Rhydderch Extra Stuff The Winning Post I LOVE CRAZIES!! Username: Seruta Name: Rhydderch "Rhy" Meaning: Rhydderch rh(y)-dder-ch, rhydd(e)-rch as a boy's name is of Welsh origin, and the meaning of Rhydderch is "reddish-brown". Rather common name in the Middle Ages. Personality: Rhydderch is a special case amongst... some quite unusual critters. His parents have both effectively lost their minds... and he knows this. However, he won't openly admit it in their presence and feels as if it's some part his responsibility to act and agree with everything when around them all. This is why the poor guy often finds himself wandering about in the territory alone. using that time to reflect upon his situation and that of his parents - and also get away from the peer pressure of other young wolves he undoubtedly gets. He is a very kind and gentle being with an eagerness to learn everything there is to know about being a wolf - and not a mink... or... whatever his mom thinks she is, either. Prompt Number: Prompt One RP Response: Rhydderch sighed softly to himself as he rolled onto his back in a patch of thick grass. His stomach eagerly welcoming the rays of the hot sun after having woken up in a cool den on a brisk and slightly damp morning. He smiled softly to himself for a moment but quickly found himself piqued and alert to a small shuffle in the grass nearby.
As quietly as he could, he rolled and looked over the top of the swaying blades of green to spot a rabbit not too far away, apparently oblivious that a wolf pup was nearby. The rabbit wasn't one of the ones that lived with him so a soft smirk graced his muzzle before he decided it best to make sure his coast was clear.
He looked around and harumphed upon spotting his father nearby. There'd be no chasing rabbits today. Not while his father was around at least. He was a firm believer that he was a mink and that bunnies made for good children.
Rhy whimpered to himself as he looked between his father and some other nearby wolves that they associated with. Surely his father noticed how similar they looked?! And compared to a mink, he was definitely more so a wolf than one of them. But Rhy knew better than to attempt talking to his father about such a thing. Mink was a Mink. Nothing more, and nothing less. That was the end of that story.
With another soft sigh, Rhy looked to his mother. Her eyes were staring off into the trees again, fixed upon some dark creature she dubbed the Evil One. No one else could see it. Not even Rhy knew hardly anything she babbled on about. But she apparently believed it to be real... Just like Mink believed he was a Mink....
'How come I'm the only one who acts like them?' he asked himself as he looked towards the small group of normal wolves nearby. The rustling in the grass attracted his attention once more as the rabbit practically stopped in front of his paws to nibble on a few clovers that had nestled there. This only made Rhy grumble.
"Well... at least if I ever decide to hunt rabbit when I'm older, I won't have to do much tracking and running to catch it..." he muttered to himself quietly. The rabbit seemed to understand his words and froze, only to squeal in fear as it darted off back to where it had come from. Of course, this was quickly followed by the unmistakable sound of disapproval from his father which made Rhy cringe.
He had plans. Ideas and thoughts of one day venturing off to be a true wolf once he was older... but all those would suffice as thoughts and dreams until then. He decided it best to slink back towards the den, avoiding his father's gaze for the time being.
His stomach gave a rumble and his mouth began to water at the idea of forbidden food and he idly began to wonder what they were going to have today. The smell of food wafted to his nose upon entering the den and he couldn't help but grumble again. It wasn't his favorite, but at least he wouldn't go hungry... His eyes fell to the meal with some small bit of disdain...
Great.... More fish....
