"Don't be foolish." Ignis chided, trying to control his exasperation, he felt his temper fraying at the edges, why did all the females he met lately have to have this irritating noble streak? He had made sure his daughter was well equipped with common sense and strong survival instinct before allowing her to go off on her own, Adrian as well but Sophia Rose was his little girl, and he was much more protective of her, he knew Adrian was well able to handle himself. Sophia Rose knew that if she was in danger or ill, that she was to take care of herself first, or Ignis would know why. Jezabelle was exhausted, and clearly in pain, both from her injuries, he flinched as the guilt snuck up on him again, and from the intensity of her hunger. Her build was slender, but she was clearly underfed. He could count her ribs easily, he had seen her cleaver earlier, but it seemed she wasn't very proficient at hunting with it. Her craving for blood had reached a level where she no longer registered the normal hunger pains of her body, he wondered the last time she had had a full meal. That made him wonder what her history was, all signs seemed to indicate that she was newly on her own, if she had been left as a basket and survived to adulthood without someone looking after her, she would have had to have learned how to feed herself. "I am familiar with your family alright, its a bit more complicated than that, but we don't have time. I need treatment, and you need blood. We both know there's no way you can help me until your cravings have been satisfied and I know full well that there's no way I can make it out of this forest alone in my condition. I need help." He spoke the last through gritted teeth, truth be told, he felt perfectly capable of walking. Most of the bleeding had stopped and although his injuries were debilitating and painful, they were not life threatening. It burned him to have to ask this little sprig of a mare for help, but he could see the only way he could force her to do what was necessary was to give her an altruistic motive. "So take the damn blood already will you!? And lets get out of here, who knows what other unfriendly creatures may have heard my crash landing, they could be closing in on us as we speak."

His words sent a thrill of fear fown her spine, he was right. She had seen evidence of the skinwalkers and kalonas that lived in these woods during her time here although she had yet to run across one. A Kalona they might be able to handle if it was inclined to attack them, but a skinwalker? Or gods forbid, a pure walker. They wouldn't stand a chance in a fight and there was no was Ignis would be able to keep up with her if it came down to a chase.
She glanced at his wounds again, breathing deeply to try and calm the beast inside. The blood was already coagulated and dark across the surface, she only took fresh blood, it was the scent now rather than the sight which was assaulting her and causing her to lose control. "Ignis, I really don't think thats a good idea." He drew himself up, eyes flashing, and opened his mouth to retort but she shook her head quickly to stall him. "I can't take that, its old and... clotted." Her mouth twisted in distaste, "Plus, you've already lost a lot of blood, I don't want to accidentally take more than you can handle losing. Lets just move, we can figure out the rest when we find a safe place to stop."
But Ignis was already shaking his head and moving towards one of the jagged boulders, stained with his blood, that had broken his fall through the forest canopy. He winced and hissed through his teeth as he quickly cut the wounds back open and turned again to face her, a fresh stream of blood flowing down his side and making her pupils dilate as the fragrance teased her senses. Her breaths grew shallower as she stalked closer with a predatory grace, using her nose to guide her steps. "Not Fair!" she murmured distractedly as she approached.
Belle couldn't drink nearly her fill, but when she finally pulled back, the red haze had faded from the edges of her vision and she felt more normal than she had in weeks. No other kind of blood had never eased her thirst as quickly, to think such a small amount of blood had made such a huge difference... Perhaps she was wrong to fight against her natural instincts. "Thank you." she said softly, "For accepting me as I am... Even when I could not. Come, there's a stream near bye, I can guide us there by hearing alone if you will be my eyes. We can rest for the day and I will guide you to the edge of the forest after night falls."

The journey to the stream went slower than expected, they were both exhausted and injured but soon enough e heard the familiar trickle of water over stones. He didn't hesitate at the bank, simply wading straight in until the water was up to his knees and then collapsing to allow the running water to wash away all the dirt and debris from his wounds. Belle rather daintily dipped her nose in the water to wash the blood from her face and the cleaver clenched between her teeth. She then wandered off into the shade of a tree and laying down, resting her head across her folded legs. She seemed to be gazing in his direction through the blindfold. "I am going to rest." she said with a barely concealed yawn, "You should do the same, its a long journey to reach the forest's edge and I doubt you'll want to do it without resting up." Ignis grunted his acknowledgement, he would have slept anyways, but he found her suggestion somewhat patronizing. He was a full grown stallion, he would go to sleep when he decided it was time. She still looked so small and frail though, and he felt bad for tossing her, even if she had deserved it at the time, so he would let it go... Just this once. "Sleep tight Jezabelle, and thank you."
