There was a momentary jingling of her bell as she shook her head from side to side. "I don't think I'd be a practical addition to your backpack in all honesty, nor would I be a practical addition to any sort of camp." There was also the fact that ********* had a job to do, and going to a day camp was not a part of the To do list.

********* obviously wasn't seeing the brilliance of this idea. Ridley threw in the few bits of clothing her little fingers were holding and placed her fists on her hips. "Of course you would!" She exclaimed, trying to sound like she knew what she was talking about. Of course, she had no other reasons to give the cat aside from the incredibly entertaining aspect it presented.
There would be senshi and possible teammates at this camp. But did these cross Ridley's mind? No, not really. "Why does it have to be practical for you to come? Why not fun, you have fun right, *********?" The little girl was now pretty much pleading with the cat. Yup, begging a cat. What a way to go.

"I still need to locate three members of our team. Going off into the middle of nowhere for... however long you are going to this sleep away camp... would be that amount of time wasted." Of course, she was explaining this to a child, and a child who acted like she had ADHD at times. It was always a wonder if any of this information ever got through.

Ridley eyes narrowed in thought as her lips pushed together. Her hands had begun to move back to throwing more clothing into her bag until the thought that hadn't crossed her mind finally made its way through. It was like a light went off in her head.
"But, what if there are teammates at camp?" She had to offer. Would this make ********* want to come? It could be a possibility. "I think its a lot of kids my age but there are older people doing all the activities and looking out for us and stuff. You found me at the mall, why not find someone in the woods?"
Well, here's to hoping one of their senshi team mates isn't a serial killer who lives in the woods.

"The chances that another senshi will be up there is actually very slim, Ridley. It would be easier for me to stick with a more densely populated area." ********* was still very attentive, ears perked and eyes focused on the child.
"You should make sure to have fun though. Think of it as a vacation from being a senshi if you'd like." The cat smiled a bit, knowing one senshi who would probably benefit from such a vacation.

This totally wasn't working well in her favor, even Ridley could figure that out. She frowned as another shirt was put into her suitcase, followed by a clump of shorts. "I haven't really done much as a sen-shi though, so how is that a vacation?" It was true, aside from her initial transformation and the incident at school... she hadn't really powered up.
And she hoped the idea of more girls at camp would be a good piece of bait. Another change of tactics maybe? But what could prompt ********* to go along after all? Think, Ridley... think!
But.... nothing really came to mind, "Fine!" She sighed, defeated. "You'll just miss the really awesome woods and campfire songs and smores that we get to make and the camp food that Conner said is super awesome and amazing 'cause its like made differently or something. And the canoes and the arts and crafts, though I'm not sure how much of those I'm going to do because its boring but.. could be kind of nice..." Ridley's voice trailed off as she thought of other activities she was aware of.
She moved from her suitcase, pretty much now packed, and moved to her backpack. She shuffled through it, taking out a few school related items she didn't need and began replacing them with those she would take to camp. "Oh hey, I have some cookies in here..."

*Today's password is "cookies."
The cat nodded her head as the child mentioned how she hadn't really done much in the way of being a senshi. "Think of it as a preemptive vacation?" There was a pause before the manx added thoughtfully "A vacation you take ahead of time because you know you'll be in your senshi uniform more in the future."
Being the busy body that she was, the cat followed along as the girl moved from the suitcase to the backpack, keeping to the edge of the bed as to not upset Pris anymore. "All of those things sound lovely, Ridley, but I still have my..."
*Someone said the password
The cat's words were cut off quite quickly as she heard the mention of food in the immediate area. Without even waiting for the child to acknowledge her, the cat pretty much jumped into the backpack. No permission. She was just in there to locate the cookies.

Pris gave a low warning type whine when ********* started to invade upon her space. Ridley really gave her no mind, knowing full well where the sound was coming from and why. The cat made the same sound when Dodger first started invading such personal bubbles. The next noise was surprising though, Pris didn't huff often aside from maybe at birds...
Ridley turned back to the bag, surprised when it shifted and crinkled a little but as the small manx moved within it. If she was clever enough, she would have zipped it right then and there, to keep her in the bag until they were off camping. The little girl just stared there surprised before moving forward to peer into the bag. "Does this mean you're coming?" She asked, daring to sound delighted.

Alas, ********* was brutally honest.
"...where are those cookies you mentioned? I'm hungry." Despite how demanding the statement might have seemed, the manx had a way of just saying it so pleasantly that it sounded almost polite. However, raiding a child's backpack in an effort to get herself a snack probably wasn't really all that polite.

Her initial question didn't get answered, did that mean it qualified for a yes? Ridley made up her mind that yes, ********* lack of response totally meant she was coming now.
"It's...." She blinked and peered more into the bag, trying to fit a hand in to try to find where that bag of cookies had gone. They were so right there! "*********, are you sitting on them?" There wasn't much more room in the bag now that the cat was there.
Pris, it should be noticed, was not pleased. Not one bit. Her eyes narrowed into slits and her paw reached out again, her fingers flexing. Attention was diverted to another cat, this was not right.

"If I'm sitting on them, then they make a decent chair or cushion... but probably better food than any of those objects combined!"
The cat attempted to squirm to move, but there really wasn't a lot of room for her to move in the first place. However, she stopped in her tracks and her ears perked up.
Someone was coming.

Someone indeed. There was a knock against the doorway to Ridley's room, making the orange haired girl's head shoot up instantly with wide eyes. Monica was taken a little aback by her daughter's caught in the headlight's look.
"You okay, sweetie?" She asked cautiously as she made her way into the room to survey the girl's progress. Obviously Monica wasn't as she began to fold the clothes stuffed into the bag. Ridley didn't say a peep and if she had any sense she would have left the bag with ********* in it well alone. Instead her hands clasped on the zippered ends, closing and blocking any escape route for the manx. To make matters worse, her arms were pushing the bag down against the bed as if trying to make it flat and inconspicuous.
Pris made a sound.
Monica eyed her daughter for a moment as she folded a few more shirts and replaced them in the bag. "Well, be ready to leave in about fifteen, okay? I put a few snacks on the counter that you can take along with you, okay?" Now a pair of shorts were folded and again, Pris made a desperate sound.
Human, the child has another cat! The Maine Coon was trying to say.
"Aaaw, I think Pris is going to miss you," Monica cooed, reaching across the pack to brush her fingers over the cat's soft head. "Animals can sense these things and I don't think she wants you to go."
The cat would have ideally protested such remarks, but the petting was so nice... but the cat. But the petting. Her Ridley was going away with another cat and it wasn't fair.... but the petting. Pris dissolved into a pile of purring.
"I'm not going to be gone that long." Ridley found her voice again, still not letting go of her death grip on the bag. ********* could not be found! ".... but can I add a few more snacks?"
"Exactly how long do you think the drive is to the camp?" Monica asked, pulling her hand away from Pris, who was back to being an unhappy camper.
"....." Ridley was never good with lying. God, she was drawing a blank! "I wanted to..." Think child, think! "share some with friends?" That.. could work.
Monica stared at her daughter for a moment, "Alright but not too many." She smiled, running a hand through her daughter's orange hair. "And hurry up, okay?"
"'kay!" Ridley smiled, still gripping the bag.

********* was in a backpack.
A closed backpack.
And here the cat did not have any opposable thumbs to assist her in reopening the bag.
The cat sighed somewhere in that bag. It seemed as if she was going to be spending some time away from Destiny City. Settling in, the cat couldn't help but think When life gives you lemons...
********* knew what to do with those lemons.
