Deep Dazzle That sounds a lot like Therion. If fits all the requirements. From what I'm seeing, the OP doesn't like harsh vocals, so even though Therion is a good rec, that would probably make a difference in her judgment. Immoral Oblivion I don't like much of other music, and I'm not willing to try it either. Just wanted to make the point that this is an incredibly shallow mindset.

By 'other music' I mean other types of music, like country, rap, jazz, pop, etc. I don't like it, so I'm not willing to try any more.

Immoral Oblivion I don't like it, so I'm not willing to try any more. Hence the reason I use the phrase 'shallow mindset.' A good music fan should always challenge his/herself to new things, even if he/she's had bad experiences with them in the past. That's about the only thing that I can contribute to this thread, because I can't say as you really deserve any recommendations for having that kind of mentality towards new types of music.

I've heard my share of country(I grew up listening to nothing but that and old 90/early 2000 pop). I don't like it. That's all there is to it. I've heard, and still do hear a lot of rap/hip-hop/etc. I don't like it. I've heard a lot of music, just because I don't like it shouldn't make me a 'bad music fan'. I'm also not using this thread to become a good music fan, I'm asking for suggestions similar to my music preferences. Obviously if someone suggests some Dr. Dre or Martina McBride songs that fit the criteria, I'll be pretty iffy on liking them. And I most likely wouldn't want to listen to it. If that makes me a bad music fan, then so be it. Everyone is so some point.

(I know there's longer) Trying a song anyone recomends isn't exactly like seeing a bad movie or huge waste of time. Not that it matters, everyone's allowed to have their preferences. I'm not much into metal, but I always liked apoclypitica. Vast's Touched is pretty good too.

Regardless of what you say, your ideas on music are still narrow-minded. I never said disliking music you've already heard constitutes being a bad music fan, so please refrain from twisting my words to satisfy your argument. I stated that a proper music fan keeps an open mind about ALL forms of music, be it conventional or abstract, even if those artists fall within genres with which you've had bad experiences in the past. Simply turning your nose up at a group because it's part of a genre that you've generally disliked, even if you've generally had nothing but disdain for it, is still a display of narrow-mindedness and immaturity.
