He laughed a bit. "I can help you pack for a bit but... I also wanted to talk about our kids." His insides squiggled a bit as he said the word 'ours'. He still wasn't quite used to it.

She bit her lip and looked away. "Yes, I wanted to talk about them too." she said. The whole thing was still so strange and unexpected.

Schu opened his mouth, but then decided against it and closed it again. They had kids, kids that didn't need to be taken care of them but kids they had finally just met for this first time. Once he could speak again he said, "I want to get to know them, and I know that they are 'young adults' now, I think getting to know them would be good."

Chi-Chi nodded and tried to find the words to express herself. ". . . I. . . I want us to be a family. I want to get to know them too, and be involved with them, e-even if I'm still nervous about them." she said quietly.

He nodded. "I understand. I'm still not used to the idea myself." He said, giving her a small, nervous smile. "I think we should try to do something with them, maybe a family dinner or something." He said, rubbing her arm a bit, trying to ease her nervousness and his own.

He nodded again. "Of course, I wouldn't want to do that either. Somewhere casual would be the best. Now we just have to hope they accept it."

Chi-Chi's face feel. She hadn't even considered that they might refuse. She began to grow worried. What if they didn't want to be involved with them? Maybe they figured it was too late to try to be a family now that they didn't need them? She shook her head. She shouldn't think like that. Schu wouldn't think like that, he'd want her to stay positive.
"Where would we go?"
