Akemi gave a reassuring smile to Star, watching the small girl. She chuckled faintly at the caustiousness of the werefox before stating, "You have nothing to worry about from me, little one."

She looked back at Zane and continued, "Thank you for your kindness. I rescued Star a year back... Her village blamed her for the problems they were having and tried to harm her."

It was easy to tell her disgust for what had happened in her voice. There was a feirce glint in her eyes as she finished, "Children, no matter the race, shouldn't be harmed. That is one thing I cannot understand about humans, how they can harm their own besides other races."

She shook her head before glancing at Star, a soft look in her eyes, "I have a request, do you mind if we stay for a few days? I am used to wandering, but Star does not do as well wandering all over with only myself around. I'll help out how ever you need."

Zane watched Kailin and new by the way the two acted that they were no harm to Kailin at all. The air was clear and clean of any hostile vibes. He looked to Akemi and nodded to her words, knowing exactly what she had meant. "You are right about that.....I saved Crimzon from a similar fate, though she heals oddly. No scar has ever marred her skin, leaving no evidence of the life she'd lived. I have theories on what kind of blood line she has, but nothing that fits. She smells and looks human, yet an odd sensation comes from her that isn't human at all. I wish I could figure it out, and yet nothing comes to mind for the time being." He looked to Kialin and sighed, "Kailin on the other hand came from a city to the north.....or that's were he'd ended up after what ever had happened prior to that city. From his scares I can only say he's been abused from a younger age then he is now. Though I can only assume that, since he never speaks to anyone about his life before the one he has now."

He looked back to Akemi, "He answers questions, but other wise says nothing to anyone. When he's in this form he makes animalistic sounds and nothing more beyond a whine or a yip. He only growls when others are threatened such as friends or family. Crimzon has called him brother, and has practically adopted him into the family. He enjoys her company and is one of the first humans that had lived here that he tries to get along with, but it looks like young Star here will get along just fine with him as well. It's pleasant to say the least. As for your stay it is fine, and if you ever choose to leave your always welcome to come back when you need to. Think of it as a home for you to always come back too." He said a slight smiled appearing on his features, and it showed he hadn't smiled often for a long, long time.

Akemi smiled watching the two children interact. She shook her head softly, making a decision to help with the small fox. It was easy to tell that both children had been hurt, and the demoness didn't really like that fact. She looked over at Zane, nodding in understanding as she stated, "Thank you. They do seem to be getting along well. For all intents and purposes, I've adopted Star as my younger sister. She uses my own last name for the most part."

Zane nodded before looking to the two, as it seemed that Kailin was slowly nodding of to dream land. He felt like chuckling, but otherwise held it in. He looked back to Akemi, "You are free to wander where you please in the mansion and upon the grounds. I hope you both enjoy your stay here." He said with a slight bow to the demoness in a polite gesture. His crimson eyes shimmered as he politely excused himself as well, "I must go out for a bit, it seems my time to go hunt has come. I will be back in about an hour at the most. Have a good day." He said as he turned towards the southern art of the field were the forest was thickest and walked slowly into the shadows of the woods. Vanishing like a shadow in darkness. Zane knew for some odd reason that he could trust the two while he was away, just something about them had him trusting them, yet he didn't really understand why.

Kailin thought for a moment before he nodded his acceptance to her. His ears twitched at the sound of Zane having gone now. It seemed okay though, since Zane didn't seem bothered by their presence in the least. But even Kailin knew there were people out there that even Zane despised more then the beings he fed upon. Zane had a habit of feeding upon those that in the human world would be called despicable and vile beings. Such as ranging from abusers to murderers, having found it ease his thoughts about feeding upon humans. Occasionally he would feed upon thugs, but not drain them dry. Just enough to satisfy his thirst, and not turn them as well. Zane has never turned anyone into a vampire, deeming the fact that it was a way of condemning people to a life that wasn't pleasant to most Dhampires. Kailin sighed softly at his thoughts and made a kitsune like purr as he layed there waiting to see what she would do now that she had his acceptance.

Akemi watched the two children, closely, as Zane left. She was glad to find somewhere safe for Star for now. It was getting tiresome to deal with such annoying humans at times. A soft laugh escaped her when she saw the brunette pick the small black fox up and cuddle him. She noticed the soft yawn and could see the faint tiredness in the kitsune's form. She shook her head softly before crouching and scooping both up, carefully. She held Star close before heading towards the mansion, stating, "I think it's time for the two of you to go to bed."

Akemi felt the impact but was able to steady herself. She glanced at Star to make sure the small girl was still asleep before looking back at the small vampire child that had run into her by accident. She returned the smile as she replied, "It's quite alright, youngling, and yes, I've met with the Master Vampire. He has agreed to myself and my young companion to stay here for a while."

The demoness shifted the small bundle in her arms, not jostling the girl too much. She looked back at the girl and continued, "Oh, how rude of me. I am Akemi Kitsu, and the girl asleep is Star. It's a pleasure to meet a vampire youngling."

Akemi nodded to show that she heard about the library. She held Star and Kailin close, noticing the glance. It seemed the youngling needed to feed. The demoness kept her smile on her face, hearing the girl's hidden irratation about calling her a youngling. The demoness gave a tinkling laugh, smiling brightly. She shook her head as she replied to Alex, "Ah, but to me, you are a youngling, as is Zane, little one. I am over six thousand years old, though I don't look it at all. You need to feed, don't you?"
