He kept his hands up, licking his lips and watching her carefully, not running but -- prepared, if he had to. He was hovering on the edge of a teleport, well aware that this might not be the wisest choice of confrontation. All things considered, MuCephei was winning this encounter, as she'd won the last one, and...
Ilmenite looked more serious, now, not smiling back nor was he tossing clever retorts in her direction. The serious edge to his tone was unusual, for him, perhaps unexpected, "I've tossed my bolas there, but I've never really attacked anyone the way you do. Not without provocation."

"There was never a truer statement than 'You are known by the company you keep". She said narrowing her eyes. "You and yours may focus more on energy now... but I remember far too well that it began with star-seeds. Mass deaths each and every night just to satisfy your hungers for energy."
She shook her head. "No... even your 'lack of what you see as an attack doesn't justify stealing their life energy away."

"If we're judged by the company we keep, then you're much worse off than I am." He laughed, but it was laughter with a sharp edge behind it, his eyes narrowed and shoulders tensing up some. Furious about the implications; maybe he was growing more attached to the Negaverse than he thought.
"Kidnapping and torture? Innovative emotional manipulation? Calculating murders for information?" He shook his head sharply and flipped her off, his expression cold behind a forced smile. "That's what you stand for."

"You...are insane." She said and clearly believed it, could it really be she had no idea what he was talking about? The senshi were far less organized, some seemed utterly detached and Zink had even attempted 'chains of association' which linked which senshi had been seen in the presence of which others. Suspected teams and the like but the Blood Moon Court was... a frustrating topic. Most of those they were sure of were only thanks to the survivors, others were lost to the resultant frey and every one whom had joined in after, one couldn't be sure if they were interlopers or members.

"No, you're a naive, holier than thou, wanna-be martyr." He spat, at this last -- a genuine spit, down toward his own feet, relaxing just a little bit. At this point, Ilmenite felt comfortably in control of the situation. In his mind, he was winning this encounter. And maybe he was right, in a way of speaking. At the very least, she'd stopped attacking him.
"You can play at that if you want, but I see through you." Ilmenite shook his head, shrugged, somewhat indifferent, and summoned his weapon back with a quick roll of his hand. "Petty children playing at war."

"I understand you get a choice in this, then you puff yourselves up on delusions and say the same...but you ******** killed someone close to me while I was looking for a way to make us all stop fighting...so take your 'your a puffed up martyr' and shove it where your bolas belong."
"The only thing you see... is pride." Her hand was moving again to the pin of her brooch, her eyes narrowed

"I've been nothing but honest with you. If you can't handle that, keep living in denial." He was angry, at this point, and he knew that was a bad thing. With one last shake of his head he disappeared on her: leaving only disturbed dust in the alley in his wake.
