Camelot was at that moment extremely fortunate that Lina was, at the core, a restrained young woman. A normal girl her age filled with the same amount of happiness that spurted through her at the request she help him do exactly what she was determined to do would have thrown her arms around him. Instead he simply got an ecstatic smile, a hand held out for a handshake. "Shake on it? I'll help you as much as I can and you can help me as much as you can. Maybe teach me a bit about restraint and...thinking about someone else other than yourself? I really want to be better at that." Learning was something she didn't mind when there was a lapse in her education.

As long as it wasn't Shakespeare. The moment Camelot started quoting Shakespeare at her she was gone, maybe that should be mentioned? Nah. How many people not Mr. Gordon randomly spouted Shakespeare?

Hopefully no one.

A beeping sound went off next to the girl's ear, head whipping around like something had tapped her on the shoulder with a single grimy claw. The scouter that normally existed over her eye, her only weapon against the forces of the Negaverse, magically appeared. She skimmed the horizon for a moment, nodded, and gestured at her fellow knight. "We should probably get out of here. My scouter's picking up some serious dark energy which means probably one of the Nega higher-ups is out and about causing trouble. We don't want to get involved with that." Not now, anyway.

Camelot was very happy to have run into the knight, and he was eager to learn everything she could teach him. And he would be a good student, despite the fact that their ages seemed to have their situations reversed. He was well within the common age group for teachers and professors, and she was perfectly suited to being a student. But that didn't bother Camelot in the slightest.

Perhaps because he knew there was plenty he could teach her, as well.

The page of earth nodded his head solemnly, but his expression split into a warm and tender smile as she offered him her hand. He took it firmly and gave it a solid shake, gripping it as he looked her in the eye.

"We'll help each other. I will aid you in every respect, and with whatever you ask me to. You might get more lessons from me then you actually want or need, in fact, but I am at least warning you now." He chuckled, knowing full well that he would not be able to keep himself from playing the role of a parent, or at least an uncle or caring older friend with such instincts. She had fair warning though, and that meant he was more than welcome to do just as he imagined he would.

"You probably already know how to think of others, the thing you're not good at is reacting to thoughts," his ears might have flickered if he were an animal, hearing the slight beeping from the device she wore. He looked around, reaching out with his own senses and being unable to detect the energy she meant. It must have been further away than he was able to pick up.

But she didn't look too happy about what she had found.

"Is someone in danger?" He asked, his expression growing tense. "Someone might be getting hurt. Don't you think we should at least check it out?" Camelot certainly did have a lot to learn, such as picking his moments of heroism. He had a bad case of a hero complex, and his first instinct, in any mention of trouble, was to head toward it and try to spare any civilian or innocent involved in it the trouble.

Snagging Camelot by the arm, for she could see that he was already rearing to go after whatever intruder upon the nighttime peace he could find, Lina Knight shook her head firmly. "There's nothing you can do and that's something that you need to learn right now, Page." There was just a light hint of command in her voice, a carryover from teaching her eager lieutenants how to not get themselves killed almost instantly by taking on more than they could chew. Ironic, really, that she'd taught such things but couldn't abide by them herself.

"This is a strong, dark energy. Strong enough to be felt through half the town which means that there is a great deal of that energy inside of a person. I know of only one with that strength, General-Queen Tanzanite." The name was said with a flicker of haunted despair, emotions rippling through her eyes before they were turned away so he could see no more into her feelings. "She can fly you know. But she can kill me with nothing more than a sweep of her great arm. You she wouldn't even toy with but simply rip your life from your chest like you were nothing more than a child." Lina's voice was matter-of-fact, making what she was saying all the more incredible.

The hand that had been curled into Camelot's uniform to restrain him eased into her simple hand on his forearm. "If ever there were a time to pick your battles it would be now. Go home, live another day, and if you ever see her run as fast as you can in the other direction unless you have a royal at your back. Don't be like me." With that she smiled and started to move through the night, away from the power he could probably now feel brushing against his duller senses.

"Live to save more lives, right? Thank you so much...I'll find you again soon." Of that there would be no doubt.

Camelot looked at her and his expression softened. He nodded his head slowly, understanding her concern. It would be unwise to run in against an opponent he had no hope of defeating, though his urge to save all lives he could was ordering him not to be a coward and go help the defenseless.

He buckled at the authority in her voice. He wasn't used to having someone ordering him around, but with her status as a knight, far higher and more powerful than the newbie he was, he felt a surge of respect and loyalty. He bowed his head a bit, looking at the floor thoughtfully and with no small amount of chagrin.

He had seen Tanzanite before, the woman creature with the wings. She hadn't bothered with him, but now he wondered if he had just been lucky.

"Live to save more lives," he said, smiling and nodding his head appreciatively. He could see there was a lot more to her than he knew, but he wanted to learn more about her. Take care of her, as well, though he imagined that was a silly thing to think. Still, she needed someone, that much he could tell, and she had already won over his paternal instincts. There would be no getting rid of him now.

He watched her as she moved off, resolved not to go toward the danger, her warning well heeded. He looked forward to seeing her again.
