I thought about those things a lot after I posted his attacks last night and I'm sure I'll keep fiddling with ideas in notepad until there's a more official ruling on his magic pool and what not, but as much as I think these things through nothing is really coming to me? Things like this get tricky because I have plans for Braden and I need to also take into account how he would use what's given to him. Right now he's very much a forced hermit because he's his own worst enemy and is convinced that no matter what everyone does hate him. I guess, ICly, having attacks that essentially make him need to work with a team in order to survive is where I'm going with him. And that's my thing to work out. I don't expect anyone to hold my hand while I try to figure out how all of this will work for him and future plotting.
The truth of the matter is that I could very well make his attacks potentially longer, or give him the ability to target the same person more than once, but when I think about static electricity and how it works the more convinced I am that I would be straddling the line between what is and isn't over-powered. Maybe it's ridiculous of me to think about it, but standard static electricity is actually pretty high-voltage stuff and I became very concerned about things like it increasing the more he uses it on one person and the like. I totally understand that I can limit how that can actually be used, but that's where I'm having trouble thinking of things. I totally adore the idea of his attack making hair frizzy and the electricity being pulled from things that physically it wouldn't otherwise, like rubber.
Anyway, with my constant second guessing of his abilities I would rather play it safe and have him be under powered and revise later if it ends up I need to in order to play him effectively.
