Ami Krisha Xavier the Fiery Meister

Ami entered with Loic and Melanie. She sat in front of Melanie when she saw Melanie rolling her eyes when the waitress was talking to Loic. She looked at her confused with a sweatdrop again, Uhuh, Seems Mel's been uptight to Loic alright. Oh thanks to myself that I did not sit beside him or it will turn into Mel's misunderstanding.

When Mel asked her, she said, Well.. hm.. She is still scanning at her menu and said, Okay, one Lobster Soup

"Great." Loic signaled for a waiter/tress to come and lo and behold, there came the albino chick with a cheeky look.

"Yuor order iz ready?" She asked, leaning in a bit too closely into his personal space. Loic's forehead creased at this and he promptly coughed and focused on the menu.

"One Bouillabaisse, basil soup and lobster soup, please." Loic replied mechanically.

"Of course, mon ami. Anyzing else?" She grinned, and Loic could feel her minty breath mixed in with something else he couldn't quite place on his face. Like maybe...Pine Sol? He fidgeted with a family ring on his hand, a discreet nervous habit of his.

"Any drinks you find favorable?" He queried.

"Our Kir Royal iz sweet; muscat and pastis are fab too." The waitress seemed to bask in satisfaction as Loic discreetly shied away from her, moving his head ever so little to the left.

"I'll take the first one. Kir Royal. But wait, those have alcohol, so none for you two, ladies."

He chuckled at this, happy to focus on anything else but that French waitress, whose smile only seemed to grow. He dimly wondered if she had known he was above 18. He supposed he looked it already, but some people didn't know. Eh. He didnt dwell on it much, seeing as the woman was staring intently just inches from his face.

The waitress promptly giggled and wrote everything down.

"Ok zhen. Be back zoon~" She cooed and sauntered away and out of sight.

Loic reprimaned himself for nearly sighing in relief. Lord, if this kept going on, he might have to politely tell her to get the hell off him.

"WELL." He began, still twisting his ring around. "You're both from London. Isn't that coincidental?"

-----------------/

??????????????????????????

The waitress chuckled when she was some distance away from the German noble. "So adorable. I might just eat him up later on...He has his father's eyes!" She gushed silently to herself. "They'd look great - rolled up in his head without seeing anything..." The albino smiled at her thoughts, her face absolutely angelic.

The albino waitress came back over to Loic of course and took their orders. She was hanging all over him again just like before, not taking a single look towards her and Ami.

She just sat there and tried ignored the girl like she usually does with those kind of girls, but for some reason her eyes kept going straight to her. Maybe its because her hair is so white Mel thought to herself. I guess I'm not really use to that. Loic said something about them not being able to have any alcohol and it made her look away. She smiled back being polite.

Her tiredness was starting to creep back up on her. She tried to shake it off, but it lingered. Loic turned back to her and Ami and brought up how they were both from London.

"That is quite a coincident." She thought out loud. "When did you get over here?" Mel turned and asked Ami.

"Last week huh?" Mel smiled at Ami "I just got in the other day." She looked down as she fiddled with her hands. "Do- umm Do you like it here?" She asked looking back up at her. Wow great question Mel! Why not ask her about the weather too while your at it? Melanie was never really good with small talk, but she wanted to get better at it and maybe even make some friends in the process.

Ami shrugged and chuckled Well, I like it here a lot. Ya know, many spots here to travel? She smiled at Mel, So Mel, You like the weather here? She then looked at her brown hair, Well, In truth Mel. I like your hair

Melanie giggled a little at Ami's weather comment, then was sorta surprised when she commented on her hair. "Umm t-thanks." She blushed a little as she played with a strand of her long brown hair.

"My mom always liked it long." She added thinking about her mom and her shy smile was replaced by a sad one. She quickly removed it hoping they didnt see and kept on with the conversation.

"So your a student at the DWMA like us right? Does that mean you have a partner already?" She looked back up at her.

Loic at first politely listened to their small talk but soon he got severely distracted. Something was wrong. He first thought the prickling on his skin was caused by sitting near a window, thus making him cold, but he soon found out why.

Someone was prodding his soul with Soul Lockpick.

Soul Lockpick was a technique at a much higher level than Soul Perception; in fact, most meisters could never hope to learn it. It was a way to forcefully open a person's soul and spill its contents to the user. Loic was certain that the only true master of this technique was Shinigami himself. However rare the ability was, most armies of the world had at least one person who could use it, for obvious purposes. As such, Loic had been prepared to resist, so he was not incredibly worried.

However, the person who was using it on him piqued his curiosity in a not so positive way.

His icy blue eyes scanned the room quickly. Even with his Soul Perception at its fullest, he could not find anyone capable of utilizing the technique. The prodding became harder and Loic balled his hands into fists on his lap, tensing a bit. The pressure didn't spike anymore, so Loic assumed the person was at their limit.

That meant a witch or warlock was behind this.

But why him? And why would they come to Death City? Loic whipped his head back to look at the kitchen doors behind him; then he began to look past the girl's shoulders to look for suspicious people.

And sitting in that corner was him.

A man was sitting alone in the far corner of the room, a lone cup in hand. He had soft brown hair that fell just above his shoulders in a casual, but not quite messy look. He had a scarf on and a long trenchcoat, with shin length boots. He couldn't have been older than 26, though his vibe seemed much more mature. He had hazel shadowed eyes and looked somewhat tired, stress lines echoed on his forehead. He seemed to have remembered something happy, because he smiled while staring at his cup. The effect made him look sadder, somehow, like he was recalling a wistful memory. Overall he looked like a harmless loner.

It was becaus he didn't look suspicious that Loic felt he was. No sooner had Loic thought this, the older man looked up at him and locked his hazel eyes on him. This only deepened Loic's suspicions.

What could Loic do? Nothing; he couldn't risk endangering the people here. And besides that, he didn't know how powerful this guy was. Though he seemed thin and physically weak, this was not enough to judge his magical strength.

The man kept a level gaze on him, but after a few seconds, he lowered a brow and tilted his head a bit while giving him a small smile, almost saying "okaaaaay, why are you staring at me like that?" as the brunette took a sip of his drink, Loic's gaze hardened on him.

You're a good actor, he thought angrily, but not good enough.

----------/

??????????

The albino waitress picked up a tray while a small smile played on her cherubic lips. The boy had resisted, though she knew that he would crack had she been unrestricted. He's good, she thought. But not good enough.

--------/

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The man casually glanced at the younger man on the other side of the room and was amused and a bit unnerved that the kid was actually leaning foward a bit, craning his head over girl's shoulder to glare at him.

What the hell was wrong with him?

At first, the man felt a bit flattered that the dark haired kid was looking at him - he figured that perhaps the boy thought he was handsome, or at least intriguing, he wouldn't have been the first. But now, he was glaring daggers at him, and the older man felt confused.

The man couldn't recall seeing the boy's pretty face before. He looked distinctly European, and his dark hair and light eyes have him an exotic look. He was actually very attractive, the brunette thought as he looked him over. Well, if it weren't for the kid trying to kill him with his icy eyes, he might have approached him.

But he had more serious things to worry about.

The man needed to figure out who sent him that letter. It told him to meet them in this place today. He would've disregarded it were it not dripping with magic. He had alerted the Shinigami, technically- he sent him a message. But the man wasn't too worried. Even he was facing a witch or other magical creature, he was certain he could deal with it, even without weapon. After all, he had taken down a formidable witch in his youth along with ex-partner Marie Mjolner before she was a Deathscythe.

He could take care of this quickly, especially now after all that he had recently gone through.

The man calmly sipped his drink and returned his gaze to the younger man, still curious as to why he was looking at him like that.

I mean - its not like he had Soul Lockpick, and whether or not he Perception, it couldn't cut through his Soul Protect. If you could even call his ability Soul Protect...

Right?

Ami said to Mel, Yeah I'm a meister. And my weapon is a sword and named Gelo.

Then when she saw Loic was staring at the old man, she said, Hm.. Loic. What are you staring at? She's curious about it. Even in the first time they met.

"Oh a meister huh? Thats cool, maybe sometime we could meet your partner too?" She shrugged a bit not sure if it was right to ask something like that since they just met and all.

When Ami asked Loic what he was staring at it was then that Melanie noticed he hadnt said a word the whole time. She looked over at him and he indeed was staring at someone. A man to be exact. Mel glanced at the man and then back at Loic. "Is something wrong?" she asked a little confused.

Loic faced Ami but didn't shift his eyes away from his target.

"Nothing imperative that cannot be dealt with later." He responded vaguely. "That painting over there is actually very interesting, you can see the amount of work put into it." He changed the subject without missing a beat, waving a hand to the back of the room, in the center of the wall where the brunette had his back too. It was an oil pairing of Marie Antonette. "Never liked Marie. She had a thought span the size of a pencil. No wonder her country fell apart." He continued, his eyes no looking at his partner.

"And why would something be wrong?"

He shrugged her question off quickly, fingering his ring again.

"Mon cherie, your order is ere!" A bright voice interrupted further conversation, and the albino waitress returned with the required dishes and drinks. Smiling at Loic, she placed a drink down incorrectly and it spilled over the table; it would have landed on Mel had Loic not pulled the tablecloth back a considerable amount. In doing this, he managed to spill his own dark alcoholic drink on his shirt.

The waitress spazzed.

"Oh non! Monsieur, excuse moi!" The albino step down the dishes on an empty neighboring table and proceeded to apologize profusely in rapid French. The older man sitting further away nearly choked on his tea with laughter. Meanwhile, Loic simply tried to ignore everything and clean the mess. The waitress took Loic by the hand suddenly.

"Come, Cheri, I'll clean you up, iz the least I can do," She pulled him away from the table and Loic, rather stultified at the sudden change of events,et her drag him away.

The older man shook his head and tutted at Loic, giving him a playful smile. It wasnt' the dark haired boy who returned his smile with a quick smirk and a nasty glint in their eye.

The man could not miss the waitress's almost sinister smirk as she led Loic to a small passageway that led to the bathroom. The man tightened his jaw and watched her take the pretty faced boy.

No. Could she be -? Really? The witch that called him?

The man mulled it over for a couple of minutes. He finally set his drink down and began to walk over to the passageway, waving away a waiter that came to attend him. He would stay nearby and pretend to linger at the bar, but he would listen to what was going on. His hearing would help.

------/

Goddammit. She just wouldn't shut up.

Really, he was not that upset. Loic stared at the waitress, peeved at her muddled up words warbling from her mouth while she led him over. She, did, however take a breathe when they passed the suspected warlock.

Loic glared at the man when he realized he was laughing at him, and that sEemed to shut the man up. Loic failed to realize that the man's now hardened and observant eyes were not directed at him.

And now the waitress had rushed into the bathroom to grab some wet towels and when she came back, she had the audacity to try to unbutton his shirt after the stain failed to come off.

It took all of Loics restraint not to yell.

Instead, he settled for taking a large step back and pushing her wrists away from him. He knew where she was going with this.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey. I overlooked your past advances, but his is where I draw the line."

"But mon amaunt, I must clean you up-"

"No." Loic interjected too sharPly. "I'm alright," he added in a softer but equally stern tone, taking the towels from her hands and walking into the bathroom to wet his shirt more.

He mentally facepalmed when she followed him inside.

"I'm fine, I swear, but I WILL be very upset if you don't give me my privacy this instant." Loic warned none too calmly.

"Hmm." The waitress replied apathetically. "I've come to say this: watch yourself, something wicked this way comes. It'd do you well to observe everyone around you carefully."

Loic stopped wiping at his shirt and stared at the lithe albino's reflection in the mirror. She spoke perfect English without any accent. So - but wait what?

"Excuse you?"

"Heehee. You should make that face more often. It fits you," she giggled, practically shoving him against the sink. The Pine Sol odor became apparent again when the waitress leaned closer and the german flinched away . Loic was about to push her away and potentially use Soul Drive on her when Loic had the feeling that they were no longer alone.

"C'mon, now, you don't do this kind of thing in a French restaurant's bathroom - at least get a room!"

Loic's eyes nearly popped out when he realized the man with the scarf was leaning against the frame of the doorway, a sad smile that was somehow converted into a smug one on his face. Loic supposed his words were reasonable. After all, he was pressed against a sink by a woman leaning way too close into his face with a wet shirt in a bathroom, of all places. He couldn't be damned to move though, and Loic thought that perhaps the warlock was affecting his ability to move.

Damn.

The albino chick tilted her head to the older man and smiled sweetly. Loic nearly puked. "Ahahahah, you're so cute, mon amai, but we weren't going to go there. At least not all the way." She giggled deviously and Loic felt a mighty urge to twist his ring nervously.

"Huh." the man commented. "Well, unlike you, I have business to do here. And I'm sure you have a job to do, CHERI."

Topic could not see the womans expression, but he heard a certain malice within her voice when she laughed. "We'll see who gets the last word." The lady skipped foward and planted her open palm on the older man's chest. "And remember, mon amaunt -" She paused at the doorway , looking at Loic.

"Trust no one." She trailed her hand last the older man's shoulder as she walked away, but Loic couldn't help but notice that the man let out a low hiss and leaned away when her hand neared his neck.

Patting his coat the man closed the door.

"I would think you'd know better than that," He teased. Oh boy this was going to be FUN.

Loic sat there and explained himself, he said he was looking at a painting, but Mel knew that was a lie. She decided not to say anything, but she was very curious as to why he was looking at that man.

The waitress came back with their food and as she was handing it out she ended up spilling their drinks. Loic was able to stop it from falling on her, but ended up getting it all over him. The waitress tried cleaning it up and ended up dragging Loic off to the restroom instead.

Mel watched them walk away and noticed the man Loic was staring at seemed to follow, now she was even more curious. Her stomach growled and she looked down at her soup, It smells so good, she thought. She looked back and they were gone, so she just decided to focus on her food.

She eat a spoonful of soup and couldnt hide the enjoyment. She smiled at Ami , but noticed she got up to leave. "Oh okay sure." She watched Ami leave the restraunt and she was left sitting alone.

It was then that she noticed the waitress coming back out from the restroom with a smile, but something about the smile gave Mel a weird feeling, nausea. The waitress looked up at her and the smile quickly disappeared and instead it was replaced with a glare. A chill went down her spine. Then as quickly as she appeared she disappeared into the kitchen.
