She'd made sure to be prepared once Lizzy brought over all her prom stuff. Indeed, she hadn't needed a second fitting; the dress fit just as it did in the dressing room. When Jericho came by, she hastily tucked a glove on and left a certain corgon to man the dorm room.

Sleek, Jericho. Mighty Sleek. She looked over the boil as they made their way over to prom and grinned a toothy smile. Sleek was something you said to compliment a boil's attire in such a setting; she knew that much by observing them back home. She made sure to keep a close eye on her tail ribbon as they made their way to the auditorium, trying not to get it dirty.

Lizzy wouldn't be happy about that, she thought.

Turning a nervous gaze up at the reaper Mitsu realized he was staring for a moment, a light blush covering her cheeks when he said she looked nice as well. Normally her mask would have hid such a thing...but this mask came no where close.

Trying to resist the urge to cover her face Mitsu nodded. "Y..yes I'm ready." At least she was as ready as she would ever be. She was already trying to mentally prep herself for the crowds that would be there. Hopefully the music wouldn't be too loud, while she enjoyed it her ears were rather sensitive.

Stepping up beside the reaper Mitsu waited for Shun to lead the way, a sense of excitement welling up again. She had never been to a dance, really the only school event she had gone to was the open house that had been held at this school. Hopefully there wouldn't be cats....hopefully.

"Not looking bad yourself there," grinned Jericho as he walked along side her as they came up to the doors to the place. He could already hear the music going on inside. Hopefully it wouldn't be blasting all night long. While he would have no problems shouting over it if needed, he was certain there were those who'd struggle with that sort of thing.

"Ladies first," the dragon chuckled as he opened the door for the Tatzel, peeking in briefly as he did so. While he already knew what the place looked like, he wasn't sure how many people were there already. So far it looked like there were only a small handful around.

----

Catching the light blush, Shun glanced at Mitsu for another moment or so, then nodded to her. There was something.. nice about that but he didn't dwell on it.

Since she was all set, he started walking down the hall so they could get to the auditorium where the event was being held. As he strolled along, there was occasionally a slight limp in his step. His right leg had healed for the most part, but it wasn't completely better after pulling his quad.

The reaper was able to hide the fact for the most part, but every now and then he slipped up. Hopefully no one would notice this.

As they approached the auditorium Mitsu could hear the music playing. It must have been really loud inside but she tried not to let it deter her. That just meant her ears would have to lay back to muffle the sound a bit. Catching some of the decorations by the door the lupine had to wonder what the inside would look like. She had heard rumors here and there but so far it was going to be a surprise.

Shun's limp had gone unnoticed for now, the wolf girl was far to excited about the event that was about to happen. Normally she would have caught on, but tonight she seemed oblivious. "What do you think it's like inside?" She couldn't hide the excitement in her voice, anxious to be apart of her first real event.

Calder was more than giddy. This was the night, and he woke up early just to do all that was required. He went over to the Prom room to help with the minor preparation, having spent days beforehand helping with the heavy lifting and pulling and things requiring more manual labor. He had tried to help that morning, but his jittery nerves had made him knock a few chairs over and nearly caused the punch bowl to meet the floor when he bumped it. He excused himself early and no one objected.

After that, he took a swim in the river for his skin and nerves, then a long time washing his hair and tail, not to mention brushing his legs. He trimmed and glosses his hooves, and then set to work getting dressed. It took nearly an hour with fiddling with his hair. All down in waves, or up in a bun. The leeches were no help, and Fester had to leave to take a breather or else Calder was going to talk his ear off trying to get his option if he should scoot his kilt up a bit more or leave it as is. At last dressed and hair up in a plaid ribbon, he set to work on braiding his tail and tieing that as well. At long last, he was done. He would prove to Invictus that he was true in his promise to be the best prom date ever.

Of course, he still had to wait....seeing as despite how much time he took, there was still HOURS before he had to go. Maybe he should have slept in, but he had been too nervous and up all night that he was hyper and nervous and couldn't even eat anything because his stomach was weird and he worried that if he got sick then it would completely cut Prom short or maybe he'd get sick up on Invictus' shoes and OHH! It was hours of mental torture as he paced his room, not able to sit as he didnt' want to wrinkle his kilt and second guessing his choice in attire and wondering if he'd look better if he just cut off half his hair? Would Invi like his hair short? Where was Fester when you needed him?!!!!

By the time he was close to picking up his date (the room now vacant of any leeches as they fled in terror of their maniac owner) Calder grabbed the bouquet of Eye-rises and a corsage, heading off for the boil's room. He came early, and waited 15 minutes down the stairs until it was time and went to knock right at the expected time. Actually, he had waited to the exact second the clock turned to knock, smiled, presented his bouquet to him, and after they were put inside, they headed to Prom arm in arm. Calder constantly kept a thought in his head that asked 'What would the best prom date ever do?' and tried to make small talk, but remembered that Invi didnt' do small talk and instead just walked with him, arm in arm, down the moonlight path. It was enough just to be beside him after all. Why bother with chit chat? (Not that he wouldn't have minded learning anything and everything about the horseman. Oh Invi, why close your heart and your lips to me?)

It was magical, their walk. The steady sound of Invi's polished shoes and Calder's hooves, slightly muffled by the hoof clips that popped over the bottom of his hooves to give him some traction on the slick Prom dance floor. There was no way he was going to have the same mistake happen that happened during Scarentines. This was Prom, and he expected to dance with Invi a few times. Lots of dances. Lots of slow, close dances.

Biting his lower lip, he walked with his gorgeous date, taking nose of how nicely they matched, and imagined what everyone would think of how perfectly they no doubt looked together. Walking over, he reached out to open the door for Invi as they both stepped in. This was the start of their magical prom!

Well thank ya kindly! It was on formality that she said this and was glad she was at least on par with the dragon's etiquette thus far. Formal occasions were never a top priority for her, but the curiosity in this case drove her to meet with her peers in this...

...after taking Jericho's offered entry and bowing her head to him in gratitude, she stepped into... what was by definition...

Jiminy Jack in 'a candy shop. Is this a dream? Amma dreamin'? Where 'am I?!

So many lights and sounds (loud sounds!) and lights and giant die ...

The ghoul walked in step by step taking in the amazingly decorated scene. Never in all her life had she ever seen something so fantastic. It was so unrealistic to her that she looked to the ceiling like a child and did a slow twirl. She then caught herself and looked at Jericho then, coughing lightly to change her tone. Amazin' thing they did 'ere...

Ren was, in fact, dateless to the Amityville High School Prom.

Sort of.

It was almost like any other night; except it wasn't. There was a vivid excitement in the air, so thick it was almost tangible, and the soft, muted strains of music could be heard above the sound of his footsteps. Ren had spent most of the day decorating the auditorium, so he had scarcely had a few hours to get ready himself. But he was cleaned up now, dressed to the nines, and ready to go.

It was a nice night; crisp and clear with the faint scent of pumpkins and spice flitting through the air. Ren walked with his hands in his pockets, golden eyes raised to the star streaked sky, bright and black simultaneously. His wings flapped a bit, then pressed neatly against the black pinstriped tuxedo he was wearing, the tails of the coat fluttering against his legs as he walked.

"It looks nice in here," Ren murmured as he stepped inside the room, smoothing down one of his sleeves. His sleek black shoes were making clacking noises on the glossy tile floor, and two ghouls stood on either side of them; one with tell-tale bright red hair, the other with tumbling auburn curls. Ren pivoted, resting an arm casually on the shoulder of the person beside him.

"So, Gabrian. You ready for a night on the dance floor?"

Timeliness was important. Being late showed a lack of enthusiasm. Being too early showed desperation. For Invictus, the perfect balance of time was 10 minutes early, at earliest. Exactly and directly on time, however, was something new.

Unlike Calder, Invictus knew exactly how much time it took for him to make himself presentable if he wished to put on some sort of a show; 3 hours, 20 minutes, 32 seconds. Rarely did he deviate from that time by more than a few seconds. Less time caused him to reevaluate his appearance and tweek as necessary, more time just meant he looked nicer and that he would still be on time for whatever event, though most were related to his father expecting him to meet with somebody else. He hadn't thought anything less of some student related function, and thus had made a point to put in his 3 hours and 20 minutes to clean up and make sure every hair was in place.

It seemed that his date was just as timely, and it may have even pleased the horseman as he opened the door. Then again, his expression was as thin pressed as it always was. The flowers had probably been a bit much, but Invictus knew that they would be quickly smothered in any room with a group of people, and thus had taken an extra two minutes to put them in a vase, setting them in the window sill next to his bed. That thought alone would probably have the kelpie chittering in glee.

Once that had been established, however, they were off. Invictus didn't find the walk as romantic as it could have been taken as by any other group, moonlight being moonlight to him. Though there was a certain ambient charm about it.

The silence, however, was somewhat overbearing; "You are allowed to speak to me. Simply speak with purpose." he said firmly, his tone never faltering, just as his steps never faltered. He never even checked to make sure he wasn't going to step on the hem of any clothing, or anything of that similarity.

The horseman had reached to hold the door open for his date, but it seemed Calder was already ahead of him, and he put his arm down without seeming to have been put in any awkward spot.

"Thank you." he said, stepping in, before turning, waiting with his arm offered out for Calder to take up once again in his giddy joy.

"Something like a casino," Shun replied as they came up towards the door. He recalled seeing the booth at Open house and that was where he got the idea of what the theme was. Speaking of that, he still had some of the chips he had acquired from that roulette wheel on him. Supposedly they were to be used here but he didn't really know what exactly.

After seeing Jericho and the tatzel make their way inside, he went on and grabbed the door for Mitsu as well.

"Go on in," he said.

---

Grinnning to Levi, Jericho glanced back briefly, seeing others making their way towards the door. There were a number of familiar faces heading towards them.

Once inside, he raised an eyebrow at the girl he accompanied before chuckling lightly.

"You're in the auditorium, made to look like the dice house of Oogie Boogie himself," he grinned, obviously amused with her reaction.

"Why thanks," he added. He had helped set the place up and all.

Mot had been volunteered into Prom comity, and had arrived with Lizzy early to help everyone set up. He'd never had the chance in his lifetime thus far to help his friends with something so big. Outwardly, he seemed casual about it, but on the inside he was gleeful.

After all was basically set up, Mot and Lizzy excused themselves to get ready. Mot headed to the Reaper dorms to get dressed. He shined up like a new penny, his hair brushed, yet somehow just as fluffy, and his trademark hat cleaned up to suit. A new red band replaced the older one, and he wore the attire chosen by Lizzy some days before.

Once he was all ready,he grabbed the dried rose bouquet and corsage and headed to the Demon dorms. Once there, he texted Lizzy to meet him downstairs. After that, he waited, the bouquet hidden behind his back.

When Calder had been told, near approaching the building where the dance was to be held, that he could speak, he still failed to do so. He tried to think what speaking with purpose was as compared to small talk, and he didn't know. He started to second guess each topic that came to him. He most wanted to know about random things. Did Invi like the idea of 2 children or 12? Did he think Berasion was a bad name for a baby boil? If they were to marry, would Invi mind living near the river? Of course, he didn't voice these questions and still thought of what too the point was. The most he managed was. "I hope our night together is nice." And that was that. Calder had to recover and sort through his mental note cards of conversation topics for only the best, but in doing so, he wasn't even talking at all. He needed to get out of his own head. Luckily, entering prom was a great distraction, and he breathed out when they entered.

"It seems to be busy already. I was worried we'd be too early. The place looks great." He said, and wondered if that would be small talk to. He better engage his date. "The Prom committee worked really hard, don't you think?" He said, smiling a bit as he walked away from the door with hsi date and more into the room with the others. Being his first Prom, he wasn't sure what you did while you waited for the real dance to dance. The music was blaring, but still allowed talking. Talking. Ugh! He really needed to figure out what to say!!!

"Strange music though." He added, looking over to the large blocks that he learned from Barth's stereo were called speakers. The belting guitar was not something common in his kind's music and it made hsi ears twitch a bit.

"I know you're new, but is there anyone you'd like to talk to? I don't think we're going to be doing much dancing just yet." Calder looked up and noticed Shehk looking gorgeous up to her face, where a smile as tight as her dress really threw the look off. He gave her a little wave with his hand, and then a grin. He wanted to point to Invi to show her who he landed, but he didn't want his date to notice.

Instead, he was more surprised to see Christof with Shehk. Wait? Wasn't she with that jerk Nuk?!! Well, Christof at least had a date, but knowing who Christof really liked, he felt a bit..........sad for Shehk. Still, maybe they could have fun together. Maybe Christof could forget his mistress and just fall for Shehk. That would have been a cute and much better route.

Peering just behind Jericho, she nodded to two figures entering just after them. The other white haired ghoul with tatzel-like ears (not the tail though)...and the boil who must've been a friend of Lizzy's from their not-so-math-like class.

Ya mean yer one 'a tha folk that made this?! She focused in on Jericho and smiled, not taking his chuckling as a personal mockery, but as his own gesture of excitement. She herself had already let her own excitement out of the bag, it seemed.

Curious eyes took in the sights even before they reached the door. Mitsu could already feel her nerves starting to settle in around her but she had come to have fun and Shun had gone out of his way to bring her even when he didn't have to.

"T..thank you," Mitsu gave a nod of gratitude before she stepped through the door her eyes growing wide at the transformation the room had undergone. "Wow, look at everything." Her head moved this way and that taking in everything with the enthusiasm of a curious child. There was even the smallest hint, a fraction of a smile on her face. "This is amazing."

Soon her eyes swept over the people that had made it thus far, her eyes spotting Riley not far off as well was Jericho ahead of them with a very pretty ghoul Mitsu did not know. At least so far it wasn't crowded though Mitsu was certain it wouldn't be that way for long.

Being part of the prom committee was fun, even if it meant having to go down early to help with the decorations and setting up of the place. It was worth it in the end to see the auditorium all cleaned up and decorated - it looked like a completely new place. Before that, she had to drop by a few rooms to give some ghouls their prom outfits... It was a busy day, but it was finally time to spend some time on herself.

Getting ready was a lot more complicated for Lizzy - she took the shortest shower she had ever taken prior to an 'important event' before drying her hair and putting on the dress that she had made. Then there was the issue of doing up her hair, which took up most of her time.

She just had to choose a complicated hairdo. Wheee.

It was a miracle she was almost done by the time the text arrived - tightening the corset set around her waist, she slipped into her boots, grabbed her handbag and headed out the door. When she saw Mot, it took every inch of her not to smile uncontrollably, although by the time she was near, she couldn't resist a soft giggle.

"You look great! Nice boots~" She complimented with a smile, even if she was the one who had picked out his outfit for him, he does look good... Even more so than usual, "Your hat is all dressed up too!"

Mot had been standing straight and proper as he waited, admiring the decor of the demon dorms before he heard the clicking of shoes approaching. He looked up to see a very amazing looking saloon girl approach. Wait... that was Lizzy? That hot looking saloon girl was Lizzy?

He smiled widely at the demoness, clearly pleased. "Why thank you. I dressed it up just for you." He said with a grin, eyeing her up and down. He nodded approvingly, his hands still behind his back. "You look fantastic. Love your taste in dress." Biased? Yes, totally.

Finally, Mot pulled out the bouquet of dried up roses, and the corsage, each in a hand. "I probably should have brought these up to your room, in retrospect. Hindsight is 20/20." He handed the roses to Lizzy, and lifted up one of her hands to attach the corsage for her.
