i'd say yay. anime is something i use to act out of my social norm. it doesn't mean that whatever i like in anime has to actually be possible in real life, or accepted. heart

I'm sorry if this is OT and will remove that is the case, but does anyone think that Shota will come under heavier fire with Oprah's crusade against child molesters (after all it can and probibly will be concidered kiddy porn)

Personally, I don't like reading shouta, because it doesn't appeal to me. However, I have no problem with other people reading/drawing it. I don't think that Oprah's cracking down on child molestors will affect shouta, because its drawn and not actual photographs.

I sppose it depends on a few factors for me. My main ones being: is it rape? raping little kids is against even MY principles (to which I lack many); is the child mature, while I don't mind their age, I would prefer the children are mature enough (like Ritsuka from Loveless in preference to... 11-year-old Naruto, while I don't mind it when Naruto gets older... not when the series started, he was immature and young), and... how big is the age difference. I don't mind shota with two children, or a teenager - 25 year old, but if you get any older, it gets disturbing. I suppose it also depends on how young we are talking 8-13 is okay, any younger is just a no.

As Long as it's not Rape, and the "Kid" Knows what's going on and wilingly starts it....whatever...I think it's cute.

im gonna be completely and painfully honest here so plz dont get mad. but in my opinion liking shota is the same as liking child pornagraphy. i have no objections to calling yaoi porn cause it is deffinatly a form of it. and shota is basically looking at little children porn. BUUUUUT, i have ABSOLUTLY nuthing against anyone who does like it. cause thats them and i dont have the right to tell someone what to like. i just thought i would voice my opinion. again this is just what i think, so plz dont get mad.

I don't really have any moral objection to shouta, persay--no children are actually getting hurt. It's just animated art. On the other hand, it doesdisturb me, because it represents something that does hurt people, every day. Something sick and traumatising, no matter the circumstances.
I won't hold anyone else's fondness for it against them, but I won't watch it.

i've never really read it much myself and think it kind of would be morally be wrong. i mean who would want that? adult sex with 8 year olds? i dunno..... kinda touchy issue but hey gay sex is "wrong" too and i like it. 3nodding goes both ways i guess then eh?
