He stifled a surprised yelp as Logan nearly crashed into him. He opened his maw to respond to Wrigley's comment, then found himself being touched by the female. His brow furrowed.
What an odd comment to make, he thought. But one not without reason. His eyes were telling.
He wrinkled his nose as he looked back at Rage, suspecting that the alpha was teasing him slightly. "I'll just get out of this path here," he said, "before someone actually does crash into me."
He hesitated, casting his eyes over the assortment of wolves, trying to work out who was related to whom aside from the obvious ones. Deciding that this newest batch seemed nice enough -- and that the cream-colored one, while invasive, seemed kind -- he shifted away from the center of the path and settled down nearby Amara and Wrigley.
He had a hard time keeping his eyes off of Logan, though. His bright color and spiked fur made him stick out a bit.

Too many wolves. Far too many.
The female said her family was big. She failed to mention the word "huge" as well.
Despite not having any sort of camouflaging markings, the pup sat still as death in a nearby bush, watching. Never had he seen so many wolves in one place . . . The female commanded strength.
Most of them looked similar to her, save for two: an orange and black striped fellow and a pale yellow, more withdrawn one being addressed by several of the "siblings". Damask watched, pensive on how to react.
Should he come out now? Should he stay? The female had howled . . . No point in staying behind. He did not want to disappoint.
So the young pup strode out of the bush with several leaves clinging to his pelt, keeping his eyes on the ground as he slowly wound his way towards She-Who-Had-No-Name-Yet. The female was the only one he was comfortable with.

Calandra's ears perked up when Rage's strong howl reached her den and she levered herself off the ground with a sigh. She'd only been home for a few days and she was still tired. Part of it she blamed on the pregnancy, although she knew it was ridiculous to blame it so early in the process. Her pups couldn't be affecting her that much. Still, thinking "her pups" warmed her enough that she had the strength to force herself to move despite her doubts. It wasn't a long walk to the meeting space, but it had been a very long time since Calandra had been forced to interact with others in her pack.
Oura had left earlier in the evening, which meant that if Calandra waited for him to return before she attended the meeting would either be over or well-started by the time they arrived. She knew that Oura couldn't have gone so far that he couldn't hear their alpha, so she stood, shook her fur out gently, and headed for the meeting space. From a distance she heard the voices of those already gathered and was sure at least a few were Rage's children. She'd forgotten some of their names, which wasn't that surprising considering her many trips away, her role as messenger for Outriders, and the general fact that Calandra simply didn't see members of her pack that often. She would recognize them, but the only ones she had ever really spent time with or spoken to were Rage and, now, Ouranos.
She had also forgotten-- if she ever really realized-- how many children Rage actually had.
The start at seeing so many of Rage's brood in one place didn't slow Calandra down. She was used to moving through her shock. How else did you stay alive in the wilds? So she smiled at her alpha and friend, not wanting to be out-of-line by striking up conversation with her, before finding a seat with enough room next to her for at least another wolf to sit comfortably beside her. She didn't intend to stay alone for long.
Her eyes fell on a bright purple pup she'd never seen before and, beyond the thought of how cute he was, Calandra felt a pang of regret at her own children being away. She missed them. Looking around at the many members of Outriders, which was a blessing of size considering how many Calandra had thought would show, Cali was glad Oura had helped her raise Evadne and Indeygo; she hadn't realized how many unnaturally colored pelts the Outriders had until they were all assembled, and she wasn't even considering odd markings. It would definitely be a change from the Glen he was used to.

Rage looked to Quinn and her ears swiveled and she offered him a smile, trying to not grin. She curled her tail around herself and nodded in his direction and watched as he made his way towards Wrigley and Amara. He was safe in their company, even Logan. Logan may look like a brute, could be a brute, but she knew his heart was as soft as wet sand.
"Take a place where comfortable," she spoke, and her eyes fell to the bright purple form of Damask. Rage nudged her shoulder against Daemon's, motioning towards the pup, as if saying, that's him.
Rage smiled and let her ears fall back and made a spot next to her so that Damask could feel comfortable. Although she knew, soon enough, Tearh might be heckling the small thing. Rage already shot her red-maned daughter a glance of 'do not touch.'
"Glad you heard Damask," she gave a lick atop his head and groomed the leaves from his fur.
Rage's eyes then went to Calandra, in which they shined so bright. Rage was so happy she had returned so soon, but, she knew something was different, but Rage wouldn't pry, not yet.

Malik came from the underbrush in silence. His crimson eyes looked to those faces he know, those he did not. He looked to Daemon, red eyes meeting blue, and he looked to Rage. He said nothing but dipped his head and sniffed the air.
He tilted his head at the small, purple pup.
No, it couldn't be Rage's...not again.
Mailk still had a disdain for Daemon, for stealing Rage from him. But he swore to never leave here. He just hoped he would one day find happiness as well. He sat alongside where Logan was, silent as a stone.

Nix followed close after Malik and shook her head. "You are always the life of the party, huh? Mr. stone silent, pfft," Nix went straight for Rage and greeted her, nudged her side and looked to Damask. She got close to the ground, curled her tail under her belly, and tilted her head.
"He is so cute Rage," she wiggled her body, "Rage taking care of you, little one? I'm Nix."

Valen sighed coming from behind his mother. "Mother, please, don't scare him, let Rage watch him, come on," Valen walked past his mother who shot him a glare.
Valen didn't seem to take notice.
He had gotten a bit arrogant since he had grown, and gotten accustom to being a guard and hunter for the pack, which suited him fine, there was only one other thing that bothered him in this pack besides his mother's constant embarrassing attitude...

Kia. She watched her mother go after Valen, try giving him a talking to and Kia shook her head. She nodded to Rage, the others already gathered, Though her ears pricked forward when she took notice of the pale yellow male that sat near Amara and Wrigley.
Instantly Kia wished to abandon sitting with her mother, but she did so anyway, but continued to look in the male's direction, smiling.
She could feel her brother nudging her shoulder over and over again.

He smiled at the pup as he made his way across the little gathering. He could only imagine how terrifying it would be to be all alone here when you were so young. It was scary enough for him, and he was old enough to have seen so much already. He wondered vaguely what the pup's story was, where he had come from, if he was orphaned and how that had come to be.
Then that thought process abruptly shut down as that wall that held back the bad memories began to quiver.
Instead, he turned his attentions back to the in-coming wolves. His eyes caught those of a dust-colored femme and his head tilted. Odd -- she seemed to look at him at the same moment as he had her, and it was almost as though something had passed between them, some quiet unspoken interaction, but he wasn't sure at all what it meant. Still, she smiled at him, so he smiled back.

Damask stiffened a little when the female began to clean him, but the multiple presences of the wolves kept him still enough for her to do so. It wasn't as if he had anywhere to hide, and the action was . . . comforting. He hadn't bothered with his appearance since he left his family. Maybe mothers did that all the time. He remembered when his mother had cleaned him many times before his eyes had opened . . .
Damask swayed a little, and then returned to reality. Several of the wolves had come to him, as others did to the pale yellow male. One, the gray female, had named She-Who-Had-No-Name as Rage; probably related, since he saw the same marking on her shoulder as she did the darker female's.
Rage. He didn't know the word, but accepted it as her name from now on, and then nodded in response to this Nix's question.
The male by her, though, was not as welcoming. Damask took one quick look at those red eyes far above him, and then averted his gaze. He did not like the stoic aura about him.
He didn't catch the smile the yellow male had given him. Too many to keep track of as it was.
And the newer, non-black female, he caught for a few seconds before moving on. Damask felt if they all began introductions, his head would explode with the information.
One at a time. Please, one at a time. He kept close to Rage, his lips sealed for the moment. He felt like an ant at the moment, awaiting something.

((Apologize for the brief delay my fellow pack-ians (sp?) the pups have been keeping us supremely busy as they are now little brats >> Good news is (in case you've not seen) is the pack is officially active! Thanks to all new members, you are awesome, this is also great for future pack development!
Now back to more rp/characters))
"I can't believe how slow you are," Redlea called back to his sister. He sighed and trod out from the underbrush, looking for his family. But, like usual, he was the first to arrive.
And, as per usual, he saw his mother no where.
He looked to Rage, smiled, and sat near the edge of the circle. The bright pup's colors made him curious as Redlea was quite bright himself. He smiled, wagged his tail a little and sat quietly.

"I'm not slow, just, hmm, I like to say, easily distracted, hey, hey wait!" Lous called and skid out into the open. As soon as she did she didn't realize how late they were exactly and she gulped. She grinned and her ears fell back as she looked to Kia who looked as if she was going to die laughing.
"S-sorry," she did notice there were others that were lacking, so she quickly took a seat next to her brother and waited for at least their father, where was their mother anywho?

Katana came from the opposite side of the underbrush and saw her children had just arrived. she was a quiet wolf who was small in stature and in voice. She made the perfect companion for her mate.
He was strong, large, and a brute.
Katana ran to her two children, said nothing, and sat beside them.
She did notice the purple pup and pale yellow male, they smelled new.

Senku arrived next. He was tall and a warrior at heart like his father. he held no traits like his sniveling mother who had to be around here somewhere.
His brood on the other hand loved their childlike grandmother.
Senku snorted at the thought.
He saw his mate and went to her side and eyed the pale yellow male on the way as if to silently say 'mine.'

Ohka was quiet when she revealed herself. Silent, stealthy, but also almost shivering.
She nodded to Rage and looked to her grandpuppies, all grown up. She looked to Senku and Ano'kainthros with their broods, and smiled.
She felt old, but never too old for a pack gathering.
"The pack is so silent, it seems, but so strong in numbers, even the new ones," she said looking to them, smiling, and found a place away from the larger wolves.
