Candace was a little thrown off by the sudden color rushing to Jerry's cheeks, and it showed. Was he okay? Did he not like that name? It kind of just happened. She would understand if he didn't like it. She hated being called 'Candy' herself. "You o--" And then he started laughing.

And laughing.

And...laughing some more...

...Jesus Christ Almighty. He was still laughing. Candace raised a brow and pretended to check a watch that wasn't actually on her wrist, tapping her foot a little. "I'll wait." She said calmly, like a teacher waiting for her glass to settle the hell down.

Ah, so that was it. Candace chuckled and thread her fingers through her hair, giving him a slightly exasperated sigh and a grin. "Ah, I see. Well..if I hear anyone else calling you Jerrbear then, I'm punching them." If she'd been the first? She'd be the only. She could see why he was called Mouse. He was kind of mousey.

As he backed into his room she stepped closer to the door to see what was happening. Hey. Hey. She didn't say you could leave. She was bored. She needed conversation. Caelius and his scythe could wait, she supposed. "Oh. Yeah, sure. Why not. After that we should see about getting you to do things actually reasonable for a workout for you." Candace teased, putting her hands on her hips and waiting for him by his door. She didn't enter the room but she came pretty close.

"So. Singing?" How had that been the first thing to come to this guy's head? Wasn't he a man? You'd think he'd go the route of a lech and she'd have a chance to slap him. It'd kind of been what she'd wanted. But he didn't...he immediately went to music. What an odd little man.

"Oh, I see. And I wouldn't say you aren't good at it. Your singing certainly wasn't bad." It was better than hers by a long shot. Candace didn't have much in terms of singing voice. She was kind of disappointed she couldn't hear him play any instruments, but oh well. Maybe one day in the future they'd be able to get their hands on more contraband. Or something. It'd be nice, she did quite miss a lot of her things back home even if she had no intention of ever going back. Unless it was to, you know, get something and return. Other than that? ******** it.

She did give the room a look over, noting the random poster and everything. Random poster was random. How did he get that up there? She didn't think to bring posters or anything like that. She'd brought her entire wardrobe, expecting this was a chance at a new life, though for some reason she hadn't thought to bring...her laptop...or had she? Maybe they confiscated it. She wouldn't be surprised.

"Passions? Uh...not...anymore, really. I like music...listening to it. Not singing it. I don't sing." Except in the shower. Maybe. Sometimes. Occasionally.

Okay so she sang in the shower all the time, but it never sounded good and she always stopped as soon as she heard anything that sounded like someone was entering the room.

Ehhhh.. "I wouldn't exactly call myself an apprecionato. I just like listening to it." Did that make her a whatsit? Candace looked interested at the tidbit about him becoming a music teacher, however. If he wanted to be a music teacher why was he here? She very much doubted they wanted him here so he could teach them to sing and play the piano or the flute or something. There had to be a reason he wanted to give up the life he had...

Candace wouldn't ask. It wasn't her place. Besides, they had a cafeteria to go to. She grinned and nodded. "It's a date, Jerr-bear." She was teasing, but she did link arms with the man. "Lead the way~."
