104. Okay. REMEMBER THAT!
"Oh ho?" Bix perked. Before thought one of the girls was hot? JUST ONE? "Which one? Maybe I have.. different standards. I thought a lot of them were cute." When he was Ferdinand none of the hot girls every looked at him. He always dated the 'cute girls' or the 'good personality' girls... and they always treated him like a servant. It wasn't all bad though. "I.. .. didn't expect Boss to be so..." Leggy? Attractive? All around hawt yet still BOSS?
He was kinda into that.

"KINDA-HOT, okay? KINDA-hot!!" Before insisted a tad too loudly. He was absolutely certain his face was beet red right about now and he was suddenly wishing very, very, very hard that he had his gas mask back on to hide what was a spectacular blush. "E-eh, most of them are kinda cute, and girly I guess," his lips were pursed in thought. Even as Milton he'd given up hope that a girl most guys (or society) considered hot or smoking or drop dead gorgeous would never give him the time of day. Or at least was unable to look past his family's wallet and his general Milton-ness to really see him.
"Boss to be so...? What? Svelte? Slender? Willowy?" he asked, rattling off all manner of adjectives he thought could physically apply to the female Beta.

"Umm.." Bix blushed too when Before rattled off the many applicable words for Boss. "Yeah I guess. All of those things. IS IT HER?" He'd not admitted to who it was yet! "SO you don't like the girly girls.. huh? I guess other than looking female we don't know anything about any of them though.."
Bix scratched his head but started to rub his arms as a breeze kicked up. Maybe they should go in? They were still loitering outside and Bix had no shirt on. He was dirty and his pants were also tattered. He turned and walked inside, slow enough so Before knew to come along. "I think I am older than some of them... quite a few actually. How come it's so damn hard to tell girls ages?!"

There is a look of SUPREME CONFUSION on Before's face. It apparently wants to make the teal-eyed Beta's face its home. "Is it her who? What? Are we still talking about Boss?" ?_? "I-it's not that I don't like girly girls. They're really pretty and stuff. And most, okay, all of them can kick my a** and wipe the floor with me," he pouted sourlyas he followed after Bix into his room.
(Note to self: Check Bix's room number before you go to yours after.) "Dude, never ask a girl her age," Before stated sagely, it was uncharacteristically good advice coming from him. "I have. Like a dozen times. It never ends well. Except like once, but that's because my babysitter was pulling the age card on me," as he said this, he made a face XP
It was hard to believe Before was a college student from the way he was acting. He fit better in High School. Or maybe Middle School.

"I remember when I was a senior in high school.." They were moving down the dorm corridors now. Bix wasn't sure if Before was going back to his own room or visiting his. He slowed when they got close to 104 but Before didn't seem to quite acknowledge it. "The freshman girls would come in and they would be like... " He made a big boobs pantomime with his hands. "Like BAM! And it was soooo wrong!"
"I wouldn't! I mean I have.. yeah and totally regretted it." He rubbed his cheek as if remembering the last instance he asked a woman her age. "How old are you, by the way?" Asking dudes was TOTALLY okay.

Before just made an immature snicker at the phantomime, "Hey, you'd have been jailbait too when you were still in high school. But is it still jailbait if you and the girl are both not-legal? Or or or if the girl was like eighteen and the guy was seventeen is that still jailbait?"
Whatever pensive expression Before might have had switched with a proud grin, "Totally legal to drink and gamble, bro!" he declared, poking his own chest with his thumb as they passed room 104. "How old is Boss though? Or After? I mean, don't judge a book by its cover and stuff but man he looks young. That Hannah girl too. Tika though," proud grin just switched to goofy embarssed grin.

"Maybe everything goes on this island." Bix snickered a bit with Before. "If we are all out there murdering monsters together age can't matter too much." Unless some badass infant showed up. Just the thought made him snort to himself. It was followed up by a sneeze.
"Sweet me too!" It was good to know that his bro Before was at least the same age as him. "That one girl Cass.. she's got some.." he made the boob motion again. "but I think she's young. Too young to be making out with that.." tough, good looking guy? He didn't even know her and he wasn't jealous but her certainly had a thing against ANY guy that was bigger, better looking or more successful than himself. "Tika? The badass looking... OHHHHHHH."
He clapped his hand over his mouth and danced around in the hallway a bit, pointing at Before. "OHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

"Cass? Oooooh, splodey-head-girl! Yeah, she's um," he snickered at the depiction of her assets, "She's definitely that. Making out? With who? I think I did hear Boss saying something about someone making out. It was her and who?" He'd been bandaged and blind and only regained his sight thanks to Bix. As expected of his bro. d*w*b
Before, however, did not expect Bix to come to the conclusion that he mighta sorta kinda maaaaaybe though Tika was cute and that she really rocked that hardcore hairdo. This was no insult to Bix. Before was not really skilled in the art of subtlety. Even his attempt at changing subjects was a blatant attempt to segue into something else. "Legals!" Before cheered enthusiastically, outstretching his fisted hand for a fist-bump. "Maybe the bar slash lounge slash hang-out room we went to when we died is here! It was stocked with choice booze."

"Oh. You were blind." Bix blinked, having forgotten. He'd almost forgotten the horrific experience they had just had. One that he should be more mad about. But things with this place were never what they seemed. This whole thing could be some simulation too! "Cass she and this guy.. umm Marcus." He tugged his own bangs. "Has a white streak. They just started face sucking in the middle of the monster fight."
They'd come up to Bix's room. Right under the room number there was a big white piece of paper with BIX written in big black letters. He popped open the door to reveal an identical dorm to everyone else in the building. The only difference was a few more books on the shelf that he'd brought with him. His clothing and bag were packed neatly away. Apparently in the 5 minutes he'd had the room he'd already unpacked and arranged everything.
"You think we can paint our walls?"

Before snickered again, "You know, if the whole eval thing was real, and we were in like, one of those survival horror movies, those two'd be one of the first to die." Was Before genre savy? Nah, but he'd heard enough pop culture references to know the basics. "'Course, I'd be the first to go. I mean, the comic relief usualy goes first, don't they?" he hmmm'd, pursing his lips in deep thought.
"This your place?" He asked suddenly, noticing the BIX sign. State the obvious, Before, just state the obvious :/ "Dunno if we can. Should we ask? I mean, I don't wanna make Boss-dude-Caelius mad or something. Ignorance not an excuse and all... But if we are, I totes offer you my help!"

"He doesn't exactly seem like a 'decorate your dorms craft time' kind of guy. They can't expect all these people, especially young people, to just sit around here like it's prison though. Hell, even in prison they get TVs!" He frowned and sat on the edge of his bed. His closet door was securely shut and his desk had nothing on it but his old wallet. The single remnant of whoever he was before now. It had a few dollars, some family pics, even his old prom picture. Of course his license and college ID where also stuffed in there. All of it seemed really unimportant now.
His bookshelf was empty except for about 10 large hardcover comic books and 4 beaten up paperback novels. There was a used black and white composition book but that had been here when he arrived.
"I brought comic books.. if you ever want to borrow them." He pointed to the shelf. "Kind of nerdy right? Well I guess comics have had a come back the last few years but.." he trailed off, the old dorky feeling creeping back. "I totally didn't bring extra shoes just so I could pack my comics." And he spent a bazillion years tearing himself up inside over which 10 he'd want to read over and over, possibly forever.

Before pursed his lips in thought, "Weeeeell nah, he really doesn't look the type. Actually he looks like he's got a stick up his a**. Sideways even!" He added with a bit of an immature snigger. "But this place seems waaaaaay strict. Better not do a Thom Filicia until we get a better idea of the way stuff's run, yeah?" @ 3@'a Yes, Before totally watched that show.
Fat lot of good it did him. Even if it was way ******** entertaining.
"Oooooh!! Comics! Yeah, I'd love to read some of them!!!!" 8DDDDD "What kind you bring? Lemme see what stuff I have we could trade!"
Before brought a smattering of assorted things. Random things, really. Clean underwear. A box of band-aids (ahahaha, he was totally going to need a lot more if today's training was any indication of what was to come). Some mystery novels, some suspense-thriller novels, some romance novels (THOSE ARE NOT HIS! HOW THE ******** DID THEY GET THERE?!), he totally doesn't remember if he brought a comic book or a graphic novel. Oh well, Bix will set him straight! "And I thought comic books were more geeky than nerdy? Isn't being nerdy more of a focus on the Academics and Higher Learning and s**t?" he asked with a tilt of his head.

"Mostly DC and Marvel stuff.." He hopped up and pulled out a book or two. "Like this is the Ultimates. They re-did the Marvel universe as if superheroes came about in modern times instead of the 40's and 50's. It's pretty badass. Cap'n America uses a gun and stuff.. But I have books too. Like Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit." He could read the Hobbit a million times over and over again.
"I'll read anything though. I hope we can swap!" Though he'd lend Before anything he wanted anyway. Thankfully if he got his hands on a romance novel, he'd ask no questions and read it anyway. He'd probably like it too!
"Geek.. nerd.. whatever." Bix waved a hand. "I am all of those things. I did good in school and I like anime and comics and video games.." Weren't they all the qualifications? "New start here though. I can be more badass if I want. Me and you bro!"
He held his hand up for a fist pound.. or a high five.. his hand wasn't in any distinguishable shape for you to know ahead of time. This interaction would most likely be failed.. and awkward.

"Dude, that is so awesome you found yourself," Before sighed in awe ;_; "I've gone through a lot of reinventions and, well, nothing really quite stuck. Except, y'know, the whole shooting-things-when-I-didn't-mean-to and winning Darwin awards. But yes! I shall trade with you and take very good care of your things! And by that I mean I'll just come over here to read them while you're around." Clearly, the teal-eyed young man didn't want to risk damaging anything that was his Bro's.
At the gesture, Before stared intensely as he tried to figure out which it was. Bix needn't worry about being awkward. Awkward was Before's middle name! (Well, actually it's really Percy but Bix didn't have to know that.) To be safe, Before raised both hands, one prepped for a fist-bump, the other a high five! BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!!! *w*

"I wouldn't say I've found myself..." He snorted. "I'm still figuring it out I think. I just hope everyone is cool here. I don't want it to be like... high school or something." High school was probably his worst time in life. "Maybe you should just accept yourself. You might have a better time." He flicked at Before's long ponytail that hung over his shoulder. "I like you just fine this way."
Fist bump was the winner! And they didn't miss!
Bix bumped fists with Before and grinned. "Well I trust you if you want to take them to your dorm. Be prepared for me to drop by constantly. I get bored pretty quickly. Especially with no computer."
