[CAMP] Azalea Cabin

[Appeal]

There was a jingle that caught the child's attention immediately, her head turning from an eye point downward until she was looking at Ridley by the table. What was she doing? She couldn't see what she was doing but from the corner of her eye she thought she seen an animal run for the door and escape. Cora wouldn't run away, she must be imaging things. So instead she looked over to Jenna and smiled as she looked between Istas and Ridley.

"I'm ten years old," a fact the child was proud to inform them.

Ridley had greet her, and then in a flash, or what seemed to be a flash, she was running for the door and out of her sight. Did she have to pee? The bus ride was pretty long. The child giggled, and turned her attention back to Jenna and Istas.

"Weren't the animals fantastic, Istas? I wonder if we'll see any while we're here!" The child beamed.

Well, that confirmed why she didn't know any of the other girls. She was older than them all by at least two years!

"Well, that explains it! I'm 12." She stated, with a bright smile in place. She'd been a little startled by Ridley leaving so quickly, but she figured the same as Ainsley. It had been a long ride, it was why her mother had told her not to drink before she left for camp and ordered her to at least try and go to the bathroom before they left - just in case. Her mother citing that they wouldn't pull a buss over just so someone could go to the bathroom, not to mention going on the side of the road was a dirty thing.

She was glad she'd listened to her mother. Tuning back into the conversation, as opposed to thinking of how messing/difficult going to the bathroom on the side of the road could be.

"I hope we see more than just birds, maybe something really large." And dangerous!

No, she didn't have to pee. There was a cat outside that could get caught by one of the camp counselors who knew what kind of trouble ********* - and via proxy, Ridley - could get into. Oh wait, there was the cat, not ten feet away from the cabin door. "Oh thank god," Ridley sighed, trotting over to the small cat and soon following her around the corner of their little cabin.

Even though it seemed no one was around, Ridley still looked around before squatting in front of the cat as she talked. Ridley then made a thoughtful face and her eyes darted around, "The boring orange phone?" She parroted, her lips thinning into a line as she shot up. "Crap, I left that in my backpack," Her hands balled into fists for a moment as she excused herself from the cat and ran back into the cabin.

"Ignore me!" She yelled to the other girls, not even minding what ever they were currently talking about. Objective was the bag, which she made a beeline for and started to dig through. Her more awesome iPhone was sadly pushed to the side while she located her sen-shi phone. Once located she pulled it out and made a mad dash back to where ********* was waiting for her.

"Why.. do I need to text Ellie?" She asked the cat upon her return, a few minutes later. But wait, her eyes grew a little larger as she stared at the pitifully lame phone in her hands, "this thing gets reception out here?" Okay, score one for the boring sen-shi phone.

********* was a good and patient feline. She planted her haunches on the ground and waited for the child to run off and then once again return. At least the child had the orange phone with her, which saved ********* from having to figure out another way to contact that blonde tomboy back in the City.

Two questions were asked, and the manx decided to answer them in reverse order. "It would not make a very good tool if it did not get reception, now would it?" With a firm nod, she then explained her reasoning for the text. "Let's just say Ellie has no clue I am out here and I'd like to keep her in the know." The last time ********* had left Ellie without letting her know, she (as Iris) and Metis went hunting for her and Metis nearly had her starseed stolen. Had they stayed put and not worried about her, it would have been better for everyone.

*********, unlike certain blonde tomboys, could learn a thing or two about her past mistakes.

"If you could just let her know that I am with you at a sleep away camp, that would be much appreciated."

Istas looked startled as Ridley walked past them with a loud Ignore me and then walked back out, the child tilted her head and looked weirdly at the other girl as she left. Shaking her head, she had to be seeing things...

There was a small hum where she tried to decide what to do to distract the others. "Want me to show you how I did the tent Jenna?" She asked after a second and small smile. I'd be more than happy to help you.

Lissy was the last one to the cabin but quite a way. She was being escorted by one of the adults who had found her in the office trying to find some form of internet for Peter but she had ran away. She of course had her own plan and so went looking for that bully's cabin only to run into another adult. There were too many adults here and she wasn't overly happy about it!

Luckily for ********* and Ridley they were approaching from the opposite side of the cabin to where they were. Lissy was moaning in a rather loud voice about how camp was there to have fun and that was exactly what she was doing and that she should be nicer to her!

The adult stood at the door until Lissy went in and then turned and left the way they had come.

Entering the cabin was a bit odd, it seemed everyone had at least been here as she noticed all but one bed had been claimed already. Typical... then again Lissy wasn't planning on spending too much time in the cabin!

She noticed Istas and smiled but all the others she didn't know.

"Hi I am Lissy!" She thought she might as well introduce herself as she walked in and dumped her stuff on the remaining bed.

Ainsley definitely hoped to see something bigger than a bird, perhaps something about the size of a bunny! That would make this trip complete for her, to find a village of cute bunnies somewhere around the camp. Perhaps they would talk to her, and tell them all about their lives! She could even introduce Octavian Oswald to them, maybe they'd recognize him as a prince? The more she thought about it, the more she smiled and by the time she turned around to greet Lissy, who was the latest of the girls to arrive, she was all smiles.

"Hello Lissy, my name is Ainsley. It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Hey Ainsley!" Lissy smiled and then looked around the room again at Istas and the other girl.

"So how many are staying in here? Oh and whats everyone looking forward to at camp?" She jumped onto her bed and laid on her front, her legs kicking the air above her as she looked at the other girls. Other enthusiastic was one word for Lissy!

"I can't wait to go swimming in the lake, do you think it will be cold or warm?" Lissy was more then happy to ask a million and one questions. She just loved talking and stuff.  

[Appeal]

Ainsley looked around for a moment, counting the number of beds in the room. The fact there were six didn't mean there would be six girls staying in the cabin, but that meant there couldn't be any more than six. At the moment, five girls had currently been in the cabin including herself. There was Ridley, although she ran out of the cabin before Lissy had gotten there; Istas, Jenna, Lissy and herself. That made five.

"At least five, no more than six," she replied. "Ridley is around here somewhere!"

She took her time thinking about Lissy's other question, wondering just what out of the itinerary of items that had been listed on the brochure that she had read while she was at Sam's house the other week. Improv sounded interesting, and so did arts and crafts. She was shy about it, but Ainsley had been hoping to try dance out as well. She wanted Gwenliana to be proud of her! Maybe she'd be able to convince her sister into letting her try ballet. The thought of swimming seemed to draw all of Ainsley's thoughts to a stop. Ainsley didn't know how to swim. She wanted to go into the water and enjoy it like everyone else! A bit of disappointment lingered on her face, but when she turned to see how excited Lissy was, she smiled.

"I'd like to go swimming, I hope the water isn't too warm or too cold! I was thinking drama would be fun, and I thought I might try out dance too. I hope to make my sister something in arts and crafts as well."

Istas waved at Lissy, "HI Lissy! You just missed Ridley." She giggled with a shake of her head as Ainsley had seemed to space out before answering, there was a small frown and curious glance at Ainsley. She wondered what the girl was thinking about, hopefully not more fairy rabbits.

Istas pondered, "I think it might be just right for swimming..." She said after a few moments, "This is about the time my parents let me go swimming at the pools." She had swimming lessons and it was interesting to take those.

"I'll probably stick with mostly crafts myself, and hiking I think." She paused when Ainsley counted, "I think I saw some other girl that'll probably be in our cabin. There were six names on in the list in the mess hall. I've never seen or heard of the other girl though. Unless she doesn't make it..."

To Ridley's figurings, Ellie didn't really care much about *********. Well, maybe that was a bad way of phrasing it, but it was the best way she could think of it in her head at least. [How it was possible was also beyond the little girl, ********* was a cat. Cats were awesome]. But if ********* was out of the blonde's hair for a while, it didn't seem like Ellie would really look for her or something.

But, ********* asked her to so, it should be done. "Okay," Ridley nodded, tapping the phone to wake it up. An animated gif of Nyan cat greeted her - yes, animated, its possible - and her fingers began locating Ellie's name from the short list that was in the memory of her phone. All that was there was pretty much her team and the other chibi senshi. Oh, and Polaris since she had sent that message that one time.

'Took ********* to camp with me. will be back in 2 weeks.' Was the message she wrote. "Done," she announced, not looking up from the phone just yet. Yup, sure enough... full bars. Now, how to exploit this.

Six girls in one cabin? Wow that was quite a lot. Lissy looked around at the beds and agreed that yes there were six beds but only five here? Ah maybe she wasn't the last one here after all!

"Ridley?" She looked as Istas looking slightly confused. "She one of the girls staying with us?" She pondered wondering who Ridley was but she then quickly turned back to Ainsley.

"Swimming? I can't wait to go swimming can you all swim? I want to be a famous swimmer when I am bigger!" Lissy adored swimming and it was one of those rare things that would turn her into a delightful child that loved talking about things they enjoyed.

"Hiking could be fun!" Lissy agreed with Istas on that one... crafts not so much much!  

[Appeal]

"Ridley is a classmate of ours," she replied. It was kind of strange that the three girls had been in the same class together, happened to all go to the same camp, but no one seemed to think anything of it, including Ainsley. If anything, it was wonderful that they didn't have to spend the two weeks getting to know each other and instead just enjoy their time together and perhaps even bond closer.

Oh. Lissy asked the dreaded question and Ainsley froze. It didn't occur to her to lie, but she really didn't care to express the fact that she didn't know how to swim even though she was ten years old. It was something ten year olds just knew how to do! Meekly and a bit stubbornly, the child shook her head instead of replying.

It was Ridley's steps and especially her loud scream that woke the little turkish van up. The cabin's floor wasn't the most sound-resistant floor in the world and Cora's ears were more sensitive than humans so sound coming from her steps was humming in her ears, even after she was fully awake. The cat yawned a long yawn, closing her eyes as she did so. In the middle of the yawn, she felt a different kind of feeling. Something was tickling her nose and no matter how hard she was trying to resist it, she couldn't keep herself silent anymore.

"Achoo!"

It was coming from under Ainsley's bed. If anyone happened to peek at there, they would meet a fluffy creature and it's eyes that lightly glowed in the dark.

********* smiled and nodded. "Much appreciated, Ridley!" With that she rose up to all four paws, then began to pad away slightly.

"Thank you very much. I'll be working on getting myself better acquainted with the camp grounds now. I'll see you later, Ridley!"

With that, the cat ran off in another direction.
