Valhalla stumbled backwards, feeling pathetic for breathing heavily already. He sputtered in exasperation at the senshi when she said she couldn't kill it with her attack. "I have a compass! I can't do anything!" he called to her, making sure to get out of the youma's way as it let out an angry roar and started getting back up.
Okay, so maybe he had more than just a compass. He had sheer strength on his side. On their side. They were doing this as a team, right? He couldn't just run through and try to kill the monster on his own. Not if he didn't want to end up in the hospital or something.
"Finding something sharp sounds like a good idea," he said, making his way over to where she was for a few moments, before darting off to find something to that exact description. "It would have been more convenient if this thing had attacked us in a hardware store... and not a library." Because seriously. Where were they going to find something sharp enough to ---
"What about that?? Think that's good??" he called to the senshi, pointing up at a horribly chosen piece of decoration. One he really hoped wasn't something Tony was fond of. It was a swordfish, mounted up on a piece of wood, hanging just above either of their reach.
"I could lift you up?" he suggested, not knowing how she felt about that. "Or we can stack books..." but the first option would definitely be faster.

"You obviously have some muscle!" she retorted, knowing that if he didn't have any strength, she'd be out her one chance at an attack and they'd both possibly be dead. With the youma closing in on them, they couldn't possibly go for a weapon without risking their lives. The last thing she wanted was to be out of commission with a library full of innocent people. As a senshi and defender of justice, she simply couldn't do that.
Valhalla then pointed to... was that a swordfish? Why didn't she notice something that tacky before? It was definitely their best bet, but the youma was getting ready to charge them right then and there. There wasn't any time to waste. Putting herself between the page and the beast, Kallichore called up her attack, hoping this one time would be enough to stop it. "Surge of the Maddened!" she cried, arms windmilling to kick up the grey mist associated with her attack. It floated through the air as the youma closed the distance between itself and the powered individuals, aiming for and disappearing into the beast's head. At first, the attack didn't seem to do anything, until... the youma suddenly veered left and shrieked, bashing itself into a large bookcase for no real reason.
Once that was over, Kallichore blinked and shook her head. Focus! "Yes, lift me up, please. It'll be faster. We don't have much time. Twenty nine... twenty eight... twenty seven..." She was counting down the time she predicted they'd have before her attack wore off. While the youma was busy tearing up old books, they could have the time to get the swordfish down and possibly finish it off.

Well, yeah, he had some muscle, but that didn't mean he knew how to fight! Just because he stayed in shape didn't mean he knew what to do in a fight against a monster! But no, he would much rather not leave all these innocent people in the jaws and claws of a monster, especially one like this.
Valhalla watched in surprise as the girl called out her attack, before quickly moving over to where the fish was hanging on the wall. He held his hands together and offered them for her to step on. "What did you do to it?" he sputtered, glancing over at the monster that was now seeming to freak out. Then again, the most magic he'd been exposed to was his own strange outfit, the magic attack of a cat who just happened to be his best friend... and the when that same best friend pulled him with her through a mirror. Being able to call out magic attacks and making monsters do things was... new to him. Even Camelot didn't have magic like that...
"Grab it!" he called up at her, making sure she'd stepped on his hands before lifting her up, hopefully high enough for her to get the fish. He was hoping Tony hadn't been the one to catch the fish. If anything they were doing the library a favor by getting rid of it.
"And why are you counting??" he sputtered again, trying not to ask too many questions but... he was curious!

"Fifteen... fourteen... thirteen..." Kallichore kept on counting, making sure to step up properly to reach at the swordfish on the wall. It was mounted in some way, but desperate times called for desperate measures and after a few forceful tugs, the catch was pried from the wall. Once the senshi was back on solid ground, she found the fish was quite heavy and tried to hand it to Valhalla. "Somehow, I think you'll do better with this than I will..."
Turning back to the youma, her countdown was ending and it was slowly righting itself. It would eventually find that the bookcase was not a giant human with an even more giant starseed, which meant it would be dangerous again soon. She tried to explain while the page readied himself. "I made it see and hear things that aren't there, and it only lasts about thirty seconds... hence the countdown. Time's up now. Get ready."
On cue, the youma lurched up and turned around, looking utterly scandalized and completely consumed by anger. It roared, finding that it wasted a great deal of energy tearing apart something that wasn't a tasty human. Fortunately for the two good guys, youma didn't have much in the way of brains or a thought process. It didn't dwell too long on its mistake and slowly stalked towards Valhalla, trying to look as menacing as possible. What was the puny human going to do with a silly fish? Naturally it thought the fish was just a chaser to two good meals.

"Ah, I see," Valhalla mumbled, taking hold of the heavy fish once it was taken down and handed off to him. Right... wielding a swordfish with a wooden plaque and all. No problem. This probably wasn't one of his best ideas, but at least it gave them something to work with, right? Maybe?
The page grimaced when the youma turned to him and the senshi, and quickly tried to get a better grip on the fish. "Here goes nothing," he said under his breath, before charging forward, swinging the fish hard at the youma's head. At the critical part of the swing, though, Valhalla found out that the tail probably wasn't the best place to hold onto a taxidermic fish. It broke off with a strange crack that was reminiscent of fiberglass breaking, and was hurled at the youma, clipping the monster in the side of the head and taking it down.
To his surprise, the monster burst into a cloud of dust and Valhalla blinked stupidly at the spot where it had just been standing. Wow, okay then.
"Uh... well, s**t," he mumbled, glancing around the library at the rubble that had been left in the wake of the attack. "Are you okay?" he called as he made his way over to the senshi to see if she'd been injured at all. "I don't think Tony is going to be very happy about this..."

The senshi was dumbfounded and stood with her mouth agape, but was rather impressive. Nobody died and while the library's front end was in ruins, there was no blood on anyone's hands. "I... I'm fine. That poor fish, though... and Tony's desk..."
Silently, she mourned what was left of Tony's desk. No doubt the librarian would be rather pissed when he came back to find that a youma had done some serious breakdancing in his library and that his fish was toast. She wondered if telling Tony that two people came in to save them would soften the blow a bit. "Who knew that fish-swinging was another one of your talents? I hope Tony wasn't too fond of it. And thank you for your help." I couldn't have taken this thing out without your help, that's for certain.
Several people who were hiding in various parts of the library were coming out, looking about to try and find the creature. Many were wary and many others didn't notice the youma was gone until they saw the two costumed people standing around. That must mean everything was okay, right? Slowly, some rose to clap for the two of them, and others went to thank them individually. Kallichore tried her best to be cordial, but found herself blushing beet red instead. She'd never really been thanked before.
One young lady in particular ran up to Valhalla and gave him a smooch on the cheek. "Thanks for savin' us, handsome!" she said and bounced out the door to call her parents and tell them she loved them.

Yeah, they would definitely need to figure out what to do about Tony's desk, but he didn't get to tell Kallichore he had... a small idea of what he could do to make up for the damages. Instead, he was a bit shocked and felt rather out of place as people thanked them and the one girl even kissed him, to which he sputtered and blushed and watched as she ran off. He hadn't minded it! It was just unexpected.
He reached out to offer his hand to Kallichore once the people started breaking up and leaving library of rubble, taking her hand to shake it. "Thanks. And don't worry about the desk, I've got some money to get it replaced," he told her, not thinking it was that big of a deal. His college funds had been sitting unused and collecting dust since he'd won his scholarship, so the only reasonable thing he could think of doing with it was... turn it into his Valhalla funds.
He just hoped his parents wouldn't ask him why a few hundred dollars was suddenly missing from it.
"So much for my paper..." he mumbled, glancing around to try and figure out where it had gone to. Thankfully he'd saved it on his flash drive before printing it out. "Anyway... we shouldn't be hanging around here like this. It might draw in more." Or at least that was what he'd been told could happen.

Chuckling to herself, Kallichore smiled and took Valhalla's extended hand in a shake. Of all the knights she'd met, he might have been the favorite. When he offered to have the desk replaced with his own money, it was the senshi's turn to sputter and shake her head. "I would think Tony would have youma insurance by now. I mean, we could be witnesses and everything, giving testimonials if he needed them... But you have a point. Maybe bring it up with Mr. Darrow some other time?"
The sight of the desk made her cringe, but being without a job, she couldn't offer to help pay for it. Kallichore scratched her head and sighed. With as much time as she spent training to be a senshi, she didn't have much time to earn money and her family wasn't anything above your standard middle class. Looking up, the knight explained their presence may bring more damages and she wholeheartedly agreed. "You're certainly right. But don't worry - your secret is safe with me. I hope mine is as safe with you?"
Paper aside, if destiny taught her anything, it was never to underestimate someone from your own planetary system. The longer Kallichore remained a senshi, the more and more Jovians seemed to be popping up. That thought made her smile. Turning towards the door, the super senshi made her way out with the intent on disappearing and powering down to blend into the general populous. Before she left though, she looked over her shoulder at the knight. "Thank you, Valhalla." And with that, she sprinted off into the open air.
