He contemplated this suggestion, not really sure if it was a good idea. He actually hoped he hadn't woken the snake up.
"I'm... not sure if he'd be much help," he admitted. "He's still young, and tends to not take his hunting seriousl-"
A splashing sound and decrease in weight around his shoulders alerted him to the water, where the snake was already wreaking havoc.
"EARTHBOUND!"
His voice was lost to the splashing of an overly-excited snake and terrified fish. He had the strongest urge to raise his hoof to his face, but managed to refrain himself from it, and only turned around to apologize to the doe, who was probably wondering what in the world was happening.
"I'm... really sorry," he replied. "I-"
He was interrupted as he felt a nudge against his leg and looked down at a wriggling Earthbound, who seemed to have actually caught a fish, by the tail, albeit small.
"Well, I'll be..."

"Aw, what a smart little snake!" Free grins, tail swishing slowly, and slowly made her way over to him. She lowered her head, inviting him to crawl up onto her shoulders. "Little fisher, come on...Let's put it into the pool with the other, so he won't be lonely..."

Earthbound cocked its head at Freely before tilting his head back, and with a swift motion, swallowed the fish whole. He then proceeded to slither up Free's shoulder, curling around her neck and flickered his tongue in her ear.
No words could express the look of horror on Whistle's face as he stared dumbfounded at the snake, who seemed to grin happily and was oblivious to his previous action.

Free sat still a moment, her ear twitching slightly when the snake licked it, and then she sighed deeply. "He's young... It's ok, he'll learn, I hope...poor fish..." she chuckled slightly, shaking it off. It had always amazed her how snakes swallowed things whole like that. It was fascinating to watch, and somewhat terrifying. She sometimes had nightmares about massive snakes, big enough to eat a Kimeti. She'd never seen or heard of one, but still, the fear was there. "Well, I suppose I have enough fish for now... would you like to come with me, then? And perhaps you could carry the fish out of the way of the little fisher..."

"I... I'm so terribly sorry!"
Grasswhistle could only hang his head in shame.
"Y-yes, of course..."
He walked up next to her and gave a stern glare at Earthbound.

Free chuckled at the stern glare, and then turned, towards the other fish she'd caught earlier in the tidepool, before fetching a roughly hewn plank of wood, and dipping it into the water- it held an inch or two- and then carefully held the fish in it, by its tail, and motioned for Grass to follow, quickly, setting off towards her Glade quietly.
