Her ears twitched, and she looked back at Shadow incredulously, "You wha--" she began, but was cut off as she tripped over her feet when she wasn't paying attention and she landed on her back, smacking her head on the floor hard, "Ngh--" she gasped.

~~ Shadow's eyes widened slightly when Kodi fell. Not because of the actual act of her falling, but because then he tripped and landed ontop of her.
The hedgehog mutant felt his cheeks get slightly warmer. He told himself it wasn't due to their positioning nor the fact that their faces were only inches from each other, but caused by....uh...something else..?

She groaned when he landed on her and she put her hands on his chest to push him off, but it wasn't working since he'd just knocked the wind out of herself with that fall, and then she had Shadow fell on top of her before she had a chance to get a full breath of air in herself, "Get--... off me." she wheezed, glaring up at Shadow weakly and tried to push him off again.

Shadow blinked, then sat up. His legs were on either side of her, so that was sort of an awkward position. Either he didn't notice or didn't care. Probably the latter.
"Tch. It wasn't my idea to fall on you, now was it?" He asked bitterly, rolling his crimson eyes. ~~

Kodi coughed when he sat up, panting as she tried to catch her breath, closing her eyes, "Why... why are... why are you blushing...? A-and... what was... that about a... d-dream about me...?" she gasped, her hand coming up to push her bangs from her face, then she just gave up half way and just let her hand rest on her forehead. For a moment she was just breathing hard, then she opened her eyes and looked up as Shadow, then it slowly occured to her the position they were in and her eyes widened as her face reddened a bit as she closed her eyes again and turned her head to the side.

~~ Shadow's blush slowly vanished as Kodi's appeared. "Maybe it's due to the fact that I look like I'm trying to rape you or something?" He got to his feet(PARTY POOPER >n<). "The dream....All I remember is that you were stumbling around the hallways of this place due to exhaustion, and for some reason I decided to help you back to your room."
The mutant shrugged.
"Not a big deal."

"Okay, there are several things wrong with what you just said." she muttered, scooting back and sitting up herself, still wheezing a bit, but nothing big anymore, "For one, you dreaming about me, IS a big deal. Considering we 'hate' each other--" she said, shaking her head and standing up, "Dos, the whole 'rape' thing... you should have just NOT said that. And three, that, um, that wasn't... a dream..." she mumbled the last bit whisper quietly as she stood there awkwardly, twiddling her thumbs and looking away from him. She was embarrassed to have been seen like that, especially by Shadow none the less.

She blushed and glared at him, "I said.... er, nevermind, forget it." she said in a hurried tone as she choked up just before telling him, her glare slowly drifting from her face and she turned around and began to walk away, "J-just forget it, alright?" she called as she continued to walk, not looking back as she tired to hide her red face from both Shadow and the bystanders that were hesitating to walk away. Sheesh, you'd think that these people have never seen a drama show or something based off the way they were gawking at the two.

Shadow growled quietly at them. "If I look back and you're all still there, needless of your age or gender, you will be obliterated. Understood?" He walked after Kodi.

And with that being said, Shadow and Kodi were alone in the hallway quickly, but she still kept walking, not saying anything or looking back either. At the moment, she found it better to keep Shadow out of the loop about his so called 'dream'. He wouldn't have to worry about whatever it was that he was so upset about it and she would be able to play being a complete klutz in front of him of as a lie. Well, it was all very well thought out on her part, except that she remembered that she didn't give Shadow his knife back and that it was sitting on her dresser right now. She'd have to figure out a way to give that back without him knowing it was gone in the first place, which would be almost literally impossible.

Kodi bit her lip, clearing her throat quietly, "D-did I say that? What I meant to say was... um, i-it... uh.... that that was a weird dream. Yeah, that's what I meant." she lied, slipping out of his grip on her shoulder and turned to face him, but she still wouldn't let him see her face.
