User Image This Is For Real,

Using her chopsticks, Rina started in on her ramen; slowly, and as delicately as possible, she pulled off a section of noodles and brought them to her mouth. Chewing thoughtfully, she almost grinned at the expression he had after her statement about her defense. It seemed she had fooled yet another person, and she always found it funny when the truth was revealed. Swallowing, she begins digging about in her bowl in search of seaweed. Glancing up at his offer, she smiles faintly. "But we'd graduate about the same time. Should I fail grades until you return?" she asks, amused at the thought; she had already completed the core classes, as was expected of her as a royal, and had come here because of their interesting curriculum.

Andrew Caliu. Necromancer.

After another bite of his noodles, Andrew nodded, stating nonchalantly, "Of course not. We'll build a time machine of some sort." Smiling, he noticed the princess' way of eating; proper and polite. For a moment he wondered if his own actions looked rather like a slob to her. He even debated trying to mimic the way she acted, but decided against it. It would look probably look strange and he would end up making a fool of himself. Besides, it wasn't as if he was eating like an animal of some sort. So, he simply pushed back the brief worry, and instead went on with speaking, "Or I can always help out now if you have questions. But personally, a time machine sounds like fun."

User Image This Is For Real,

The end of her chopsticks emerged from her bowl, a piece of seaweed held firmly between them. A triumphant look crossed her features, and as she glance back to Andrew, she noted the way he studied her eating habits. She almost blushed, embarrassed that she didn't seem to eat as most normal teens did; it was hard to change a habit that had been drilled in since birth. His comment about the time machine, however, lightened her mood and she laughed. "A time machine does indeed sound fun." she agreed, her mind racing at the possibility and science behind such a thing. Rina wasn't the type to ask questions, but she nodded to acknowledge his offer; when it came to physical things, she'd rather learn by doing.

Nodding in agreement, Andrew continued eating for several moments. The food was wonderful, and he was hopeful that Rina was enjoying it as well, prompting the question, "How's your plate?"

User Image This Is For Real,

Glancing up as a question was asked, she nodded in response. "Yes, actually. It's very good." she smiled, placing another piece of seaweed in her mouth. Chewing thoughtfully, she continued to stir the contents of her bowl as she thought. Swallowing, she glanced around the place before speaking again. "It's a lovely place to eat. The food is quite good, too." sounding content with the current situation, she turns her full attention to the other student. "What do you think?"

Smiling at the news of Rina's agreement to their location, teenager nodded, answered easily, "I'm enjoying the food, and the building. Sort of comfy in my opinion." He stirred absently once more, as his noodles were almost gone, and he knew that his homework would be calling soon enough. "And the company is pleasant." he added kindly, as this afternoon had definitely turned out to be entertaining.

User Image This Is For Real,

Brightening up at his comment about the company, she nodded in agreement. "The company is most definitely pleasant." she agreed, smiling at his implied compliment. Her food, as well, was mostly gone, though she continued to eat as she always had; she wasn't big on wasting food, and she wasn't completely full yet. Her day had gone better than expected, and she had to admit that lunch with Andrew was far more fun than wandering around the clothing store had been. The waiter returned, laying the bill down between their bowls. Absently, Rina glanced at it before laying down the appropriate amount to cover both it and the tip. "It is quite comfortable. We should come back sometime." she smiled, hinting at something she refused to say flat out.

Finishing the last of his food, Andrew raised his eyebrow ever so slightly at Rina's reaction to the check. That was simply something he wasn't going to allow, but neither would a fuss be necessary. Nonchalantly, he simply brushed aside her money back in her direction, stating with a somewhat foolish grin, "You dropped something," and instead covered the check and service tip himself. Going on with the conversation, he nodded, dropping his own hint against her's. "Yes, we really should. Is there a specific time that you might be free?"

User Image This Is For Real,

Pursing her lips to the challenge, Rina resists the urge to smile; she supposed that was usually what happened on human dates, though it was an unusual change. In truth, it was a built in reaction; when she ate out with her team, she always paid the check. She had the most money, and she always offered. The smile won out, however, with his response to her hint. Thinking over her school schedule, she pauses before answering. "Thursdays and Fridays after four." she tells him, not hesitating. "Weekends too, of course."

Andrew himself had to fight back a smile at the sight of Rina's. It was nice to know she didn't find the prospect of returning for a meal to be uninviting. "Well, my last class ends at five twenty on fridays," he stated thoughtfully as he stood. Giving their waiter a small nod and thanks, he turned back to the princess, offering, "And assuming you would be at your dorm, I could drop by and invite you out."

User Image This Is For Real,

Continuing to smile, in both joy and amusement, Rina nods to acknowledge his statement. Restraining a grin, she began inspecting her nails as if they were the most important thing in the world. "I suppose I could wait for you." she responds, letting a small smile break through. "If I have nothing better to do, of course." she added, looking up to wink at him; she was joking of course, and she hoped that he would be able to tell by the lack of haughtiness in her voice. The princess wasn't very good at pretending to be arrogant, mostly because it was a highly hated trait among her people. Dropping the act, she allowed herself to grin at him. "I would most definitely be in my dorm. So, if you were to feel the desire, you could do just that."

Rubbing the back of his head, Andrew allowed a small smirk to cross his mouth as Rina spoke. It was a rather amusing trait she had; where she could kid and joke without sounding too dry or haughty. Responding to her wink with a small smile, he replied with his own classy air, "Oh, absolutely. I'm sure there may be more pressing matters, such as an exciting homework." Chuckling, he let her finish with her natural tone, and he too continued with his regular way of speaking. "Alrighty, I'll be happy to check in, unless of course you have a fun paper to write."

User Image This Is For Real,

Rina was glad he hadn't taken her attempts at haughtiness seriously; his own attempts were quite amusing, and she shrugged in defeat. "Oh, I just may. But it's nothing I can't put off for a little bit." she assured him, one side of her mouth curling up in a sarcastic smile. "If you can put off your exciting homework, I see no reason why I can't put of a fun paper." it was nice, not having to be serious all the time; she hadn't spent much time around others ended up being about her age, when you factored in the race difference. It seemed that, despite their jests and when confirming what had only been implied, they had set up a date. At least, Rina thought it was a date.

Still holding a light smirk, he nodded to Rina's answer, letting his lips form a smile instead. "Hm, yes. That does seem fair." Relaxing to a more normal posture, the teenager rested his arm at his side, adding lightly, "So, I'll most probably come knocking." Of course, he had wished to call it a date, but a part of him was hesitant, despite the signs he gained from the Slyph; but aren't all teenage boys wary? His hand raised in a friendly wave, he grinned, finishing off his sentence, "Til later then!"

User Image This Is For Real,

Standing from her seat, Rina adjusts the stool so that it wasn't sticking out in the middle of the walkway. "Then it's a date." she decided aloud, hands on her hips. Before he could object, or say anything on the matter, she moved away from him and towards the door to the building. "Thanks for lunch, Andrew. See you Friday." she smiled, winking once before turning the corner and disappearing in the crowd outside. She wasn't the type to dance around the subject, but she would hate to embarrass herself by assuming; this way, should she be wrong about the situation, he could simply point out that he had only ever said 'probably' and just not show up.
