In truth, it was humiliating that he hadn't found a date for the prom. Of course, there was the fact that the bakeneko hadn't asked anyone to go with him, apparently in assumption that the ghouls would come flocking to him instead, but that was entirely beside the point. The point was that he couldn't go alone. That would be even more humiliating, to not have a ghoul on his arm when he walked in. Deacon couldn't let that happen. He wouldn't let that happen.
He'd overheard a couple of students talking about the box out front, pondering over the fact that he had seen the box but paid no mind to what it was or what it might be doing there. So, trying to find a good time when the halls would be thinned out a little, Deacon passed by and grabbed up one of the blank slips, hastily filled it out with a pen in his possession, then stuffed the form into the box and quickly continued on his way.Questionnaire Character Name: Deacon Date Gender Preference: Ghoul Time Zone: EST Typical time online for RP: Approximately 10pm to 3am Daily. Cackling silently a certain doll snuck up to the box and submitted her owners name. Oh the hell she'd get from this would well be worth the results. Ah pranking, her favorite pastime. Now just how to inform Mandy of it... Walking away Mara may have creeped out a few people with the look on her stitched face. Cady couldn't read. Therefore, she didn't really know why people kept covertly stopping by the box near the front of the main building of the school. They'd drop little sheets of paper into the slot, and then dash off, or in one or two cases, chuckle evilly. Weird. She'd passed by more than once, as she moved in her things and tried to get to know the campus via exploration. Ghouls, boils, almost all she didn't know - although she thought she'd spotted Ash vanish around the corner. Maybe it was a raffle, like at Open House! She wondered what the prizes were. Must be something good. Maybe food? With this in mind, she hastily scribbled a message familiar to bathroom walls everywhere on a slip of paper, and slid it into the box. She'd have to catch up to Ash and ask what it was all about later, definitely. me he he Character Name: Arcadia Date Gender Preference: Boil, although she'd probably go with a ghoul too for funsies Time Zone: US Central Time, but I stay up until like 5 am some nights |D Typical time online for RP: Usually like...~2pm central till like 4am, but I might be doing training at work starting the 27th so between 6pm-10pm I won't be available. Blind dates. Vieve.. had heard of those, before; it was when you applied for a job, and had to set up some kind of appointment to talk to the people in charge. The girl wasn't sure why they were called 'blind' dates, when they obviously had to judge you based on how you presented yourself to them, but that was the least of her concerns.
Now.. to fill in a form. The first step to getting her first job at the academy, and it was only the first day of school! Practically glowing with excitement, the elemental rummaged around for a pencil, and began scrawling on the notice..Questionnaire Character Name: Vieve Alexander Date Gender Preference: Male Time Zone: GMT+8 Typical time online for RP: 12pm-12am Anything else you think I should know: Vee's completely new to school, doesn't really know anyone. She's not actually looking for a date, either, will get along well with rich boys, probably throw a fit when she finds out what she actually signed up for.

Peeking around a corner to make sure it was all clear, Astra snuck up to the box continuously glancing around to make sure it continued to stay that way, a small peice of paper in hand. Considering hit was prom...she would like to go with someone. But who..she wasn't sure. She didn't want to ask though encase the person she did ask already hate a dtae. That woudl be embarrassing.. As quickly as she could, the fairy placed the paper in the box and flew away as quick as she could Quote: Character Name: Astra Date Gender Preference: Boil Time Zone: GMT + 9, also known as AEST. Typical time online for RP: probably about 7pm-11pm. I'll get at least one post in a day, and weekends I can be on and off the entire day. Anything else you think I should know: Due to timezones I may be offline depending on who I'm partnered with, but I'll try to keep rp moving as best as I can x.x;

The Grim Reaper took one long deep breath to help calm herself before making her way to the box. She was nervous no doubt, but Colette tried to ignore it, telling herself there was nothing wrong with this. Nothing to really be ashamed of. It was okay. It's not like she hadn't been in similar circumstances before, and all it would take is some writing. Let someone see her put her name in the box. Have no shame!
The fact that she was even doing this was an achievement, but Colette, quite simply, was tired of how things are.
Tired of how little friends she had.
Tired of how she barely even sees the ones she does -- if they even still think of her as a friend.
Tired of how much fun everyone seems to have while she's just there.
She was going on year two. She was advancing, upgrading, whatever one wanted to call it. Colette knew she should be having just as much fun as everyone else, but she wasn't. Why should she miss Prom of all things and be alone while everyone else had fun?
Well, she of course decided she shouldn't. Being to nervous to do this was just.. weak. Colette wanted to be more courageous. She faced a freaking ninja and Jack knows what else, and this was just simply putting your name in a box and hanging out with someone for a few hours!
Augh, just do it! she told herself. Colette grabbed a slip and quickly filled it out in her own pen. Not a pencil. Nothing could be changed.
Name? Uh, duh. Colette Lacroix. Likes? Weapons and Reindeer -- Jack help her if her date hated the two. Dislikes? Igors and Banshee. No, that was racist. Colette didn't want to leave that. She only hated one of each of those. Colette thought a moment before settling on one simple thing. Anyone sporadically violent.
Quote: Questionnaire Character Name: Colette Lacroix Date Gender Preference: Either. She really prefers males, but if there's just "likes" and "dislikes" on the IC questionnaire, she would dumbly not specify. Time Zone: EST Typical time online for RP: Sporadically from 11AM - 11PM. (It's summer!) Anything else you think I should know: Hi, my name is Rod and I like to party.

A blind date.
Sparrow debated for a long while about signing up.
...a very long while.
For one thing, he wasn't sure he even wanted a date; not going with one might seem strange, but if he wasn't tied to one specific ghoul he would be free to dance with more than just his date, right? And for another thing, there was one specific ghoul in mind with whom Sparrow had wanted to ask.
Wanted, but chickened out at the last second. He wasn't sure she even wanted to go with him, and he had heard a rumor that she had a boilfriend, so he hadn't managed to screw up the courage to ask her.
But prom was growing rapidly close and Sparrow felt as if it were too last minute to ask her. He didn't want the poor ghoul to feel obligated to go with him, after all. That would be even less fun.
He had nothing to lose, right? Sparrow sighed, absently tugging at one of his gloves. Nothing to lose, and perhaps something to gain out of a blind date...though it could turn out potentially terrible. What if she doesn't like me? What if she spills her drink down my front? What if we embarrass each other or something?
He had too many thoughts. Sparrow shook his head. Nothing to lose.
So he stood in front of the little table, very neatly and quietly filled out a form, and dropped it into the box.Questionnaire Questionnaire Character Name: Sparrow. Date Gender Preference: It would be hilarious if he could be set up with a guy, since he's such a flirt, but both boys and girls work. :3 Time Zone: MST. Typical time online for RP: Lots. Yeah. Anything else you think I should know: He's a huge flirt. But he's a gentleman above all else, so he's polite and respectful, rather than creeper-ish or leery.

Night stared at the box while his tail flipped. He had heard about the prom event that was coming up and decided to go last minute. Though he wasn't sure what he was signing up for. His hand held the paper before dropping it in the box and strutting off. Well mission succeeded! Time for a Nap. Riley settled her hand on the box in front of the office, and slipped one claw under the slit. She plucked it up in one hand, and shook it. The sound of papers was enough for her to assume that her experiment was a success. It was time to see if Riley's hypothesis was correct.
As to what hypothesis that could be, that spawned her little experiment, it seems as though it would remain a mystery for all time.
She closed the table with a snap, and carried it, and the box, back to her dorm-room for evaluation.

Riley dumped the box out on the mat that sat atop her work desk, and unfolded each one. She read them carefully, committing the information that she was offered to memory, before carefully writing each name of the student on the back of their slip of paper. When she had completed this task, she set her pen down, and spread the papers out in an organized manner. Then she separated all of the boils near the bottom, and the ghouls near to the top.
Eleven ghouls, 7 boils, and one special piece of paper that she didn't include with the others after she had read it. She tucked it away in her pocket for later, and surveyed her desk.
Her mind was already hard at work, finding patterns in the papers in front of her.

The first choice was surprisingly easy. She had met two new students at Open House, and they were two that she had her eye on, currently. Was this a good thing? Probably not. But it only made sense to her that they would be an interesting matched set.
She plucked the piece on the side, and the one on the corner, and switched them to put Aislin and Sparrow together.

Since she'd already picked up the paper, she looked carefully at Aurian's slip. She'd never met this person, but she was pretty sure they sounded like the type of person who could handle a wild card. Her eyes flickered over the page, and settled on that wild card. She shuddered lightly - and hoped, above all hope, that Mandy would wear an outfit that featured some kind of breasplate. Good luck, Aurian, whoever you are.

To be quite honest, her next choice was pure aesthetics and mathematical symmetry. She did not know this Vieve, nor did she really understand the point she was trying to detail in her note. She only barely knew Night from classes, if at all. But when she picked up Night's paper, and set it beside Vieve, the symmetry of their five letter names called out to her.
Oh, how Riley loved symmetry. It was a beautiful union that she was sure would work out to both parties benefits.
And definitely not end in disaster.

Riley was disappoint.
As she stared at the rest of the names, after putting those two together, she decided, with much chagrin, that there were far too many new students that she had yet to meet yet. The student body would be forever in flux - how, exactly, was she going to keep up with the flow?
I should have done this match up in person, and interviewed the students personally.. she muttered to herself. The Intellect Devourer at her feet lifted it's brain-body at her curiously, but upon realizing she wasn't talking to it, flopped back down with a squish on it's limbs.
She plucked out two names that she knew she'd never seen before. At least I will make sure to check up on each couple at the prom, and I will meet them then. She resolved, as she set Taryn's name next to Joachim. Such interesting names, both. With names like those, perhaps they were both exotic enough to have something in common.
