There wasn't much more that he could do other than follow her. She'd knocked out the guy, and whoever he'd been attacking had escaped already. He wouldn't say that he was okay, exactly, but he was still able to walk and such, so letting a much more seasoned player in... whatever this was... lead the way was really all he could do.

Of course, he'd been sure to add a "And make sure he's arrested for mugging and theft!" before Zee could pull him to the bathroom with her. Er... hopefully the guy didn't have permanent head damage, though... And for that, all he could do was gawk at Zee in surprise. He also didn't really understand how people wouldn't be able to recognize them if they saw pictures of their powered and regular selves together, but he wasn't exactly in the position to argue.

"What are we doing in here...? It's not exactly the most sanitary place to look ourselves over... We should probably get to my place.... It's closest... Why are you climbing on the counter...?" Valhalla had been reduced to weak questionings and ramblings, his free hand pressed down on the cut across his arm, although he was pretty sure he'd lost a bit of blood already. In hindsight, they probably should have run. He was no fighter. He was a baseball player and didn't know two things about fighting.

He frowned up at her when she told him to hold on and tried to pull him up with her, but he'd already given up trying to figure out what was going on without her saying anything. He helped her a little by trying to climb up on the counter, himself, and thought he'd accidentally knocked her over and was worried about her breaking the mirror but... they never hit a solid surface. At least not any vertical surface...

Wow... if that didn't give him the strangest sense of vertigo...

Valhalla winced as they landed on carpet, but he blinked and pushed himself up to look around, wondering if he should be shocked or should just... give up trying to understand anything... "You've redecorated," he mumbled lamely, before laying back down on the carpet. Sitting up too quickly gave him a head rush... Ah, of course, he should probably try to not bleed all over her carpet.

"Ugh," Zia just flopped there on the carpet staring at her ceiling for a moment. The urge to power up in to a cat form was overwhelming. Going a night out on the town without staying as a cat? It was harder than she'd thought, which would've had unsettling implications in her mind if she was in any state to think of them.

She curled her body forward to force herself to sit up, the 'little nick' her side radiating some full fledged soreness all the way back to the sharp pain where it originated.

It didn't occur to her until just now that she probably could've mirrorwalked to Chris's bathroom. Tactical information and tidbits she'd been scrambling since becoming a cat were throw up all around her walls and desk, and she was quite certain now she didn't really want him to see.

Photos, floorplans, names of people to avoid, and notes were pinned, pasted, and scribbled on her lavender walls that hadn't been painted since she her family moved in. There was a list of parallel names with deceased, missing, home, or found next to each one, as well as a list of fallen BMC members with dates. Operation Rota data she felt important to remember, mirrors large enough to mirrorwalk through. It was chaos, all overlayed on the delicate room decor that hadn't changed since Zia was ten.

"Okay, power down, shirt off," She said in a tired but very 'lets get down to business' tone. She grabbed her old case from under her bed and popped it up to reveal a first aid kit with a few extra things thrown in. "I'll have to take a look but I don't think it's serious enough to go down to the red light district," She said, flopping down with her haul next to him.

"Red light district?" he asked warily, golden eyes opening again to look up at his childhood friend. "Do things like this happen often?" he wondered out loud, using his good arm to push himself back up, powering down as he did so and groaning at the stabbing pain as he awkwardly tried tugging his polo and undershirt up and over his head and injured shoulder.

This wasn't really something he'd been expecting. How could he have guessed they'd end up in Zia's room after all that?

"What happened?" he asked weakly, still struggling. "The mirror... Did we go through it? And are you okay? You were hit, weren't you? Do you need to see someone? Are you in pain anywhere? What if you got something broken? And what is all this??" he trailed off finally, glancing around the room. It made him feel almost sick... as if he didn't know her at all. "What is all this, Zee?" he repeated, turing to frown at her in concern, not sure about... any of this...

He felt horribly guilty for not having been closer to her in the past year. It was almost as if they'd grown apart and became completely different people, although he liked to think that he still knew her well enough. At least her mannerisms... No... those were different, too. Not completely, of course, but he had a feeling it had something to do with having another soul in her body.

"Or..." he started cautiously, watching her a bit sadly, "Are you not allowed to tell me...?"

He didn't blame her for wanting to keep secrets, but... it made him wonder just how much she was hiding from him.

"There's a makeshift place up there where they patched up my friends," Zia answered when he asked about the Red Light district, but she was already wiping away blood with an antibacterial wipe, trying to gauge if his injuries were really that serious.

"Yes, we went through it," She said, trying to tackle the barrage of questions in order as she doted and cleaned him up. "You get a funny costume and a compass and I get mirror magic. And also a funny costume, but you can't ever see that," She said, trying to keep a light, joking tone to the conversation, which also meant leaving out the fact that pulling him through had been utterly exhausting. "I got hit, we'll deal with that later. Does this look like you need stitches?" She asked, frowning as she leaned in closer to look at his shoulder.

"This is just... stuff," She sensed the sad tone in his voice and instantly wanted to just spill her guts about the Blood Moon Court, even though she had killed herself to keep that oath of secrecy thing. She was back to bickering with Zirconia's voice in her head, making her mouth twist into an annoyed little turn as she did so silently. "Its tactical information on my senshi," She said finally, and after feeling like she's sterilized his shoulder enough, started working on covering the open wound.

After that she pulled off her hoodie, revealing the white tank top beneath and the stark red stain on the side where she'd gotten hit with the knife, with some glimpses of a huge bruise forming down along the lower part of her side to be hidden by her jeans where she'd been kicked. She pulled the side of the sticky shirt up to show the cut, handing a fresh wipe to Chris with the unspoken request for help.

"As opposed to the hospital...?" he wondered, although it was mostly to himself. He knew they couldn't go to the hospital like this. What would they say there? What if they were put in danger? "Do I ever get to meet these friends of yours?" he asked a bit louder, feeling a pang of possessiveness for her, even if he tried not showing it. He'd been the one to be absent from her life for almost a whole year. And look what happened because of it. She was now some strange... mirror walking cat.

"Why can't I see?" he frowned, feeling rather childish for asking, not knowing if her joking tone meant she was serious and really didn't want him to see, and so she was making light of it, or if it was just... too ridiculous and embarrassing. Did she have another outfit, other than being a cat?

Chris shook his head when she asked about needing stitches. "No, I should be fine. Just a couple butterflies should be fine," he said, reaching out to take the clean wipe and gingerly wiping away the blood from Zia's wound. "What about you? Do you have enough bandages for this?" he asked, before lowering his voice. "We're not going to wake up your family, are we?" he asked, suddenly aware of the noise they were making.

He waited until he had all the blood cleaned up, before looking up at her again. "Tactical information on your senshi...?" he asked slowly, not really knowing if he was just... getting himself in too deep with all this. Sorry, but he'd known her for eight years... it was kind of difficult to get used to.

"Maybe. Or maybe you already have. They don't exactly go around announcing their association since..." Zia just kind of trailed off, peeling the backs off of the sticky part of the butterflies in her bag and pulling out her odds and ends of bandages to hold up in answer to his question.

When he asked about waking up her family, all she could do was snort. Two brothers living out of town, one banned from coming over, mom's narcissism and frat boy chasing, and dad mysteriously going AWOL every other day? Far as Zee was concerned they might as well have been on the moon.

Instead she just opted to continue rambling off answers to his questions. It felt like that was all she did, and it made her wonder how the hell she had become so far removed so quickly. What happened to the days when they knew each other so well the most pressing question was what to order on pizza?

"You can't see it because when I power up it sends out this massive energy beacon," she explained. "Every youma and Chaos agent within miles would be on it's way. And also because it is ridiculous," And then in a quick mumble she half hoped he wouldn't hear, "
Also, transforming into that outfit gives me a tail." She still had the capacity to feel weird about it, okay?! Being a full on cat was one thing, but a cat girl with her own face plus fluffy ears and tail was kind of awkward.

When he said 'her senshi' it was like she was suddenly caught between her more sensible oath of secrecy and Zirconia's habit of absolutely gushing. Still, she didn't want to come off all dark like she'd joined the mafia. Then again, given the comparison, that was hard. "It's kind of a long story," Zia said, hinting it was going to be another infodump like the Black Moon stuff. She did, however, pull down the neckline of her shirt just enough to show the branded crescent moon in her chest. "They're called the Blood Moon Court."

Chris frowned at how she seemed to trail off and change subjected every other sentence. What did she get herself into that had her so secret about everything? It was a little disheartening, not knowing what it was okay to talk about or not. When they talked about almost everything.

"So, you're a beacon for trouble. Yeah, I think I'll pass on seeing it then," he told her, hoping that would give her a little relief. He didn't want her stressed out. After all that they'd done. The failed 'lessons', getting beaten up and cut up and all that. He definitely hadn't meant for all that to happen, and he was worried that Zia wasn't taking care of her injuries like she was supposed to be and making sure to take care of him, instead.

"Blood Moon...?" he blinked at her in confusion, taking some bandages so he could try and get his friend patched up. If she held still long enough for him to do anything. He didn't want to cause her more pain, but it was a little difficult when they were both moving.

"Is this like your, uh... other universe thing...?" he wondered, not knowing what to expect any more. Usually he was pretty open about things, and he thought he was doing pretty well here, too, but... This was just getting beyond even his ability to understand what was going on.

Zia was pretty dismissive. As much as she wanted to get the Blood Moon court secrets weighing down her soul out in the open, tonight had been eventful enough, and it would've been unfair to dump all that on him for her own personal catharsis.

"Not really," She said with a minor shrug as she inspected her fancy new wound coverings and then his, just making sure everything was in order. Or as much as it could be. "I promise I'll tell you all about it later, though," She said and flopped back to sit on the floor with a sigh.

"You should sleep. Uh, I don't know if you want to go bother your parents this late... there's the guest room, it just needs some blankets. I guess I could try to mirrorwalk you home," She cringed a little at the thought of that, though. She hadn't mirrorwalked another person before and had no idea it would be as tiring as it was. But she didn't really want to tell him that.

Chris frowned when Zia didn't answer his questions, but he understood that it had been a long night already and getting sleep was the best thing for the moment.

"Okay, but I'll be expecting you to tell me. And the guest room is fine," he added, not wanting to go too far away from her when she was obviously hurt. Well, he got hurt, too, but if something happened and she ended up needing help in the middle of the night, he could at least try and help her. Or call the hospital.

"I know where the blankets are," he said, pushing himself off the ground and staggering a little as the blood rushed to his head, taking a few steps towards the door. He'd been over to her house how many times in the past how many years? He felt like their houses were interchangeable, even if he'd obviously not seen her new decorations for her room until now.

"Thanks for helping me out, Zee... Just call for me if you need anything," he told her, giving her a serious look. It might not be his house but he could at least give her a hand if she needed it. "I hope you sleep well."
