He ignored the comment about Skins and Kalonas. Those were a topic that only needed discussing when you had to. He merely raised a brow when she hinted him handsome and didn't feel the need to go back along his bloodline. He simply was what he was and she knew the story of that part of his life now. He refused to dwell. "The cerynei aren't deer. I know a few how would be insulted if you called them that. Legend has it that the cerynei where a herd who broke off from regular soquili and decided to live in their own magical forest. It is said that your dainty, willowy form was taken from the trees themselves. Instead of copying deer the landscape around you shaped you. Gave you antlers to mimic limbs. Short tails as to not get caught in bramble, long necks to reach, springy and long legs with cloven hooves to leap and grip and run swiftly through the trees. Some, like you, even lost their manes. Further adding in the ability to hop about the trees without trouble. I find that legends similar to the elves the humans sometimes talk of. Born and connected to the tress." He laughed when he realized he'd been talking too long. "Forgive me, I have traveled far and know more about lots of things than I should. Sometimes I think my head is filled with legends. When I wasn't with Wahu I was learning about the soquili." He shook his mane and looked up at her to her green eyes. "I am older than I appear Larena. Much older." He let that hang but listened as she spouted on about love. He understood immediately what she was hinting at. She wasn't the first mare to fall for his visage. He almost sighed but realized she could be different if he let her. She had intellect and caring. Both were to her credit. "Larena. Love is not that easy and I don't believe in love at first sight. I am also not stupid and have had many a mare throw themselves at my feet. I apparently am not easyily swayed." He walked forward three steps and did something he'd never done before. Forwardly, he reached out to willingly touch a mare, stroke his cheek against hers. The touch made him feel warm inside and he smiled. He reached up to whisper in her ear. "If you want me to love you Larena, you're going to have to prove how special you are." He nuzzled her once more then pulled away to watch her expression.

All her focus was on him and she was listening intently her ears back nodding now and then. If someone had come up behind her show would of never known shh wanted to hear everything he had to say his tales of adventure and the knowledge he knew. "I would not be insulted if i was called a deer i would just say what i told you my mother thought she was one" she nods and smiles at him "I do know why some would take that in bad way though they might think you rude for saying such things..I have heard those legends to and i believe them hearing you say them though..they have a whole new meaning..I do feel myself drawn to nature and i also blend in quite well with it..I do suppose it all happened for a reason if not i would not be here" she nods again and laughs with him "You can never talk to long because one can never stop learning when you recall the legends i can see the expressions on your face change and you seem to get sucked into the storys themselves..I would love to hear more about these things you should not know..knowledge will always be power" she saw him shift to shake his mane out and she could not help noticing how graceful he looked then she was face to face with his eyes staring into them "Well then all the better you are experienced in life..I dont care how old you are nothing will change i will not think down of you" she liked him and that like was budding into something more she really had true feelings for him.
She looked at him as her ears perked up when she heard him talk of love. "Love is not easy..one must endure hardship to find peace..Love in first sight is possible..it is very rare but its possible..You are kind compassionate and a warrior at heart a great procter who wont throw his genes around with just anyone..you are a knight and a brave one you are not stupid i agree with that i can just see the mares begging for you..wanting you to love them..the ones who would lie for you..turn there backs on you..you should not be swayed by just any mare" she nods at him knowing some mares who have done that for a stallion and then just left without a second glance taking that stallions genes with her. She then heald her breath when she saw him walking to her and then she felt him brush on her cheek and the world changed her breath let out and she embraced him she put her nose to his and burred her face in his thick mane not even reaching the top of his shoulder. "I will prove to you i will prove this..these feelings of mine are real and if you let me if you give me the chance..i will prove that i am special i have what other mares dont..i have plenty of love and kindness to last me a lifetime" She feels him pull back and she lifts her head up her eyes burning with something they never have before the power of determination the power love drives into one she was driven and she would prove to him how loyal she could be she would prove him that she really did have the love he deserved.

He shook his head, thoroughly baffled by her. She didn’t think him wordy and old, like some. Which pleased him, he always tried to stay young. In heart and mind. Strength and power were often bestowed to the young. He’d needed both as he’d grown and settled into his role in life. Even now he didn’t feel the six or so years he carried. “Little lady, be careful of professing yourself too early. I fear you might scare me off.” He chuckled “Besides, you hardly know me and I hardly know you. If I am to know you will have to spend time with me. Come with me to meet Kwahu and his new family. I have a feeling they will become my family. I could never go too far from him. He means too much and I have a feeling I shall feel the same urge to protect his children as I do him. I’m a people horse but you I suspect have spent little time around them.” And then suddenly he pushed his head forward again, rubbing on her. “You smell good. Why do I feel calm and at peace now for once? When I have not felt either for months? I have been angry and insufferable to everyone. I am confused why you, little deer, mange the miracle of easing my troubled mind. There are things you don’t know, terrible things from my past. I should leave you here and make you go find a younger stallion with fewer problems than I.” He rubbed and hummed along her smooth brown neck. He felt like he dwarfed her…not that he didn’t dwarf almost everyone. His train of thought changed and he began to muse. “I think perhaps it would help if you also proved I cannot break you. You’re smaller than a kirin mare and I thought those where small…but at least there isn’t flutter blood in you. That shape shifting thing creeps me out.” He moved suddenly so he could get a look at her from all angles. He got the impression of wood grain and creeping vines. When he stood beside her he noticed that her back came only to about the middle of his side. “Tiny, tiny, tiny. Do you feel safe or overshadowed?
