Ahhhh, why couldn't everyone be like her! Videogames weren't the bane of human civilization like some sticks in the mud seemed to think!
"You sound like a good teacher" He mused geniunely. "You seem to really care about them"
"It's a good thing you teach the younger grades, else you might have a whole slew of them chasing you." He teased, taking a moment to toss a grin and wink her way, even though it was unlikely she'd get a chance to see them so focused on the screen. Certainly she wouldn't miss his playful crooning of the old Van Halen song however, clashing terribly with the chipper Japanese screaming at them through the DDR speakers.
"I've got it bad. Got it bad. Got it bad. I'm hot for teacherrrrrrr." His foot slammed on the last arrow of the song in lucky unison with his own singing, and proceeded to dissolve into amused laughter.

"I try to be. Even though I'm just as art teacher." She smiled, "It's easier to care for them when you don't have anyone else to care for besides yourself."
She chuckled as she was keeping her eyes on the screen. "Uh-huh, that's why I don't teach the older kids, full of hormones and not thinking with their head."
Alexis started laughing when he was singing the Van Halen song, "I haven't heard that in ages."

"The little head is still a head..." He joked crudely in sing song. It didn't dawn on him that the comment might really turn her off, or even embarrass her. Nope.. he just grinned like he was one of those hormonal and immature teen boys.
Tapping the song selection button, he mused softly. "Last song, choose well."

Her eyes narrowed at him. "Yes well if their brain is there then it's awful small and no wonder America is falling behind in the education ratings." There was no laughing to that comment it sounded like a stern teacher that was ready to send a kid to the principals office for inappropriate behavior.
She choose another song, waiting for the game to begin.

Yowchh!
He looked very much like a wounded puppy at the stern look he received. Why she'd taken it so badly he wasn't certain, but he wasn't keen on upsetting her anymore.
Song chosen, he waited for the song to start as well, shifting from his left to right foot as the first set of arrows spiraled around the board.
"Is it seeming any easier to you know?" He asked lightly when they were about halfway through the song. Peace offering.. if a girl was upset, work on complimenting her, right?

Alexis' features had softened as she worked on the steps, she had even started humming with the song. "Yes, a little bit." She answered as if that one comment hadn't happened.
She took things as serious business, plus there was no sense in crud jokes like that in her mind. Even the romance books she picked up weren't that crud. She was moving quickly in time with the music keeping her eyes on the arrows. "By the way if your not married and ever want to catch a girl, I would stay away from certain jokes if I was you."

"Goooood" He replied genuinely. A new friend and customer was always a good thing!
He had thought she was going to simply be done with and ignore the comment. So when she brought it up again he couldn't help but laugh. Corey.. get married!? He didn't really see that ever happening. Unless he was maybe helping some girl get a green card.. or he got SO drunk that he married a stripper in vegas one night.
Seriously.. what girl would put up with his cheap lifestyle? Girls didn't want any scrubs as mentioned in many radio hits. She was sweet though for trying to help. "You're a peach Alexis"

Alexis nodded with a hum, though she paused when he started laughing to glance at him brow lofted, "Right. A peach..."
She shook her head and rolled her eyes as they finished up the game. "Hm... so you work here often?"

He stepped off of the machine as the game ended, watching the machine for the scoring more out of routine then actually caring. Her questions caught him by surprise. Ohhh! He hadn't ever said what he did did he?
"Pretty much everyday for atleast a few hours. I own the place actually."

She also stepped off watching the scores, it seemed to be at least decent instead of complete and utter fail. Her hands on her hips as she watched.
"Oh?" She paused and looked at him, "Interesting." She looked slightly impressed that he owned the place. "I suppose it keeps you busy then."

There was a look of pride on his face, the arcade was his baby. All the time and effort that was put into it.. the years of dreaming and the acheivement. Corey Boone would never tire of adoring his arcade, of showing it off to people and talking about how wonderful it was.
"It took me years of scrimping and saving but yep. She's all mine."
"It does. Busy but happy. Just like your teaching huh?"

Creating a new arcade fan was a thrilling feeling, even if she might only ever come to play the dancing game and nothing else. About as thrilling and pleasant as making a new friend.
