He couldn't help but blink and tilt his head to the side when she mentioned that he should always be wary of girls. She was a bit confused by that statement until she made it clear why. "Oh!" He chuckled as he nodded. "I admit you have a point. Girls can be scary when they want." He smiled at her. "Or if Im around you could always call for me. If I'm around I'll come rescue you." He stood. "Fish sounds good. Its been a wile since I have had fish." He smiled. "Would you like to lead the way to the stream? I don't really know my way around here vary well." He added a chuckle on the end.

She just smiled back sweetly as he seemed to ponder what she said. She figured Amun would eventually figure out it out. He was a smart phim and no one ever came up with brilliant things on an empty stomach. “Oh it’s one of our many traits. You see Men get to be all tough and courageous and swoop in and save the day. Women get to be crafty and sneaky and scary when angry. Alright then I shall count on you to be the knight in shiny armor, although how you are going to get a steed puzzles me” Hijiki chuckled. “Alright follow me then” she replied with a nod and hummed something that sounded strangely like ‘we’re following the leader’

"Ahhh I see. Now it all makes sense." Amun smiled. "Well we men do love to save the day." He chuckled. "We love the attention we get for the girls. They always love a man who would sacrifice themselves for a pretty girl." He teased then laughed at her steed comment. "I have wings... I don't think i need a steed." Smiling he nodded when she told him to follow her. "This reminds me of follow the leader."

“Yes tis the natural order of things” Hijiki said seriously although there was an undercurrent of something else like she was holding back her laughter. “Well actually we love bravery and all that but at the end of the day what truly matters is not that the man went off and sacrificed himself but he came home safety, honor be damned. As my dad used to say you can always lose your honor but once your dead it stays lost so run away to fight another day and reclaim it” she nodded. “Aww but knights have horses, ah that is because it is follow the leader”

Amun smiled at her. "I suppose that is true. I myself would rather come home safely and not dead." he chuckled. "Well your father is a vary smart man. What he says is true..." He then thought about it. "thought Im not sure it Im vary concerned with honor all that much." He smiled. "But im not must of a coward ether. I can tell when im outnumbered or if I cant handle the trouble but its not so easy for me to run away... especially is someone I care about is in trouble..."

“Well its an important thing for all knights, honor and cool looking horses” Hijiki teased and then pushed aside some of the shrubbery as she continued making her way to the fishing spot. “But daddy was a very smart man, he was” Hijiki stated, her dad had passed away a few years ago, having had Hijiki when he was older than normal. “Well I think the important person would want you to run away with them. After all like I said its lovely being protected but knowing another got them selves hurt or dead in your name causes all sorts of bad problems.”

He chuckled at her horse comment. "Yes well... sadly I don't think a horse would be too happy to have me try to riding me." He smiled as he followed her. "He seems to be." Was his response to her father being smart. "I do agree that it is better to run away with your loved ones rather then stay and fight." He then paused for a moment. "But... if any of my loved ones were in great danger and would die if I didn't fight... I would rather fight and die knowing I saved the ones that I loved then watch them die..."

“Mmm I guess its true, I’ve watched some times when they don’t even like humans riding them” Hijiki admitted. Then she listened to talk about standing up and fighting. “I would do so as well, and I kind of did end up in a situation like that. Only I was forced to leave my home and I think it really hurt my sister. So I always try to think of the foxes left behind as well. What they will go through when you go.” Hijiki mused. “Ah enough slightly depressing talk. Looks like we finally got to the river” She stated shaking off her downcast mood.

"Agreed." Amun smiled at her. "We should be talking about other things. Like... Hm..." Of course it was then that he couldn't think of anything he could tell her. It was true he wanted to change the subject but now that he mentioned it he had no idea what he could talk to her about. His life wasn't one to be vary exciting. Tilting his ears back he tried to think of something to say when she mentioned that they were at the river. "Oh!" He looked up and smiled. "Perfect. Im starved."

Hijiki hid a slight little chuckle. Poor Mister Amun definitely needed some more excitement to talk about in his life. Perhaps in this trip Hijiki could give something for Amun to talk about to his other friends. “Well its good we finally arrived then, I would hate for you to die of starvation” she smiled watching as a fish leapt up to clear an obstacle on their way upriver. “Its definitely the season here for fishing” she replied watching as another one jumped out of the river.

"Ah ha..." Amun chuckled nervously as he scratched under his chin with his foot. "Well... I would really hate to die of starvation too." He smiled down at her then blushed when his stomach growled. "Heh... So what do you say you and I go get some of those good fish jumping out over there?" He stood and flapped his wings a few times to stretched them out. "I know im starving."

Hijiki nodded, she wasn’t actively hungry at the moment but then again one shouldn’t wait until they were completely starving because then you had already hurt the body. Or so she had been told. “Alright then I’ll leave you for a small bit Mr. Amun.” Oh she had called him mister again hadn’t she? Well old habits tended to die hard. Hmm perhaps after she got her share of fish she could get some herbs and berries to compliment the fish. Tasty food was good.

"Leave?" He tilted his head to the side. "where are you going?" He blinked. The fish were right there in front of them... unless thats what she ment by she was going to leave him. "Well I suppose as long as your not going to abandon me it will be fine." He smiled. "Im a vary fragile male I'll have you know. If you leave me I may cry." He was of course kidding.

“Just to get fish and maybe some berries and herbs” She chuckled. “Don’t worry I Hijiki will not leave you in that sense for a while.” She smiled before hopping over to go get her fish. “Aww don’t cry, it might disillusion the pretty girls who think you’re a knight in shining armor.” She teased. Hmmm now how many fish did she want to go after? She wasn’t as hungry as Amun so maybe one or two. They should be really easy to catch.

"Well in that cause I think I will put my fish catching skills to the test as well." He smiled as he stood then chuckled at her comment. "Oh dear... I cant disappoint all those pretty girls. I manly really." He often found himself joking around and much more different when he was around Hijiki. Normally he was more serious but when he was around her he became more childish. "Be careful... keep an eye out of anything that would harm you... just uhh... if anything is after you scream and I will come running... boy that... that sounded a lot better in my head...."
