"Tents suck. Tents suuuuck." She shuddered at the idea of Camp Larkspur being in tents. Tents with children everywhere. Oh lord.
"Cabins are always better! Especially if they give us senior cabins- then we can party it up without the kids ever knowing!" she said, winking. Talia used the word "party" sparingly- her idea of a party was talking about cute boys and whacking each other with pillows.
Speaking of boys. "Think there will be any cute boys at Larkspur?" she said, tapping her chin. If there was one thing that could make Talia spend two weeks in the woods with a bunch of children, it was boys. Boys boys boys.
The image of two old people square dancing was just hilarious to Talia, but she kept it contained with a few suppressed giggles. "That's ... adorable! You'll have to teach me some time." Talia had never been square dancing- but it sounded fun!
Talia looked at her phone again. "It's about time for me to leave. D'you want me to give you that ride home?"

Castille nodded, saying "Let's hope we get the senior cabins then!" It could be a lot of fun being in the same cabin as Talia. Who knows, maybe they would end up those friends that stayed up late talking and confessing their deepest secrets.
"I sure hope that there are cute boys!" Castille wasn't the best at talking to boys. Actually, she was great at talking to them, bad at anything else. The thought of finding romance at camp made her heart skip a beat.
She rose from the machine, stretching upward. "If you wanted to that would be great. I can give you directions to my house. Lemme just send my dad a text." She flipped her phone open, scrolling to her dad's number and sending a quick text to him assuring him that she would get home safely. Then she made a move to exit, saying "Show me that way!"

Talia shook her head at Castille's response. "No, we'll definitely be getting senior cabins or my father will have to have a word with the camp director." Normally Talia didn't like to wave her father's influence or money around, but this was an absolute emergency. Talia could not spend two weeks in the woods with kids in TENTS.
"Mmmmm boys. There are bound to be right?" She smiled and gave a laugh at Castille's flustered face- it was pretty obvious she was thinking of romance. Talia could tell the look on anyone's face because she wore it so often on her own face. Very seriously though, she looked at Castille and said, "If there are any cute blonde ones, they're mine."
With that, her face resumed to it's normal, happy pallor and she stood up to stretch like Castille. She was a nice girl, it would be pleasant to see her again. They were in no way great friends now, but acquaintances were always useful. Especially ones that were willing to talk when things got boring.
Talia started inching towards the door, pulling her own phone out to text her mother. She tapped the keys spelling out a text message:
b home soon. c u then!
It wasn't the most accurate spelling, nor very pretty to look at, but it got the message across. Not to mention it was faster to type out. "Sure, my civic's parked down the street. It's just a block or so." She nodded, confirming that it was okay for a ride home. She began to walk towards the door daintily- her muscles were still a bit sore from working out.
