present, he had to replace “spells” with “fire alarms” just so it wouldn’t sound suspicious. And it would be appropriate to use such terms since he had heard the news about one of Nelle Stelle’s tents being caught on fire recently. The spells Ace placed everywhere around and inside Noire is very subtle and hard to detect. Its purpose is to alert the user if there’s any sort of mischief going around with both staff and visitors.
“I’ve revisited them a few times to make sure that they’re properly working, in which they are, I am ready for today’s show.” Ace thought to mention this since he just passed by Veli just a while ago when strolling down here. Veli, the chimera, does make Ace uncomfortable every now and then, but given enough respect and not step across the other’s boundary, there’s a bit of trust between the two since both show loyalty to Ringmaster Sil. The two shares the same job in a way, report all problems to ringmaster Sil if one is unable to handle the problem on their own (other member’s bullying is excluding from the list of course), and with Bee perking its ears and looking down toward one of the most restricted areas, Ace felt that today may require a bit of help from the chimera.
Lifting up his top hat, Bee quickly hop off Ace’s shoulder and hid underneath the hat. Even though the dark figure had made contact with Alexander here not so long ago, and the tarot card reader is very much still nearby the intruder since it seemed like he had followed the person, at this point in time, Alexander doesn’t seem to be close enough to stop the visitor from entering that one room. Not wanting to make Sil worry and Icarus curious, Ace placed a faint glowing green hand over his chest and announces his departure. “I’ll be back in about 15minutes before the show starts.” After he finishes his sentence, his body had already been wrapped in strings of faint green light. Once it faded away, Ace start running toward the cages at very high speed without waiting for Sil’s answer.Aure Rousseau & Steed “Hey! I’m just an animated-“ Before the puppet gets to finish his sentence, Aure watches idly by as Steed gets pushed out the door by Iris. “Aw come on!” Steed’s voice could be heard from through the door’s flap.
Aure leaves Steed outside to do his brooding and examines the lilac dress in her hands. The skirt ends just above her knees and is triple layered. Right above it is a purple ribbon that wraps all the way around, with a bow hanging on front of the right hip and white flower right at the center of the bow. The sleeves are puffy and short, and the ends are embroidered the same way as the collar. Although it is pretty, Aure couldn’t help but puff her cheeks when facing away from Iris. Like any party dress for girls of her age, the fabric’s stiff and itchy on her skin. She wishes that she could wear silk like any other teenager/adult, but since it can’t be helped, she silently put the dress on and a white pair of dress shoes.
“Tha… Thank you.” Aure tries to show her appreciation to Iris’ compliment, something she isn’t all that used to toward other members. “Darn right that she is!” Steed agrees from outside even though he couldn’t see. Looking down at his watch, he becomes anxious at the time and shouts out up toward the sky, “Alright! We’ve only an hour left!” Looking back at the entrance, Iris walks out pulling a surprised Aure who seems to be trying to catch herself from the sudden change in pace. Steed walks to the other side of Aure with a frown, and told Iris with a moody tone “Careful, she’s fragile.”
Aure couldn't help but feel embarrassed by Steed's comment. Their mind are halves of the same whole, sharing the same knowledge and feelings toward other beings, but the two personalities are obviously the opposite. Neither the halves know of each other's differences.

The two passed entirely through the wall and entered into the gloom of the locked stable. Mel blinked, letting his eyes adjust, and found himself gazing upon a straggly bunch of animals. He cocked his head slightly, puzzled that the stable would have to be locked at all - the animals were scruffy, yes, but nothing too insane. He heard a sharp intake of breath from Luciano, and he turned to look at him. What's the matter? They're just animals.
Luciano shook his head and released Meldellevo, walking forward to lean down and examine the beasts more closely. Look closer, Mel. These aren't animals. They're chimera.
Nothing outrageous about that. I'm not surprised that du Noire would combine some animals -
"They're human chimera," Luciano offered.
Meldellevo started, gazing at the creatures with new-found horror. Luciano smiled grimly, slipping his cane between the bars and poking at the closest beast, a mottled and lion-like creature with a disturbingly humanoid face and scaly skin. The chimera hissed and whimpered. Mel covered his mouth, ready to heave. Don't. Don't do that, please. He stepped back against the wall, closing his eyes, as Luciano retracted his cane and straightened, scanning the rest of the stable.
So this was what he had been feeling. This was where the sensation of horror, of terror, of wickedness had come from: the tormented souls of humans trapped in a grotesque body, reduced to a beastly form. He choked back a sob, gagging from the stench of the place and the abject situation.
They're ... are they in pain?
Of course they are. Most of them are poorly done, by the looks of it. Many of these miserable creatures won't survive much longer.
Before Mel had time to react, the stable doors unlocked and burst open, and the drunk fortune teller from before stumbled in, babbling nonsensically. The drunkard made his way to a chair by the small window, setting himself down to tinker with some components. Luciano looked him over and grimaced. Don't worry about him, Mel. He's preoccupied. Come on, let's explore more.
Good God, no. Meldellevo felt himself trembling in horror and fear, and he leaned against the corner, closing his eyes. He could sense the frustration emanating from Luciano, but he shook his head. No, no, no.
Luciano shrugged. Stay there, then. He turned back to the cages and continued examining the contents, poking and prodding occasionally. One of the chimera growled, and the drunk lifted his head, puzzled. Luciano ignored him, continuing to study the caged creatures.
Mel gulped. He gripped the fabric of his capelet tightly, twisting it out of nerves. Please, let's leave. I don't ... I don't like this place. Not one bit.
Shut up, Mel. Meldellevo gazed at where Luciano's invisible form was bent over, scanning the creatures, and felt pulses of a great and insatiable hunger for power from the man. Not for the first time in millennia, he wondered what he had gotten himself into.
Suddenly, Mel heard the sound of footsteps rushing towards them. He squeezed himself into the corner, alert and readying a spell behind his back ...

Alex frowned. There was something, but he could not see it. Perhaps the alcohol was messing with his head or perhaps it was just too dark in the cramped stables. Through a fog of drunkenness, he could sense the intense feelings from not only the invisible fairies. Pain. Anguish. Fear. Greed. Anger. He hid his face in his hands, attempting to hide physically from something metaphysical. "...shut up.... shut up..." He whimpered before finally snapping at the chimeras who began to get louder and louder. "I said SHUT UP!" Alex kicked the nearest cage, rattling the metal and the beast inside. The beasts became quiet, but their emotions were already riled up, sending in a thumping beat inside Alex's head. He groaned as the small nuisance simply grew to a large headache. At times, Alex couldn't stand his abilities. He can't even attend the main performances without being so drunk that all he sees is a blur of bright lights and colours. He enjoyed Noire far more when it was a small circus. When the crowds it drew were tolerable. But now, the people were loud and obnoxious. Everyday, everything, everyone. Noises. Noises. Noises!
Walking back to his work table, he grabbed a small stick he had dipped in some sort of mixture, that now hardened to appear to be a thin cattail. Scraping it hard and quick across the brick walls, it lit and began to shoot off small stars. A handheld sparkler. In the poorly ventilated building, perhaps it was a bit of a suicidal thought to light it, but Alex couldn't care about his health or life. A small stream of smoke and the fire cracker casted odd shadows. The burning smell cleared up his head as he could properly hear his own thoughts now. Coughing, Alex viewed the room now through the pathetic light of the sparkler and the smoke sputtering, held at few feet away from his face at shoulder level. Was it just the smoke and lights playing tricks on his eyes? Or did Alex truly see a light coloured man leaning near the cages where he wasn't viewed moments before? No... It had to be him. Where else was this strong sensation of greed coming from? And the fear.. The fear was a blue blur somewhere farther.
At this point, Alex was simply annoyed. Lowering the sparkler, he grabbed a thin metal pipe that he had been planning on using as a canon earlier in his pyromaniac joy. Holding that near his side, he called out to the light ghost. "Show yourself... I know you're there!"

Iris giggled as Steed affirmed her beliefs of just how adorable and cute little Aure was and even Aure's little mumbling and stumbling of words. "Aw, Aure. You need to be called cute more often. I swear, you'll grow up still as cute as today." At Steed's little warning, she rolled her eyes and lightly scoffed. "Oh, don't be so silly. She's a girl. She's as fragile as me." Which really couldn't be further from the truth as one endures arduous training and periodical falls to a safety net more than fifty feet, which the other is banned from being anywhere near the tightrope without an adult supervisor.
As Iris continued to walk with Steed and Aure, a thought suddenly dawned in her head. "How do we get there? We can't walk there within an hour." Two circuses being without walking distance of each other? Economically, that would be extremely stupid and surely the ringmasters would have avoided that at all costs. She looked down at the other two expecting an answer. It was unintentional that she looked down as she was the tallest of the trio. "Is Aemilio still here? He should be. Let's go ask him!" One adventure leads to another with this girl.

Mel held in his cough, fighting the tickling in his throat. He looked down at his arm and his heart sank - the smoke had partially exposed him, although he wasn't entirely sure how. He glanced at Luciano, and could feel extreme irritation from his end. The blond drunk had taken up a metal pipe by this time, screaming for them to reveal themselves. Meldellevo pressed his ear against the wall, straining for the footsteps he had heard before. Sure enough, they were there. There's someone else coming. I know we shouldn't have come here.
I'll take care of this. You cloak yourself and watch my back.
Yes, sir. Meldellevo resumed his former pose, concentrating on bending the particles around him to refract the light elsewhere. It was a more powerful cloaking than before, but it would be more draining. Soon, though, he had effectively created a visually impenetrable bubble about himself, and Luciano shimmered into view before the drunkard.
The fair-haired demon was glaring at the fortune teller, angry at being interrupted. "Who said you could talk to me like that, boy?"
He lifted his cane off the ground, sparks racing along the obsidian shaft, building up into a flurry of crackling light at the tip. "You're a nuisance, my dear boy. You should have kept with your little sparklers." As he finished the sentence, Luciano lifted his other hand. He studied the air, calculating the moisture, and began concentrating it into a decent-sized ball of water. The ball zoomed to the fortune teller and released itself, dowsing both the blonde man and the things he had been working on. The sparkler went out with a hiss, and Luciano slammed his cane into the ground.
Angry sparks leapt across the floor, rising in a flurry, forming a cage of white-hot electricity around the fortune teller. Mel shielded his eyes from the brightness of the cage of lightning as Luciano once again rose his cane. He pointed it at the drunk's feet, and the land beneath the man began crumbling, rising in a roaring whirl, lifting the blond with it until the fortune teller was trapped in a furious cage of glowing sparks and chunks of earth. Behind them, the chimera shrank back, whining and sobbing in fright.
"It's been a while since I've killed anyone," mused Luciano, a sick smile on his lips and a manic gleam in his eye. "Forgive me if it hurts. I may have lost my touch."
Luciano, no!
Luciano grimaced. Without missing a beat, he growled, "You have one last chance, drunk: give me a reason to spare you."

That shimmer of blue... continued to shimmer away. Though, Alex soon had more to worry about than a disappearing problem when one appeared instead. Another fair-haired man.. but one with magical powers unlike Alex. At the sight of the cane being raised, Alex raised his own 'cane', wondering what was going to happen when he was hit with something... wet. His sparkler fizzled out, and he let it drop to the ground but held onto his pathetic weapon. A metal pipe against magic? Alex could tell the outcome without his powers. But soon a whole new set of spells was casted against him, hardly giving him time to even react. He was soon floating, surrounded by magical phenomenons that couldn't be explained with science.
Out of pure curiosity, Alex licked whatever liquid that was on his lips, that he was splashed with and was disappointed it was only water which he concluded was drawn from the air and condensed. However, the cage surrounding him fascinated him despite the fact that his life was in danger. At the mention of his possible death, Alex laughed. It was at first a small chuckle but grew in a loud and roaring laughter, which soon quieted the beasts as the sounds from the man rang of insanity. "Kill me? Are you sure I'm not dead already?!" He continued to laugh away as though it was the funniest joke to him, which it was. Death was a joke, as was life to the man. After all, to Alex, if you can see the future and the past, then you don't need to believe in the present because it doesn't exist... Or perhaps Alex was just drunk and babbling nonsense once again in his head.
After calming down, Alex began to enjoy his moment of levitation. With the metal pipe still in his hand and using his long sleeves as an insulator, he managed to touch the electric cage with the metal and drive the pipe down into the ground, safely redirecting the charge to the Earth with it's infinite mass, thus grounding it and making it alright for Alex. Though, of course, if he was floating in the air and touched the electric cage, he wouldn't have gotten shocked anyways as the current would have needed to pass through his body to the ground, which he wasn't touching, for him to feel the charge. Though, being magic and all, Alex didn't want to take chances with the amperage either, but if the amperage was low enough, he would have been fine anyways. The chunks of earth could be avoided, as it was a simple task to escape the "whirlpool of doom". Simple, basic mechanical physics. With the force being generally upward and inward, a quick twist of his body shifted his center of mass and body weight, sending Alex to ungracefully tumble away from the gaping hole in the ground and vortex of wind and clods of dirt. Standing up straight, now, Alex reached his table and viewed his work ruined for a good few hours for he had to wait at least that long for his materials to dry out again. Grabbing another sparkler that had managed to stay dry under a small pile of soaken comrades, he lit that in the same fashion as he did with the other. A quick and hard strike against the rough walls.
With a lopsided grin, he held it as though it was a fencing blade, loosely hung yet firmly gripped. Or perhaps it was like a broken bottle in a bar fight. Whichever produced the more elegant vision. "Well, I'm using my one chance now. En garde. A real magician against a phoney like me. I'm surprised you haven't killed me yet, Monsier... I'm afraid I didn't catch your name."
[[Lol.. Did I just use science to ******** up magic? Maybe..]]

Luciano watched, surprised, as the man innovatively escaped his small prison. His lips twitched upward into a small smile. He hadn't expected a drunk to think so quickly on (well, off) his feet. It almost made up for his irritation, getting to fight again. His smile spread into a large grin as the man rushed to his table and picked up another sparkler, and Luciano's grin burst into a loud laugh as he listened to the taunt. I like this one, Mel. I do. He's got me all wrong, I'll admit it, but I like this one a lot.
Don't kill him, urged Meldellevo.
Luciano's laughter died down into an impish smile, turning to face the other blonde man squarely. "Believe me, if it weren't for a pesky conscience, your body and soul would be separated, dear friend." He twirled his cane, observing its structure, calculating. "As for my name, that isn't important. If you prove worthy, you will naturally know."
He stopped twirling and raised the cane. He snapped his fingers, and in a flash of blinding light, both the cane in his hand and the sparkler in the self-proclaimed phoney's transformed into gleaming rapiers, the forces binding together the very molecules shifted and mixed into new combinations.
"Now, I don't know what powers you may or may not have. But we will start as equals. Each with a sword," he said, smile still on his pink lips. "What comes afterwards, I cannot say. But I encourage you to give it your all, fortune teller."

"Soul? Monsieur M for Mysterious Monster," Alex joked, "whenever have I implied I've had a soul? If I do indeed possess one, please alert me, for I've in in the existentialism realm of questioning the unquestionable." Alex rambled on about this and that, still laughing at the face of death and questioning that and this.
In another magical moment, his small firecracker transmuted into a blade. His eyes grew wide as he stared at the sword. Swinging it around, switching it between hands, feeling the weight, feeling the balance. It was a rapier indeed. Thin, flexible, and light. "Gorgeous design. Especially the hilt. You'll have to show me this trick later, one day." Swinging it further recklessly around, he continued talking, "Though, I did prefer that sparkler over this."
Gripping it tightly in his hand, he held out the blade to the other fair-haired man. Knees slightly bend, prepared to lunge or to skid across the floor. His other arm kept close at his hips from unnecessary movements. Alex flicked his head back to push his long hair away from his face. Today would have been nice to get at least a trim. "Well, I was only joking before, but once the words of a dual have been announced, I am bound to my fate." He took a moment to pause. His smile grew wide as he did his best not to laugh at how absurd and dream-like this all was. "In the eternal words of impending doom, Monsier M, en garde." Alex waited for at least the other man's sword to be raised before taking the first attack. He lunged forward, closing the distance between the two, and thrusted quickly forward before pulling back for another attack. A quick succession of short jabs before he pulled back and skidded a few feet away, waiting to see if he'll have to go on the defensive.

"Everyone has a soul," he stated evenly, passing the rapier between his hands and settling for having it in his right. "Without it, you would never have free will." He smiled softly as the other man continued his musings. He talks a lot, doesn't he?
Don't. Kill. Him.
All right, all right. Calm down. I'll knock him out at most.
Luciano watched the jabs carefully, observing the form while parrying. The boy had had some training, for sure, and as he avoided the jabs, it became clear that he wasn't dealing with an amateur: a rusty fencer, perhaps, but not an amateur. He racked his brain, trying to remember he had been up against an actual fencer. In his former host, he had been alongside him to fencing lessons, and having absorbed the body, the muscle memory was still there. But he hadn't used the skill in millennia, and Mel never thought to take it up. Against the average drunk rookie, he would dominate, but against an actual fencer ... he may be a little out of touch.
Well, nothing to be done for that. Improvisation was the only way. He flicked his wrist as the fortune teller returned to his starting stance, and his coat disappeared in a whirl of soft blue tendrils, forming a steel dagger in his left hand.
He flicked his wrists, and sparks shot down the two swords, dancing on the metallic blades. "I seem to be continually underestimating you, fortune teller. Well then. As you're so keen on saying, en garde."
With that, he moved fluidly forward, readying his rapier to strike, but just as he came within striking distance, he smiled, leapt, and disappeared in a puff of blue smoke, reappearing behind the other blonde. The dagger was pressed against the back of the fortune teller, and the true edge of the rapier lightly brushing his throat.
"Like I said," he said smugly. "We'll only start out equal.

While running past the sleeping tents, Ace pulled out a small piece of paper and pressed a finger at its center. After a short faint melody is heard, Bee’s head peeks outside of his hat and Ace handed the piece of paper to Bee. “This is to be given to Veli,” Ace explained. “Alex and I may require its assistance.” Shifting his gaze slightly to the right, Ace pointed at Aemilio who happens to be nearby, “Keep an eye on that person over there. Make sure he doesn't come near the cages, okay?” After rolling up the small piece of note, the little animal nodded its head and flew away, knowing just what to do if it encounters the other man that doesn’t seem to pose a threat.
I’m a bit late, but… Ace lightly came to a stop in front of the building (( is this a concrete building or is it a tent? xD )) as he heard the cage being hit by displeased Alexander. Making sure that he’s not visible through the opened door, Ace leans his back against the wall and tries to make out the noises that were going on from the inside. A familiar voice calls out to the other, and an unknown man’s voice answered. Odd… Ace thought. There is one person in the far back, but he/she isn’t moving or speaking. …A hostage? Or a vessel? Either way, it’s better for Ace to focus on the malicious man that spoke of death and Alexander countering with remarks of his own.
Sparklers? Thanks to his earlier action, Ace leaning against the wall had kept him from falling off balance from the sudden rumble of the ground. “Kill me? Are you sure I’m not dead already?!” Ace smiled at that comment. Typical comment for Alexander, Ace thought. Good way to buy some time. Pushing himself away from the wall so he could enter the battle, the rumble caused by Alexander who escaped from the electric prison causes Ace to fall away from the door and onto his back. Ace quickly rolls to his side, just in time to dodge a falling piece of the building that seems to be crumbling any minute. This isn’t good!
He scrambles to his feet as his left hand starts to glow in faint blue. Ace’s places his left hand to the wall and let the blue strings of light to travel throughout the whole building like vines. I need you to recover… A small knife slips into his right hand. Once I finish with you, I can start focusing on distract- “I’m afraid I didn’t catch your name” was heard, causing Ace to stop with what he was planning to do with the knife. While listening further into the discussion, the stranger didn’t give away any valuable information, and the two are about to fight with, something…
Now's the time for him to step into the fight. The building had already recovered a decent bit of its former self, and it should be sturdy enough for it to last about a few more days (that is unless it didn't gain any more damage). Removing his hand from the wall, Ace fixed his gaze inside the room without revealing himself. Raising his right hand that held the knife, he threw it at the furthest wooden furniture that should be somewhere near the other two.(( My gosh, so much stuff is going on over here. xD )) t h e C a r d M a s t e r

As Luciano continued to deal with the fortune teller, Meldellevo crept from his corner to the now-opened door. In his right hand was the spell he had been readying, a blast of energy that would knock out whoever it was that tried to enter. He pressed against the doorframe, waiting, readying himself ...
Suddenly, a blur whizzed into the room, and without releasing the invisibility spell, Meldellevo threw his spell towards the intrusion. He watched, eyes narrowed, as the small knife was caught with the blast. The spell bent the thing out of shape and pushed it to the side with a loud boom. The knife, now bent and no longer aerodynamic, fell to the ground, clattering against the earth.
Meldellevo leapt backwards, preparing another energy blast for the person who had thrown the knife. He checked to see that his invisibility was still intact and crouched down slightly. There's another one. This one feels stronger.
Don't kill him, came the mocking response. Scoffing, Mel raised his hand and spell, prepared to -
The chimera howled and whined in their cages, and Mel fancied he could even hear the occasional garbled word in their thoughts. Obviously, the noise and the amount of magic in the atmosphere was stressful to them. Meldellevo sent soothing waves telepathically to the chimera, hopefully placating them and reassuring them. The creatures quieted down slightly. Most buried their heads in wings or paws, trying to ignore the terror.

Not aiming for a quick win, Alex tested the waters with various attacks, attempting to see how skilled his opponent was in terms of fencing. In all honesty, he was more used to the sport game than an actual duel, but he still played accordingly to the rules. A hit would only count it the blade landed somewhere vital such as the head or chest.
Pulling back to redetermine his distance, a vital part of any fight, Alex took a step back and watched the other man's coat turn into a small knife. "Mmm... I don't think that's fair," he managed to interject before being attacked. Since it took only Alex a fraction of the time it took for the other man to reach within Alex's range, he raised his hand and blade high, prepared with a counter attack. But again, magic fooled the man, and his enemy disappeared in a cloud of magical poof only to reappear behind him with a blade pressed against his back and the rapier pressed against his neck. He lowered his arm, the handle loosely held in his hand. Slowly turning his head enough, following the blade up to the hilt and finally to its weilder, Alex's eyes smiled. "Ah, just because you don't fence doesn't mean you have to resort to cheating." Chuckling a bit, he continued talking, "Do you want to know how I can tell you don't practice the art?"
Then a bolt of energy came and stopped some sort of flying projectile. Enough of what Alex would call a distraction. Twisting his body so that he was facing the other man now, he used his right elbow to push away the forearm holding the dagger away from his body. He used his right hand which loosely held the blade, to aim the handle of the rapier to point at the soft area between the under of the jawbone and the throat. Alex's left hand grasped near the end of the blade and shoved as hard as he could forward to drive the rounded pommel into the vulnerable spot, his right hand letting the blade run through his hand.
Of course, whether or not Alex hit didn't matter as soon as he drew his arm as far out as he could, pushing further beyond where he was aiming, he withdrew and jumped lightly back, needing to create the distance to attack again. Every weapon had varying attacking and defending distances depending on its length, weight, wielder's height, and even swing. Alex was slightly above average height, giving him less than a centimeter's advantage over his opponent, but he could take any edge. Speaking of edges... Alex turned the blade held at the tip upside down so that the heavy handle was teetering in the air. He let the blade slide down between his grip until it reached the guard, where he took a moment to maneuver around it to finally reach the handle once more. Out of breath and practice, Alex raised his hand once more and aimed the tip towards the other man, his back to whatever is happening with who he knew instantly was Ace from the dagger. The worst injury he's received so far were small slashes like paper cuts mainly on his hands. "I can tell because you don't seem to know that these blades' edges are mainly for stabbing. You can't slice anything more than the air with rapiers." Taking a moment to recovery his breath and to calm his adrenaline pumped nerves, Alex pulled down the scarf with his free hand, revealing more of his neck which he promptly pointed at. "So if you're going to be slicing any necks with these things, I suggest you at least aim for a vein or two." He continued to taunt with a odd giggle escaping his lips, revealing some sort of high he was experiencing with the adrenaline and lingering alcohol, leaving him only further out of breath and open for another attack.
[[I don't fence at all. Lol. I did do a couple years of Taekwondo, Korean kick boxing, and a few months of Kendo, Japanese sword fighting.]] [[Alex's attack is an actual fencing technique... just modified a lot and blended with Korean self-defense. XD]] [[I just wiki some basic points and make up s**t as I go along.]]

--`ladies & gentlemen ✫ boys & girls ~~ THE SHOW // has just begun▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬★▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxx`p r e s e n t i n g... Ringmaster Icarus σƒ Circo ηelle Stelle ❝ if the stars fell out of the sky` --&& my tears fell into the ocean ❞
Within moments, the ringmaster of Noire had responded, and had come to greet him, a charming smile on her face. Icarus returned the smile with an equal amount of graciousness and gave a small bow. "The pleasure is all mine, Madame Silencieux. Thank you for your wonderful invitation," he replied courteously. He took several steps further into the tent, using his walking stick to hide his limp as best as he could.
Silencieux seemed to be genuinely pleased that Stelle had managed to come, but having experience in both fields himself, Icarus knew that smiles and pleasantries could be extremely easily faked. But of course, it would not be wise to show suspicion at once. The more your opponent underestimates you, the higher your chances of success, after all.
Taking note that she had, in fact, not yet finished applying all of her makeup, since the trademark star symbol was missing from over her eye, Icarus waved his hand in a casual motion. "Don't be too concerned about it, it's partially my fault for arriving so early prior to the show. I'm afraid several of my troupe members simply couldn't wait to visit the famous Cirque du Noire," he chuckled. "Feel free to continue your preparations, I just thought I'd alert you to our arrival."
A voice from outside called that 'fire alarms' had been placed accordingly around the circus grounds, and Icarus' smile tightened slightly into a thin line. Fire alarms, of course. The other circus had most likely heard about Stelle's little mishap with the tent, and decided to take the necessary precautions. But as far as anyone else knew, it had simply been a small accident, no? Then again, Silencieux did not seem like one to be sloppy, so it was only to be expected that she would be careful.
Icarus had just been about to ask if there was anywhere he could sit while he waited for the show to begin, when a soft sound caught his attention. It sounded like a quiet boom in the distance. Standing up a bit straighter, Icarus' expression folded into a frown as he turned his head in the direction of the noise. "Is there something going on, Madame?" he asked slowly, apprehensive and concerned. If there was trouble, there was a good chance that at least one of his troupe members was involved, though he prayed fervently for it to be otherwise. They had barely been there for ten minutes!
