Adonai nodded, considering this. He couldn't say that he would do the same, at least not without a fight. Maybe that made him a worse wolf than Galahad. "She may be as you say," he said, not without heat, "but she also allows -- maybe even condones -- the rest of the behavior. How many traumatized male pups will YMCA be asked to shelter?"
As far as he was concerned, the whole business was ridiculous at best. No matter what anyone said to the contrary, he couldn't believe that his own son was happy in the life fate had given him, and that Iosef had been angry with him for wanting to correct that...well. That hurt more than everything else combined.
"Balios is going after him," he said. "He's always been rather fond of him, I think. And curiosity's gotten the better of him, especially considering Apollo's sudden interest in them as well."
If any of his grandsons ended up hurt on account of that damned pack, he thought....

"As many as needed, though I do hope for things to be better for males there in the future, especially pups." If anyone deserved to have a happy life it was pups, even those born of the wrong gender according to that pack. He couldn't hold the packs traditions against them, he had seen his share of weird and disturbing traditions, much like he could not do anything to change them. He merely accepted them at face value and helped those who were unfortunate enough to be caught up in them.
Hm this could prove dangerous, Apollo had shown an interest in the pack, though Galahad didn't think it was to live a life of servitude but more of a female, Balios was going to attempt to rescue Corinth who had gone up there to pledge his services to the Queen. This might require a bit of diplomatic strength to make sure nothing went wrong. "Balios had best watch himself then. I think I will speak to Chivosi, perhaps she can speak to the Queeen to ensure everything is smoothed out and nothing goes wrong." In fact he better do so now, she wouldn't be able to travel very far soon and it was best to handle this before the situation turned ugly.
"Excuse me Adonai, I think this is actually something that needs to be dealt with immediately. I will allow you to get back to your patrol, thank you for taking the time to speak with me." He turned and went to leave but stopped and looked back at the other male. "If you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask." And with that and a quick nod Galahad was off through the trees.

"I doubt he'll do anything too stupid on purpose," he said, in grim agreement, "But you know Balios. If ever a wolf could infuriate someone with politeness, it's him."
He nodded at Galahad's sudden attentiveness to the issue. He was glad they were on the same page about these things. Maybe this would bring to light some of his other concerns, also.
"I'd go myself to help you, but I tend to think my presence would only make things worse for everyone involved. Go. I'll keep an eye on things here."
He watched as the other left, then turned back to his duties. Maybe after patrol he'd wander off to pay a visit to his new lady-friend. He was pretty confident that the new alpha had everything under control.
