Peter sputtered as his phone was taken from him, frowning, unimpressed, up at the teenager responsible. "If there's no signal, then why bother taking it? I'm using the calendar to make sure I get to each event, and an alarm clock to get up in the morning," he pointed out, indicating guy could look at it if he wanted. Of course, he'd only added the morning alarms to it because he'd had nothing better to do on the bus. He could always take them off, later.

"And why are you getting on me for having a phone, when they", he turned to the side, indicating the three other children, "Look like they're about to get into a fight, calling each other names and Lissy having to step between them." Peter frowned up at Finn, looking him over with his judging ten-year-old eyes, "Are you really a counselor? Because your priorities are kind of off."

Seriously... Little kids... about to push each other around... and he goes after the one with the phone? Well, there was another guy there, breaking things up, but he didn't really think this other guy should focus on him when he clearly needed to help break up fighting or whatever.

He took his phone back when it was handed to him, quickly shoving it into his pocket so Finn couldn't get it back if he changed his mind. "Yeah right," Peter grumbled, highly doubting there was anything he couldn't learn just as well and more from wikipedia. Just as long as the sources used were legit.

Lily hopped off of the bus with a smile on her face. She had enjoyed the ride and had spent much of it up and down the isles singing road trip songs and playing silly games with the kids. She wanted to make sure they did not get to rowdy of restless and she thought she had succeeded. She was so excited for this camping experience, not so much the outdoors part, but getting to do campfire songs and swimming and crafts. Her parents had signed her up for it, their way of getting her out of Destiny City for a while, with warning to be careful and watch her shoulder. She readily agreed.

She stretched ushering kids of the bus and helping to round them up while waving happily at familiar faces. She literally lit up when she saw Sam waving excitedly to him. "Hey Sam," she called before turning back to a camper who managed to trip already.

This was nice, she though as she smoothed out her white shirt grinning at her red emblem. She looked around while the campers talked scanning the crowd for junior and senior counselors she knew.

When Paris had allowed himself to be convinced to volunteer at camp, he hadn’t thought it would make his life quite so difficult. How hard could it be? It was simply of matter of keeping track of children – which he didn’t think would be hard considering they were practically in the middle of nowhere; where else could the kids possibly go? – and continuing his efforts to hide his true gender from Chris, minor as those efforts now were with Chris being so interested and terribly easy to fool. This was supposed to be easy. It was supposed to be fun. It wasn’t supposed to stress him out and make him think all this was more trouble than it was worth.

How was he supposed to hide it here????

The children he didn’t mind. There were plenty of loud, rambunctious kids that lived on his street, running around and causing trouble. The whole outdoors things wasn’t so bad either, even if it wasn’t necessarily his kind of nature – he preferred water and sand to trees and dirt. But the fact that he was having to go out of his way to hide certain bits of information from Chris, when things had become so easy between them over the last couple of weeks, really put him on edge. The stress was more than he felt like dealing with considering how many other distractions there would no doubt be while he was here.

If he didn’t actually like sort of semi-dating Chris – he was good looking and he did seem to have a lot of money at his disposal – Paris would have just let things unravel and deal with it as it came. But he was having fun with him, and he’d let it go on too long to tell him now. He suspected it would meet an ugly end if Chris found out, and then were would he be?

Companionless -- and moneyless -- at camp with the children and the bugs.

Paris stepped off of the bus with as much of a smile plastered onto his dolled-up face as possible, his camp shirt tucked into a black skirt, and a pair of heeled sandals on his feet. The ride hadn’t been quite so bad, though a little too bumpy for his liking. The singing had actually been quite enjoyable – he’d made sure to sing along and lead a few tunes while texting Chris and updating him on how close they were. His phone signal didn’t last long into the wilderness, however, and then he had nothing to do but monitor the kids and sing, sing, sing. While he’d never been to camp before, he had a surprising supply of camp songs in his repertoire, most likely due to the constant replaying of cassette tapes full of children’s songs during childhood. He supposed he could thank his mother for that stroke of luck.

“Be careful stepping out!” he warned his kids, holding his clip board and making sure there wasn’t any pushing and shoving as the children descended in a mad rush. “Grab your bags! No pushing! There isn’t any rush!” It was sort of nice to see them so excited. At least someone had something to look forward to.

This was going to be the death of him.

Eve was an amazing negotiator.

Especially with people she was close to. She knew exactly how to push their buttons, and it had taking only a few minutes of whining and the classic puppy dog eyes coupled with a pout to convince Lucy to come along. He needed it. He severely needed a tan, needed to get out of the house more, especially now that he was part of the night life. And besides, coming to camp meant taking some time off patrolling right? She certainly needed it.

And he would be thankful to her for this opportunity too! Heh! As the kids started to arrive, Eve Summers headed out to do her job, giving her cabin roommate, Adira, a friendly wave as she passed, making a beeline for a certain blond counselor. And he was already trying to stop a skirmish! Not bad, Lucy!

"Listen to him, kids." She pipped up, resting an arm casually on Lucy's shoulder. "Or Mr Boring here will make you do something boring for the rest of camp. Trust me. You're all here for fun, aren't you? No one wants to be locked in a cabin and forced to read or something when you can play!" Using her other arm, she gestured out to the campsite behind her and then gave the little boy one of her nicest smiles.

And then, "Oi, you haven't seen Mr Boring Number 2, have you?" A question directed right at Lucy, wondering exactly where the dark-haired boy with the perpetual scowl was about. It was strange that he would be here actually; Eve didn't think that Seth was the type that remotely liked kids.

Istas' eyes widened as Billy came up, she should've known he was going to come over. Lissy was there not long after, "Hi..." She said almost shy like as Lissy stood in between her and Billy, "You don't have to do that." She watched Lucien as he came over, and the child's eyes grew larger. Camp was going to be a long two weeks, she frowned softly hopefully it was mostly a fun two weeks...

Billy looked over at Lucien, "We're just saying hi, right guys?" He said with a grin, not paying mind to Lissy, she was just getting in his way. His posse seemed to shrink a little when another counselor came over edging their way back to the counselor they'd come with leaving Billy behind and one other.

When Genevieve came over Istas jumped, looking at the other counselor, her butter yellow eyes were wide with embarrassment or the fact she was afraid she was going to get into trouble it was hard to tell. She automatically started shrinking back behind Genevieve though, it would be safer behind an adult right? "I-I'm okay." She replied softly not sure what to do.

She heard Griffin calling their names, "Lissy, we're being called... we should line up.." She wanted this to be over with, why did Billy have to be so dumb? She watched Peter walk past them trying to get cell phone coverage, there was a small sigh. Then he tried to send another counselor their way, her face was turning red now. She wanted to tell him the other two already had it handled, they didn't need anyone else to make the situation worse than what it was, she planned on going and curling up in her cabin bunk under the covers as soon as they found out where they were staying. Istas saw Eve coming too and she frowned even more, oh god they were in trouble and it was only the first day.

Billy rolled his eyes, it was funny to see curly ears look like a trapped mouse but the adults had to go and ruin it all. "Ha, anyways... I'll see you later Curly ears." He grabbed the last posse member and decided to stroll off. "Since apparently the adults think we're just going to cause trouble." He shot a glance at Lucien and Genevieve as they walked off. Billy scowled even more when he saw and heard Eve, so the blonde was a boring guy; not cool.

The parking lot is an utter mess. Kids are screaming, singing, and running all over the place. Junior Counselors, eager to do their job and do it correctly have unsuccessfully attempted to round up their kids. That's just how kids are isn't it? Brats!

With a swarm of people this size (there is an unknown amount of campers, it is safe to assume it's roughly 100), the chatter of everyone around makes it hard to hear anything other than what is close to you. Moving is a difficult task by itself even, children are simply everywhere: blocking paths and demanding food from all the counselors. Counselors want to do their jobs well and impress the Head Counselor, but it seems only a mega phone is going to be able to catch everyone's attention. There's only one megaphone and it belongs to the Head Counselor.

((Counselors attempt to calm your kids all you like, some might listen to you, some might not! You can always give up and look around in frustration for our dearly loved Head Counselor , Gently. She's around here... somewhere...

Watch out for any Shouts posted by Lith or LP. They may be important, or merely amusing!

ALSO- I forgot that Bebe is glamorized! My bad! Who is this Bebe you speak of! There's only Emily.))

Castille was one of the last counselors off of the bus. She was making sure no one left anything behind, and so far, the joy of camp seemed to have made them forget quite a bit. She smiled as she picked up a stuffed dinosaur. She loved summer camps.

Something about the fresh air, lack of electronic entertainment and simple tasks that brought happiness to kids made her smile. People needed to be reminded tat there were easier ways to have fun than sit in front of a computer all day.

Plus the events gave her a chance to do some action photography. Maybe it would make it into the camp brochure next year!

Her arms full of random toys, books and more than one jacket, she stumbled off of the bus and walked to where the largest group of campers was. She would find her fellow cabin mates (She was is Hemlock right?) and the kids whos names sat on her list buried beneath the stuff she held later. (Guen, Odette, Leah Derounen, Erika Adalsteinn)

It was noisy! Kids were saying hi to eachother, teenagers were yelling to get their attention so they could line up. Castille was short, how on earth was she supposed to get people's attention?

Her answer lie on a fallen tree trunk off to the side of the parking lot. She took her pile of things, placed it by the tree trunk and stood on it.

"ANYONE WHO WAS ON BUS FOUR, COME OVER HERE AND PICK UP YOUR STUFF!" she shouted as loudly as she could. It was a good thing she did volleyball.

Camp camp camp camp camp camp camp.

Sorrin was wound up like a spring ready to burst. Since he heard the camp would be ran again he was more then excited to arrive. It had been well over a year since he had last been around one. Back when 'The Boat Trip That Shall Not Be Mentioned' happened, of course he wasn't sure if Elzo would be at the camp this year, but he figured Elzo or not this trip was going to be one hell of a good way to unwind over the summer.

Especially after all the other things that had been going on.

Quickly he pushed aside thoughts of Beth, of Lyra, the Negaverse and everything else. Sure his pen was stuffed among his bags, but that was also among bags of water balloons a few water guns, smoke bombs and stink bombs. One of the two dufle bags slug over his shoulder was nothing BUT 'supplies' for causing trouble while at camp.

Wandering along he turned to face Eve and Mr. Boring (Never mind his real name, if he was what the girl claimed he was going to be target number one for water balloon raids). "No cabin shall hold any camper prisoner! Lord Boring will have no rule over this summer camp!"

There were now at least two other counselors crowded around the same group of kids, and Finn didn't feel like arguing the phone issue. It had been put away and Peter would realize it was useless soon enough. Lord Boring and Eve seemed to have this little corner of the world under control, anyways.

At least until Sorrin showed up. "There will be plenty of time for that later," said Finn jovially, because he was just against boredom as the next person, "But right now we'd better shut up and pay attention. Marching orders and all that."

He raised a hand high over his head and grinned impishly at the crowd of children milling around. "OY, MIDGETS, QUIET."

-----------------------

Leah Derouen winced at the sound of her brother's voice, but fell quiet at her place beside Cass, anyways. As long as no one figured out she was related to the oafish senior counselor, this summer would be as painless as possible.

Her plan was to let everyone else scramble for their bags - it would be easier to find her old camp duffle once everyone else had cleared out.

Jenna still was in shock over the fact her parents had sent her away. Somehow, it felt like they'd been trying to get rid of her. They'd pushed the idea onto the twelve year old until she decided it was a good idea, she could make lots of friends. She had only been planning on getting her parents to take her to the zoo, multiple times, the aquarium, and an amusement park, again multiple times, this summer.

She hadn't seen the big sigh of relief from her parents as she'd boarded the bus to camp either. Had she seen that she may have decided to stay behind, and she could kick up a big enough fuss no one would have been able to get her to go to camp.

Jenna had spent the whole bus ride to the camp singing, at the top of her lungs. If only she hadn't had someone sitting next to her, keeping her pressed to the window, she'd have been on her feet bouncing around as she belted out songs.

Of course this behavior, energy, couldn't be why her parents had decided to let someone else have their daughter for a few weeks. Right? They were planning a vacation of their own, had been since Jenna had agreed to go to camp.

Bouncing off the buss Jenna took one look around and pulled a face. Nature, and it seemed boring. But hey! At least there were lots of other people, children, around that she could make friends with and find things to do with, take this to mean get in trouble with. But first she had to find her bag. That was what had her searching all around, ignoring the others around her for the moment.

"Now where is my bag..." It was a fairly large bag that was bright orange in color. She'd made sure to get something bright, so it'd stand out and not get lost.

The bigger problem with Sorrin is that while he was here, he was also a Jr. Counselor. Though it hardly showed besides his shirt which was covered by another t-shirt on top. Grinning towards Finn he lifted his top t-shirt just enough to show the counselor one under it.

"Please, someone said I couldn't be a camper but told me I could come if I counseled, I get to give those orders just as much as Lord Boring, and with me I promise this camp will be anything but boring." Though he did let out a chuckle at the order of QUIET MIDGETS, Finn was already earning points in his book.

At least the problem with the kids was settled quickly, although Eve made a mental note to keep a lookout for that very boy at the pool. "It's okay, now!" She said cheerfully, patting Istas on the back. "Go find the counselor who's in charge of you! It's one of them with the red emblems." Sure, that was vague, but she didn't yet know all the kids by faces and names! The junior counselors would figure that out.

"Lord Boring!" Eve picked up jovially, grinning at Sorrin. "That's it, Lucy, I'm calling you that for the rest of camp. You're still my minion, remember!" After all, since she was the one who dragged him into this, so she was automatically in charge of him. Which meant to make sure that he have some fun, with the help of fellow counselors and the kids. From the looks of things, it looked like they were going to have a blast.

"And don't worry." She added, patting Lucy on top of his head. "We'll drag Seth into this too. I'm not intending to let him hole himself up in the office doing paperwork all day." And when Eve Summers was determined to do something, no one got in her way!

From across the crowd Sorrin offered two thumbs up above all the people to Eve, even going as far to move a bit closer. "And what may I call you fair maiden? After all you need a proper title, and if Lord Boring is your minion then surely you must be a queen right?" He paused for a moment, "Queen Summer? Queen Fun? I like Summer better. Fit's the season." Oh if only he knew... None the less he continued to grin in her direction feeling sure that he had found someone in the camp he could get along with along with Flinn behind him.

Hmmmmmm? Ainsley’s whisper and Griffin’s gentle tap stirred Sam awake. He blinked slowly, adjusting to the fact that he was in a completely new place. Removing his face from the window, and rubbing off the smudge it left behind, Sam stared out the window. “We’re here!” He smiled at Griffin.

Full of energy, Sam jumped up and took Ainsley by the hand. “Don’t worry about our stuff. We can get them later.” Sam was oblivious to fact that Ainsley had smuggled in a cat. “I gotta see this place.”

Ainsley wasn’t the type to be pushy, so Sam would do it for her! He pulled her along and out into the fresh air. There were kids everywhere, and it was like a sea of people that Sam could barely see through. There was one familiar face that he could see though, Adira. Sam tried to wave to her, but no luck. "There's Adira! You remember here from Istas's party yeah?"

Pushing his way passed shoulders, Ainsley in tow, trying to find an open spot where they could breathe.

"Queen Summer she is!" answered Finn, who was busy climbing a light post. He cupped his free hand to his mouth and once again bellowed, "HEY, MIDGETS, SHUT UP AND FIND YOUR STUFF."

Sensitivity training? What was that.

"Keep your shirt on in front of the kids," he added to Sorrin, leaping down from the light post. "Plenty of time for that later, and fun that no cabin will contain, and campfires and singing kumbaya and getting poison ivy."

"If I get a title, I want to be Midsummer Knight," he added, which gave him another idea. He gestured to Eve. "Oh! She could be Midsummer's Eve! Twinsies!" It was a pun. A brilliant pun. Couldn't they all see what brilliant puns he was making?
