Yeah, things were definitely awkward. And it just hit him that Arthur and Thackery would probably kill him for getting close to a kitsune without them. Cue slight dread mixed with more embarrassment as he shuffled his feet slightly, tail between his legs. "I'm just... uh, glad you're okay now!" Since it was kind of his fault because he had said that he wanted to see her ability and all...
"Chichiue?" He queried, as his ears perked up as well. "Is that another kitsune?" She had said it was a he though, but oh well, it was okay, because a ghoul totally could have a platonic relationship with a boil. He didn't need to think that he might not stand a chance because of that! Besides, he did need to make more friends, and Tomoko's friends were probably really nice as well.

Tomoko's head tilted just a bit when he asked about...

Another blush of embarrassment came over her face. "Ah! I'm sorry for the confusion!" she bowed a bit to emphasize this, "Chichiue is how I refer to my father." She corrected - probably something that would be a great relief to Erebus to hear. "So yes, he is also a kitsune. My Hahaue- my mother - is one as well." She was 100% kitsune. Probably more than 100% kitsune. 1000000000% kitsune. At least, she was relatively sure no other race had ever been introduced to their clan.
Likely because of competition with the other clan (she'd written Remi a post it note anyways).
"And then I have to younger siblings as well. It's a pretty full house." she smiled brightly at the mention of the two siblings, seeming quite smitten with them. Probably her favorites. But if anybody ever accused her of having a favorite, she'd deny it.

"Aaaah." Erebus' shoulders sagged in relief, and his tail perked up, giving a slight wag at this news. And she was pure kitsune. And was probably related to that kitsune in that story... he wondered if there was any way to verify it. Though if it could, wouldn't his family have mentioned it before? Or was it because some of them were affronted at the kitsune being indirectly the cause of the incident that they did not want anything to do with the kitsune's family?
"Having siblings is great." Erebus bobbed his head in utter agreement. He sympathized that only children didn't understand what it would be like to have siblings. That and how others could not be close to their own siblings was an entirely a foreign concept to him. "Like my brothers, but well, having triplets is kind of a family thing."

She was so pure kitsune she probably had a pedigree somewhere. Though if she did, she didn't know about it. If she were to be asked about the story, however, she probably wouldn't have had an answer to give him. The history of the two warring clans was confusing enough without worrying about where her family could have run off to.
Well, she probably wouldn't know. Because she hadn't been there.
"Siblings are wonderful. I'm glad they have each other to play with while I'm away. I don't know what Touya would do without Rinne helping him out." Oh, her shy awkward baby brother. It was fortunate that her baby sister was a bit more bold about things.
"Oohh, triplets? That's such a nice thing. Three is quite a nice number." her tails seemed to wag just the slightest bit in agreement. "I think three would be the perfect number of children, actually." she admitted, laughing a bit. Though the idea of actually ending up married and having children ever hadn't really set in with her. Not outside of that childish idea of playing house.

"That's good." Erebus beamed at the thought of two little kitsunes playing together, tail wagging. "I wouldn't know what to do without my brothers." He admitted. If even one out of the three of them had the misfortune to be rejected by Amityville, the rest of them would have never attended the Academy. Not that that would have happened, with their reputation and all, but in the slim chance that it did, brothers had to stick together, no matter what.
"Yeah, it is." Then again, he didn't really have a choice, did he? If he settled down in the future, his family had imposed a strict three children policy. That or multiples of threes. "And oh hey, you have three tails too!" Yeah, he just noticed. Way to go, Erebus.

Tomoko just liked the number three. There wasn't even some outside force not giving her a choice in the matter. She just liked it.
"Yes! Yes I do. Sometimes a kitsune will get as many as nine tails...but you have to be really special to do that..." her voice had this slight...droop...in it. Clearly, Tomoko didn't think she was that special. By comparison to her siblings, however, she was a very slow grower, so maybe she just wasn't.
Not that she'd convince herself of that. She didn't have the negativity required of it.
"Three tails, maybe someday three kids....only one husband though." she nodded firmly. Not that it had to be a husband, but she'd never actually considered ghouls as an option. "Lots of threes. I can't help it. It's a nice number.
