She had to admit to herself that his hugging was nice. It was warm. "I can't believe you missed me that much. I was only with you a week at best. but thanks.. that's so nice... you make me feel rather special." Then, she blushed from feeling embarrassed. She wasn't accustomed to this sort of attention. Well, she had her share of attention during the winter. But, this somehow felt a little different.

"So what brings you around here again?"
"It's sumemrtime. that's what...." She swam some circles around him and then just floated for a bit. "During the summer, i stay in a thicket in teh forest. Though... I am thinking about moving away from that. I might move closer to the river. I come here so often to fish and swim anyways. might as well find lodging closer by."
"Oh? I have made home roomer and..." He voice trailed off. He followed her with his eyes. "Would you like to see it?
"Sure. where you are leading.. i shall follow... at least for the moment.." she winked at him as she followed him to the shore.
He trotted down the towards the falls. "walk lightly" He called to her. He walked to the bottom of the falls and started the thin climb torwards the ledge. "Come on" He call to her.
She followed after quickly at first and then slower and more carefully. She tried to match his moves verbatim. "Ok. just don't go too fast for m e to follow then." she had called to him softly. She started to talk and whisper with the same care they were taking to climb.
"OH, I am sorry" He slowed down. "I am not used to people following me." He laughed. The two made it to his front door. "See I have an actual door" He opend the door and motioned her in. Once she walked in, she was standing in a large living area. there were books and pictures everywhere. and easle in the corner with an unfinished picture in it. "So, what do you think?"
She looked around in awe and admiration. She looked back at him. "can you get to here through the tunnel you took me in during the winter?" She thought that could be awful handy. To have alternate routes of access for different types of weather. She just sat in the middle and kept looking around. "It's really impressive."
"Mhmmm! You can get to any cavern from here." He pranced around a bit. I have three bedrooms, you are welcome to spend your time here." He looked down kinf of sad. "It gets quite lonely here"
Her ears perked up at the invitation to stay there. Her eye slid to look at him when he mentioned being lonely. Her naive and kind little way made him endeared to her. Like someone who rescues injured birds and such, she instantly felt the pull to want to do something to make him happy. "Um.. well if you want.. I can stay here with you... so you won't be lonely.. and then I don't need to find a new summer home."

And so it became that Karis went and stayed with Jarek. Though deep down her heart would chastise her. She would sit and think to herself as to if Chiyuki were off someplace worried about her. He might be. After all, she had merely gone to go herbin in the morning before either he or Chrno were awake. Maybe he'd think she ran away from them. Was he looking for her? These were clouded thoughts, but they didn't plague her as much as they fought to reign as her mind's focus. For, Jarek was frequently about her. Often talking to her, showing her things, and doing other sorts of displays to impress her and garner her approval.
