Open houses were clearly not for Thanatos. The Fae-hound was completely and utterly bewildered by the situation that he'd found himself in, and had slunk away from the crew at the cafeteria without so much as a goodbye. Though he liked some of them well enough, they seemed altogether more interested in teasing one another, and before long, the wee pup had become terribly confused by the flow of conversation. Too many noises, too many things assaulting his senses.
Scurrying away, he'd found himself by the Host Club's booth, and slipping into a chair, picking a table that he could currently have to himself, he supposed this to be a less frenzied area of activity. Crossing his dainty fingers, the Fae-hound's tail curled around the back of his chair, and then he rested his chin across intertwined fingers, strands of ebon hair brushing the tablecloth. "Than is not sure mummy was right..." He murmured to himself, though he knew full well that he'd enroll, if it would make his parents proud. Hey, Thanatos wasn't above working for a pat on the head at times, especially if that pat came from his illustrious sire.
Curiously, he then sank down lower in his chair, eyeballing the teacups. Those were quite pretty! And the tip of the pup's tail began to wag timidly at the prospect of something tasty, as he'd bailed from the cafeteria before sustenance had been acquired. He'd failed to take notice of just what sort of booth this was, but at the moment, he didn't truly care. Slowly, his good eye turned to scan the occupants of the other tables. Was this a party? Than liked parties!

Since it seemed that Night was taking care of Cady's order, Aksaja nodded to him and started to move away, but then another ghoul walked up and sat down beside the mummy ghoul. Aksaja thought for a moment that she might be related to Jericho, as she seemed rather . . . flame-y. But no, she had some kind of tail made of feathers, so probably not. "Welcome to the Host Club booth, miss," he greeted her with a little bow, handing over another menu. "I am the President and founder, Aksaja. Please take a look at the menu and I'll be right back to take your order, if you see anything that you like."
Then, leaving the Resident Cat to serve the two ghouls, the lightning dragon moved over toward the other newcomer, a slight, dark-haired boil seated at another table. "Hello there," he said, smiling faintly. This one looked rather interesting. A bit similar to some of the canine students but there was . . . something else about him that most of them didn't possess. "My name is Aksaja, and welcome to the Host Club booth."

As she completed her order, Cady suddenly remembered the reason she really disliked tea.
It took. Time.
She had learned from Gladys that tea was a ritual, not just a beverage - it had to be allowed to steep for the appropriate amount of time, and must be sipped, not gulped down, because it usually came in two varieties - dragon's-breath-hot and tepid-water-lukewarm. Either would be an unpleasant surprise, as she'd learned on more than one occasion.
So she waited for her host (is that what they called them?) to wander away with her order so she could slink off. Just the THOUGHT of having to wait on something FOR LIKE POSSIBLY FIVE MINUTES made her eye twitch a little.

((Entering from the Library))
She closed the door to the library behind her, a sort of sorrow for leaving the place fell over her, though sucking in a breath she dusted the emotional of loss from her knowing she'd return once she'd found some water. With that she headed off into the stream of students and prospectives which seemed to move with a steady current around the schools corridors. Eventually she came across a booth, she gave it a sideways glance before dismissing it, knowing she simply wanted to get some hot water from the cafeteria however she took a double take and a single back step, slowly reading over the sign, 'The Host Club'; interesting but it wasn't that which had drawn her attention it was the collection of cups and saucers which waited to be filled with tea that drew her attention.
She looked behind the booth at the small collection of tables and chairs, noting none seemed to be free now. She quickly glanced about and noted their occupants and then concluded the wolf like creature with the eye patch seemed to be a little shy, looking about the place nervously; she hoped they'd not engage her in conversation, she wasn't one for idle conversation and the others looked to be more eager to chatter. Slowly she made her way over to the table, letting her satchel slip from her shoulder to the floor next to her and sitting herself down.
She stared across the table at the creature with the black mop of hair and the spiral like horns adorned with a sting of blue beads, her blue eyes sparkling over the top of her glasses. 'Morning, hope you don't mind me joining you.' Then without waiting for a reply she turned her head and watched and waited to see if someone was going to come over to serve them or if they were expected to go up to the booth.

Nekhbet smiled pleasurably at the rather flattering boil who had come to serve her and gratefully took the menu from him to look it over. There were so many choices to choose from and all of them seemed to fit her so perfectly. Taking her time looking over the different options Nek had just passingly noticed the server had disappeared to help other boils and ghouls as they arrived. Humming happily to herself as she flipped the menu over to look at the other choices, Nek looked up as another young ghoul approached her table. This one didn't look like she was here to take her order though.
Nek's red eyes silently followed the bright girl ((Ritzpah)) as she sad down, blinking in a friendly manner before smiling at the ghoul. "Hello, you may call me Nekhbet, or Nek for short if you must." Manners where not her strong hold at all, though that didn't make her unfriendly. "It's nice to have some company." She smiled

(( ACK! Sorry, internet crapped out entirely yesterday. =-= ))
And there he went again! Jack-damned zoning out just like he had at the FEARleaders' booth . . . At that time he had attributed it to his rotting brain not being good at registering so many hot ghouls in one place.
This time, he suspected the ribbons did it. Fancy ribbons.
Fat ol' Hurley gave a yawn and stretch, looking about at the newly arrived (and the still-there's), and tried to remember what the last piece of conversation had been. He was addressing Scorpion Tail and the mummy - who he realized was naming herself Nekhbet - and . . . that was it.
Fail, brain. Fail.
Scratching under his hat, the boomer turned about in his chair (or rather, made it turn with him) to face the others. "Can't say I've had this stuff before. Any of you guys know what 'tea' s'like?"

Yuki had gravitated toward the booth, mainly because it looked quite refined in comparison to some of the others that he had passed. Most importantly, it seemed like a calm, relaxing atmosphere was this group's intention. Smiling his approval, the boil selected a seat at one of the black-clothed tables, waiting patiently for a host to become available."What's this and why wasn't I invited?"
Deacon approached the booth, his gaze studying the setup critically. Thankfully, if he disapproved of anything he saw, he didn't say so.
"Who's in charge of this little gang?" The bakeneko asked, apparently expecting someone to leap to attention. "I want in."

((Silver - correct me if I'm wrong, but you may be getting gender mixed up? Boil=boy and Ghoul=girl ^^;; I don't mean to admonish, It was just bothering me a little while reading >< ))
Ritzpah also took the menu given to her, and peered at it. She perked up considerably. They did, in fact, have her favorite tea, and even a few sweets she could eat - she was, after all, a vegetarian.
Smiling brightly, she turned to the mummy she's sat next to, "Hello, it's very nice to meet you Nekhbet. And I agree, sitting alone at a party like this is not very enjoyable." She smiled, utilizing all the manners her mother taught her.
Before she could introduce herself, the boil at the next table over piped up with a question she surely knew the answer to. She turned towards him, while being careful not to lean too far, as discluding Nekhbet would be rude~!
"Tea is made from pumpkin leaves. It's steeped and boiled until it's nice and dark. It flavors the water, and you can add other flavors to it or drink it plain. My personal favorite is just plain pumpkin tea," She stated, beaming, "Oh, and forgive me for not introducing myself. My friends call me Rizzie, and I do so hope to call you both my friends..." She blushed slightly, her cheeks turning darker orange.

Hurley hadn't the slightest why the ghoul was blushing, or why she would immediately jump to the conclusion that they would be friends, but one thing was for sure: he could tell "Rizzie" was a phoenix by the feathers.
Phoenix equaled fire. Fire equaled bad. Add in his suspicion about someone jumping so readily into the "friendship" stage, and the zombie couldn't help but narrow his eyes a bit as he replied, "Sure?" in a skeptical manner.
He wasn't the sort to "play with fire" . . . at least not literally.
Good thing they were at separate tables.
"So . . . we're basically drinking leaf-flavored water," Hurley paraphrased in a flat, unimpressed tone at the idea. "Awesome. Always wanted to try that." The only thing keeping him then would be treats, assuming this Host Club wasn't biased against the undead. Which it might very well be for all he knew: thus far he had only seen "pretty" boils, from the top-hat'd dragon to the newly arrived black cat in a tux, to the even newer (and equally feline, though what specifically Hurley couldn't tell) boil who asked a question upon entering.
"Go ask him," Hurley said, pointing out the lightning-marked boil just as a dark-haired visitor sat at a table.

Oh! Wait! Someone was talking to him. Head snapping up, ears perking to full attention on either side of his head, twitching just slightly in curiosity, he lifted his noise and took a faint sniff at the boil that had approached him. Apparently this was.... "Booth is Aksaja's?" He inquired, before extending one clawed hand to the other, as he was fairly sure that was the correct social protocol, and that his father would be proud of him. A slowly-growing grin began to appear on the pup's lips, and he eyed the dragon from head to toe. Ooooh. He had pretty hair. *Q* Honestly, Thanatos rather wondered just how long it took the other to brush it mornings...it looked soft, and the Fae-hound was rather inclined to pet it. Now...if only he'd get closer... "This one is Thanatos!" And now that tail was making thump-thump noises against the furniture. One on one encounters he could handle, so he didn't have to split his rather enthusiastic attention between entire crowds of individuals. This pretty-lizard didn't make his head swim.
Nearly jumping when he realized he was no longer alone, his violet eye widened comically as the lass (goodness didn't she look sophisticated! AND she had pretty hair too!) sat down at his table, and took a gander at him over her spectacles. OvO "Morning....?" Morning? It was morning? WAS it morning? Ah well, it didn't matter in the long run! Regaining his puppyish manner in rather short order, he leaned over the tablecloth once more. "Hi-hi! Not bothersome! Thanatos says hullo~ And that your hair is very eye-catchinglovelyness!" There was a bit of a sagely nod from the horned youth, and he chuckled softly. "Do you like open houses? There are a lot of people. " Waving his hands, gesturing to the largeness of the place and the crowds that frequented it. Honestly, he was wondering if he'd even MET this many people over the expanse of his short life.

See stared over to the booth and then scanned over the other tables, there seemed to be a waitress of sorts swanning from table to table handing out menu's and collecting orders. She waited the ghoul for a bit and absently began to tap her fingers on the table top next to her, then hearing the Boil across the table from her utter something she reluctantly turned to face the coming conversation but it wasn't her that he appeared to be talking to it seemed, her eyes followed his line of sight and she then saw the well dressed boil with massive orange and black wings protruding from his back. She eyed him approvingly other the top of her glasses and then quickly quizzed him, 'Your the host then? Is it possible to get some hot water, you see I have my own teapot and I simply wanted to make a brew and then head back to the Library and settle down.' Before she got an answer however the Boil with the eye patch spoke up.
She twisted her head back to focus her piercing orbs on him, 'Morning?' she questioned him back... oh yes she'd woken late this morning, she shifted slightly in her seat to undercover her pocket watch, flipped the clasp open and stared at it's face and then back into the hourglass iris of the creature across from her, 'Afternoon.' She nodded as if making a second greeting and then with a slight paused she added, 'Thanatos.' His remark however passed her by or though it seemed to at a first glance but absently she rose a hand to her ginger nut mop upon her head and fiddled with a tiny strand of hair, flickering her eyes to the floor, it was rare anyone ever paid her compliments.
His voice drew her eyes back quickly and her hand came down to rest on the table top one finger tapping a single drum upon it's surface, 'Not really, I'm guessing your not either.' A second finger drummed the table top and she flickered a half smile at Thanatos, her eyes sparkling and then she cast a look at the well dressed boil, 'So, the water?'

Cat had been eyeing this booth from a distance for some time. He didn't know what it was about, though he had received a message online requesting him to come by. It was not any of that which attracted him, no, it was the tea. He ached to sit at their dainty little table, sip from their precious little tea cups, and...
And...
Experience sophistication. Yes, sophistication, the one thing that drove him above and beyond to achieve higher levels and better techniques for his own public interactions.
Just when he had the booth in sight, Cat realized he had lost track of a certain someone along the way. When he let go of her waist he had assumed she would follow him, but...
With a sigh, Cat moved to take an uninvited seat at the table to wait for Aislin.

About fifteen minutes later the banshee ghoul in question appeared. She trotted over to the little table Cat sat at and felt a little part of herself stir happily. This. This table was perfect. She sat down daintily, one leg crossing over the other, and sighed. Ahh... relaxation, satisfaction. It might seem like she was made of perpetual motion but sometimes Aislin did enjoy sitting down and just resting for a bit. Now was certainly one of those times.
She had hidden the evidence of her visit to the pink booth perfectly - exactly where she'd stashed all of the other goodies she'd received from that place. Someplace safe within the building. She carried only one thing in her arms, which she now set down on the table between them. It was a box, dented in and a little bit worn out. On it were colorful images of kitties made of tarts.
With a demure smile Ash leaned forward on the table with her elbows, bringing her hands together palm down and resting her chin on the backs of her hands. She smiled at Cat, a smile he would be proud of. Very Cheshire like. Very sharp. "I'm sorry I've been leaving you behind so much, Cat. You do forgive me, don't you? Here. I found this. Someone had abandoned it I think. I want you to have it. Won't you take it?"

"You were at the gaming booth again, weren't you?"
Cat didn't sound angry, nor dissapointed. In fact, his tone seemed to have finally returned to normal after all the excitement and frustration. He did, however, sound unsurprised and slightly amused. And how could he be mad? She had bought him a very cute and very sweet smelling gift.
Indeed he was proud of the Smile she gave, returning it with his own well practiced grin as he wordlessly accepted the colorful box into his arms. Not a second later it was sucked into his stomach to join the other souvenirs he had won, and he settled his elbows on the table to relax.
There was a slight pause, punctuated with a relaxed sigh, before he spoke again.
"Of course I forgive you, pumpkin."

Ash's spine went rigid. Then just as soon as she'd stiffened up she relaxed, pointedly not looking at Cat and instead reaching across the booth to rest her hand over Cat's still intact one in an attempt to draw his attention towards anything but where she had been previously. She didn't want to admit to him that she had indeed been back there.
"So!" She leaned forward, cloud of flaxen hair wafting lazily about her head as she cracked open her eyes at her companion. "What do you think of Amityville Acadamy so far? Everything you wanted it to be? Is there everything that you've read about here? I know I'm certainly excited to have my papers go through to become a student here. Perhaps reading might be a little interesting..."
The banshee glanced around, chin tilted upwards as she searched for someone to take their order. No one was approaching but ah well. That wasn't too much of a trouble, it was nice to be able to just sit in this lovely, secluded, not busy area for a few moments.
