Yeah Im in the same boat ( being in college). I'm married but people constantly harrass us because I had to go on medicaid for the pregnancy(my insurance just wouldnt cover the 60,000+ medical bills) and for the fact that my son is on medicaid for being premature(this happens automatically if they are under a certain birth weight). Apparantly, I'm stealing from "John Q. Taxpayer" and should have "learned to keep my legs closed". rolleyes I also get alot of "you know he was going to have some disabilities why would you bring suffering into the world yadda yadda yadda" But he's healthy and happy. Don't let those people get you down. Your son looks healthy and happy and Im sure you doing just a good of job raising him as anyone else possibly could.

Yes doctors arn't always right. They told my mom that she would never be able to have a child, yet here I am. She said she was fine through out the whole pregnancy. I was o.k. until awhile latter when I won't eat and had jondece (sp?) but I got over that. See not always right are they? 3nodding Though they did have a hard time raising me when I was little ( I was bit of a trouble maker and couldn't listen or sit still for very long).

I guess my mom was having a lot of complications after I was born because the next child was born premature and died. Her third pregnancy was a rough one..and from what I hear, it was dangerous as well. It got to the point where doctors were encouraging her to abort. There was a risk she could have died....but I guess the risk wasn't big enough for my mom. She gave birth to a girl who would grow up to be my closest friend as well as a great sister, and went on to have three more kids. We're all healthy and doing okay. smile
