"Hey!" Zephyr turned around with an accusing glance at Flora's toss of his sincere worries. "I'll have you know that it was a legitimate concern." He countered with a tone of indignation. However, Zephyr still sighed in heartfelt relief. Of course. Which is why his reaction to Flora's annoucement was belated.

..Engaged? He looked over to Flora. And then himself. And then to Flora. "Pffftttt." His hand came up to his mouth in a contemplative gesture but then scoffed and looked away. When he finally found the composure to look back at Flora, Zephyr an absolute smile that merely stated, 'That's impossible' in absolute disbelief. He didn't think that Flora was lying, she wasn't devious enough to nor did she have a reason to do so, but he was finding it hard to believe.

It was almost like he was speaking to a child when he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I wouldn't be worried about that. Even if we were engaged once," He placed emphasis on the last portion, "There's no guarantee we'll get engaged in this lifetime."

Zephyr would readily admit that Flora was a beautiful girl. She was sweet, nice, loyal to her princess above all -- but that was exactly why Zephyr couldn't be with her. Right? Has they changed so much from their past selves?

A legitimate concern. Really? Perhaps it was because she had always assumed that her past self looked the same as her that she didn't care much. Perhaps because her first vision of her past self had been what triggered her wonder of what her life had been like. Flora could only sigh grumpily and shake her head. It was a trivial matter that she had cleared up easily... at least she hadn't been forced to tell him that he was handsome, not that he wasn't. She already had a panic attack over realizing that they were once engaged.

He was taking this far easier than she was. She realized, growing indignant. This wasn't a laughing matter! He didn't understand the severity of it because he hadn't seen what she had. She only could look at him, corners of her mouth drooping because she couldn't find comfort in his reassurance.

There had been Chronos and Eon. And then Castor and Lina. Flora had seen enough of past relationships growing into this lifetime; heck, Neso had loved Chronos before, hadn't he? And she was wary and unsure. She didn't even know what exactly were her feelings toward Zephyr. Was it supposed to be love at first sight, those sort of mushy things like 'their destiny had been written in the stars'?

It wasn't that Zephyr was a bad catch. He was a pretty decent and good looking guy, and a senshi, at the very least, but Flora was terrified of commitment. And of all the drama she had seen from the couples previously mentioned.

She didn't think she should mention anything about what she knew. He would probably dismiss it and maybe, her worries were unfounded. She placed a hand on top of his and gave him a shaky smile. "I think we should go back. Before my homeworld starts to spring another surprise on me."

"Agreed." Zephyr had seen as much as he needed to see. "After all, we wouldn't want you to actually faint this time." He drawled, but he wasn't entirely joking. Judging from the toll the last memory had taken upon her and how it still affected her now -- Zephyr didn't doubt that she might on the next round. And that would result in a multitude of problems, including a lack of medication attention and leaving Zephyr stranded.

Despite his completely honest opinion and even rejection, he still sensed a multitude of problems emanating from Flora's manner. But was he really the cause of her problems? Or was the root elsewhere? Zephyr rubbed the back of his head although he wasn't as conflicted as Flora was. Either way, he didn't care to comfort her. If his reassurances hadn't worked, she wouldn't be satisfied with anything else he said. There was no point in wasting his words in her current state.

He would leave it to somebody else.

"Let's go."
