Wondering what kind of food this area of the woods held, she followed along quietly. Smiling as she noticed his cheerful mood, she stopped when he did and waited patiently, bending and plucking a flower to tie into her hair with the others.

Calder had his eyes closed as he tried to picture the woods and how to get to the fruit trees. When he remembered he opened his eyes, turning his head to look at Glorianna. He saw her pick a flower and tie it into her hair. He smiled thinking how he had done that for her so long ago.
When he was sure he had her attention he pointed to the woods in a 'let's go' gesture. He began walking, heading straight ahead. They would have to turn slightly to the left when they got to the odd mossy tree.

Finished with the flower, she nodded and followed along. At least he seemed to know where he was going. Did he still live around here? While she was content with the companionable quiet, her curiosity got the better of her by the time they turned at the old tree. "Calder? What kind of magic do you have?"

Calder was looking around for the next land mark before they got to the grove of trees that had the fruit he wanted to share with her. He spotted the fallen tree and grinned. After hopping over that they'd be just about there.
Upon hearing her question, he flushed brightly. He hadn't really experienced any magic yet or rather he hasn't really tried. He wasn't sure what it was he needed to do and Cherish was no help. He did, however, know it must have something to do with water or rather rain. He could predict when it would rain and sometimes when he wanted it to rain, it would. Realizing he never answered her, he patted his rump and made a question mark in the air to show he thought it was something like his markings but he wasn't sure.

She noticed his blush as she climbed over the tree, tilting her head curiously. Did he not have magic either? She would never have guessed that what took his voice might also have taken his magic! But then he patted his hide. Frowning, she reached to pet his fur before realizing what he had meant. "Clouds?" She asked, looking up at the sky impulsively. The question mark though.. "So, maybe something to do with clouds. Have you not practiced?"

He slowly led the way to the tree grove. He glanced at her when she reached to pet his fur. He nodded his head to both things. He thought it had something to do with clouds or more like rain. And yes he had not practiced. He didn't know how to do any magic. Things with rain just seemed to happen when he wanted them to.
They finally reached the grove and he walked up to one of the trees. He stood up on his hind legs and reached up to grab the fruit. He then got down and handed it to her. He smiled a little hoping she liked apples. He reached up and got one for himself. After eating half of it he looked around for a dirt patch. Once he got over to the small area of dirt he found he knelt down. He wrote, 'Don't know how.' and then finished his apple.

Tilting her head, she gently bit her lip in consideration. Something to do with clouds... Maybe rain as well. She accepted the fruit with a thank you, biting into it and humming softly. Fruit was always delicious right off the tree. She walked over when she saw him writing again. "Hmm. I don't know how to help. Practicing magic is a little different for everyone." She took another bite, chewing slowly as she thought. "You must have experienced it in some way to believe it's there. Have you tried focusing on how those other times felt? See if you can copy what happened last time?"

Tossing the apple core into the grass where other small animals would finish it off, he frowned at what she said. So practicing was different for everyone. That didn't really help either. He shook his head at her questions. No he ever tried to focus on how he felt during those times where it rained out of the blue. Just hot and thirsty. He didn't think that was the trigger to using magic. He thought about what she said and flicked his tail. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he had wished it to rain or stop or to know if it would rain later. He quickly wrote in the dirt, 'Wish only common factor. Maybe that's it?'

"You wish for the clouds or rain and it happens?" She asked rhetorically, shifting her weight as she chewed her apple. "That might be a clue for you." She said with a nod, tossing the core of her apple to the side as well. "Do you think you can try wishing for it now? Think about what you feel like when you really want it."

He absently nodded his head at her rhetoric question. He was already thinking about when he wished it would rain or get cloudy. He guess he did feel a little different at those times but it wasn't something he could describe. He focused on her when she asked a question to him. He nodded that he would try now.
He looked up at the sky, relatively cloudless, and closed his eyes. He pictured a cloudy sky, darker clouds that hinted at rain to come. He got that strange, indescribable feeling and began focusing on that. Maybe if he tried to amplify it somehow, he could make the clouds faster.

Watching his focus turn inward, Glorianna turned her eyes to the sky. Her eyes that currently matched what was above scanned and studied. She saw a wisp of cloud move along high above at a quick pace, but was that Calder, or just the sky? She perked her ears as a breeze picked up, but again, was this nature being nature, or was Calder really influencing the sky?

Calder felt the strange feeling grow as he focused more on it and also felt himself tire out. He tried to push the strange feeling towards the clouds in his minds and then push those out to the real sky. He didn't open his eyes, instead relied on Glorianna to let him know if clouds were appearing. He was quickly tiring and soon had to kneel on the ground so he wouldn't fall down. He thought back to previous times and realized that every time that he wished it to ran he got really tired afterwards.

Though focused on the appearance of another thin cloud, she turned and gasped softly as Calder dropped to his knees. She hurried over and put her hands on his shoulders. "Don't try too hard." She said quietly. "Just focus." Eyes flicking up to the heavens again, she wondered if she might be able to help. Sighing softly, she carefully sent her healing powers toward Calder, hoping she might be able to help him keep up with however much trying his magic was costing him, and thus reduce how tired it made him. "Clouds are coming." She murmured encouragingly.

Calder nodded to acknowledge that he heard her. He certainly was focusing and it didn't seem like he was trying too hard. Just thinking about putting clouds in the sky. He felt a warm feeling after a few minutes and felt a little less tired. He wondered what that feeling was from and if it had anything to do with her touching him since it happened shortly after she touched him. He focused on her saying clouds were coming and went to put a little more energy in his thoughts of clouds forming. However he did slip in his concentration and put a little too much energy into it. He quickly opened his eyes for his last thought had been very dark clouds, thunderstorm clouds, and deluge of rain. It had somehow slipped into his mind and if this did work they would soon be soaked.

Still putting little bits of her magic to work, she was looking up at the sky in delight. More clouds were coming! It was amazing! Unknowing of the male's last thoughts, she faced him again. Seeing his eyes open, she gave him a bright smile. "You did it!" She praised in a soft but excited voice. "See? You can do magic!"
